Xu Mubai would never believe that Feng Chu took him as a disciple without Lou Munan's influence.
He thought of A Yao.
He finally understood why she treated him so coldly and unpredictably. It was because he was the reincarnation of Lou Munan, and her beloved Xu Fengzhi was Lou Munan's alter ego, whom Lou Munan had even taken back. Every time she was gentle, she was treating him as Xu Fengzhi, or perhaps the Black Nest Lord she loved, or someone else. Every time she beat and kicked him, she was treating him as Lou Munan, her mortal enemy.
Xu Mubai was furious. Although he had long realized that A Yao was using him as a substitute, he was still angry and even resentful after learning everything.
“You’re right. I took you as my disciple because you are the reincarnation of Lou Munan. But I also understand that you are not him; you are you,” Feng Chu said sadly.
Just like himself, he is no longer Xiaoyue.
Otherwise, why would Lou Munan reincarnate so readily?
If he were Xiaoyue, he definitely wouldn't be willing to abandon him like this and let the cycle of reincarnation continue.
The master and disciple looked at each other, speechless, and remained silent for a long time.
After a long while, Xu Mubai smiled and said, "No matter what, my master has been very good to me all these years. No matter what, you are still my master."
He reached out and patted Feng Chu's head.
Feng Chu: "..."
The white-robed youth slapped Xu Mubai's hand away, and said angrily, "You've become a Celestial Emperor, have you grown bold? You even dare to touch Master's head."
Xu Mubai chuckled softly.
After a while, Feng Chu asked, "Are you... are you going to see her?"
Xu Mubai nodded and said, "I have something to say to her in person."
Looking at Xu Mubai's face, Feng Chu seemed to guess what he wanted to do and said, "Then you'd better be polite, you can't beat her."
Xu Mubai smiled and said, "If she were to kill me, Master, would you come to my rescue?"
Feng Chu thought about this question and got a headache: "She probably wouldn't have the heart to beat you to death."
"What if she really wants to kill me?" Xu Mubai asked.
Feng Chu said, "Then I will definitely go to save you, but even if the two of us join forces, we probably can't beat him. As for your deadpan grandmaster, he definitely won't help. And that guy Chu Tian, I guess he wouldn't even dare to face Feng Yao."
Xu Mubai: "That sounds terrible."
The young boy sighed, "Yes, our Sword God Palace already has four Immortal Emperors, yet we still can't defeat Feng Yao alone."
Xu Mubai smiled and touched Feng Chu's cute cheek again: "Then I'll try my best not to get beaten to death by her."
"Don't pinch my cheeks, you've got some nerve."
Feng Chu said angrily, and Xu Mubai burst into laughter.

In Phoenix Palace, a huge, bright moon hung above the palace like a mirror. Inside the magnificent palace, beautiful gauze curtains hung, and two young girls were playing chess beside a jade table.
The two girls were dressed in red palace dress embroidered with golden phoenix patterns. Their long black hair was styled into a high bun, topped with a phoenix crown and adorned with golden phoenix hairpins on either side. They were stunningly beautiful, with skin as white as cream and a red mark between their eyebrows, like a red floral decoration.
The other girl wore a white gauze dress, her long, jet-black hair cascading down her back like a smooth, black satin ribbon, adorned without any adornment. The girl in white looked exactly like the girl in the red palace dress; they were like twins.
Behind each of the two girls was a divine halo, shimmering with divine light, and filled with chaotic energy and primordial purple. Both girls were incomparably holy, like twin goddesses.
These two girls are A Yao and her clone.
A Yao's main body holds the black pieces, while her clone holds the white pieces.
The two of them are playing chess.
Just as they were halfway through their game, the space here began to move. Ripples appeared in the air as a spatial rift was torn open, creating a spatial portal.
A tall, white figure stepped out of the spatial portal; it was a handsome man dressed in white.
Both Ayao looked towards the newcomer.
Xu Mubai was stunned for a moment.
He hadn't seen her for over ten thousand years, and he never expected to see two of her at once in this Phoenix Palace. The two of her looked at him with identical indifferent eyes, two pairs of eyes, four pupils, like four sharp swords piercing him.
He stood there, speechless for a moment.
After a long pause, he finally said, "Should I say 'long time no see'?"
The red-clad Ayao looked at him and said, "You shouldn't have barged in like this. This is the Phoenix Palace. Didn't your master teach you manners?"
After saying this, A Yao placed another piece.
"You know I'm in the Sword God Palace. I've been in the Sword God Palace for so long, why don't you come to see me even once?" Xu Mubai asked.
The woman in white, Ayao, said, "Didn't you want to get rid of me in the first place? Now that I've left, why are you unhappy? Do you regret it, so I have to go back and coax you?"
Hearing these cold words, Xu Mubai felt a surge of anger. He said self-deprecatingly:
"That's true. In your heart, I'm just a substitute. Why would you care about my feelings?"
"Weren't you happy being with Feng Chu for over ten thousand years? I've already let you go, so why are you coming back now? If you don't want to be a substitute, I won't force you. From now on, you will be yourself," A Yao said.
“But I have never forgotten you in these ten thousand years,” Xu Mubai said loudly.
Both A-Yaos had indifferent expressions. The A-Yao in red looked at him and said, "It hasn't been long enough. You'll be fine in another ten thousand years."
What if I can't forget?
“That’s your problem,” said Ayao, who was dressed in red.
Upon hearing this, Xu Mubai felt as if a sharp sword had pierced his heart: "You are truly cold and heartless..." He murmured, head bowed, "Clearly, clearly you came to provoke me, you were the one who provoked me..."
His voice carried a chill, and he suddenly raised his head, his golden eyes flashing with bloodlust.
After gazing at him for a long time, the white-clad Ayao and the red-clad Ayao sighed in unison. Then, they both stood up and walked towards Xu Mubai. One in red, one in white, two identical girls, as they walked, their bodies merged into one.
The phoenix, dressed in colorful palace attire, with long, flowing black hair and a white shawl wrapped around her arms, looked at the young man who had just become the Celestial Emperor and said:
"You're filled with anger? Then raise your sword and fight me."
Behind her appeared an enormous nine-colored phoenix phantom, radiating divine light and manifesting the laws of the Great Dao. The entire space became ethereal, turning into chaos.
