The sky was clear and the breeze was gentle.
Ayao flew across the sea of clouds on her sword, and when she arrived beside a mountain peak, she heard a series of clear, cheerful laughs. She released her divine sense and saw Lu Xuening surrounded by a crowd on Purple Peak. Her brothers were all looking at her tenderly, as if she were the only treasure in the world. Standing on her flying sword, Ayao recalled how she had nearly died in the water prison, and no one had even bothered to visit her.
Her eyes stung, and she felt like crying.
She forced back her tears, turned her head, and flew away on her sword into the distance.
Lu Yun Shen, standing on Ziji Peak, glanced in the direction A Yao had left. His divine sense followed A Yao, seeing her pale face. He remembered the maid mentioning that Xiao Qi had been released. He had wanted to see Xiao Qi, but he had been too busy, so he hadn't gone until today.
After being locked up for so long, Xiao Qi should be more sensible than before now that she's been released, right? He thought to himself.
Xiao Qi just glanced over here and left. Could it be that she still harbors resentment?
Thinking of this, Lu Yunshen sighed. When will Xiao Qi be able to change her temper?
He wanted to chase after A Yao and ask her, but Lu Xuening smiled and grabbed his hand. Looking at Lu Xuening's innocent smile, Lu Yunshen gave up the idea of chasing after A Yao.

Amidst the mountains, a slender figure darted swiftly across the peaks on a flying sword. Ayao remembered going to Buquan Palace to collect her allowance, only to be given a few spirit stones and sent away. Ayao knew those fellows had embezzled her belongings, but what good was knowing?
Her own parents and her own brother didn't even come to see her when she was about to die. If word got out, would they still stand up for her?
She had no choice but to find a way to earn some spirit stones and then buy the materials she needed.
A Yao flew out of the Kunshan Mountains on her sword and came to the outside world.
Every time Lu Xuening went out, she was accompanied by a large group of people, traveling on a magnificent airship. But she always went alone; her maids never paid her any attention. When she left Kunshan territory, the guards glanced at her and then looked away. No one cared where she was going.
After leaving Kunshan, Ayao arrived at a market town frequented by ordinary cultivators. After looking at some materials there, she realized she was short of money, so she went to Zhaoyao Mountain. Zhaoyao Mountain was home to numerous demonic beasts, whose inner cores and body parts could be used in medicine. She planned to hunt some of these beasts to earn some spirit stones.

Rumble—
With a deafening roar, countless rocks tumbled down from the mountain peaks on either side, crashing into the valley and raising clouds of dust. Amidst the billowing dust, a small, thin girl stood atop a flying sword, followed by a swarm of bat-like demonic beasts. The girl's face was filled with terror; she was covered in wounds, blood gushing from a gash in her abdomen, and her complexion grew increasingly pale.
Ah Yao thought to herself, "Why is my luck so bad?"
She hadn't intended to venture deep into Zhaoyao Mountain; she only wanted to kill a few low-level demonic beasts outside. She was only targeting lone level-one demonic beasts, but she was incredibly unlucky. After killing one, the scent of its blood attracted a large horde of level-two demonic beasts. Having been tortured in the water prison for so long, her strength hadn't even recovered; how could she possibly defeat so many level-two demonic beasts?
Does God really not give me any good luck at all?
Was Lu Xueyao born this unlucky?
Ayao wanted to cry again.
boom!
Ayao was struck by a falling rock. She screamed in agony as her flying sword went out of control, and she plummeted from the sky to the ground. The bat demons chasing her let out sharp screechs and swooped down, pouncing on Ayao. Seeing Ayao, writhing in pain from the fall, sitting up in terror, her body stiff, she knew she was about to be torn to pieces by the bat demons' sharp claws. Even Ayao thought she was doomed.
At this critical moment, a white figure appeared. With a wave of a folding fan, countless dense wind blades appeared throughout the valley. The cyan wind blades flew like flowers, and the group of bat demons were instantly killed.
Ayao sat on the ground, looking up at the sky with her eyes wide open.
A man was reflected in her eyes.
This was a very young man, dressed in white as snow, holding a black folding fan in his hand. The wind made his long, black hair dance in the air; his face was like jade, his demeanor elegant, and his gentle smile was like a spring breeze.
Having narrowly escaped death, Ayao stared blankly at the figure, as if she were seeing a celestial being in white robes.
Xu Fengzhi stood in the sky looking at the stunned A Yao. Several figures flew in from all around, all of them disciples of the Divine Dream Sect.
Xu Fengzhi gracefully descended from the sky and stood in front of A Yao. He smiled and asked, "Little girl, are you alright?"
Ah Yao was panting heavily. She looked at Xu Fengzhi, speechless, still in shock.
Xu Fengzhi saw the wounds on A Yao's body, and also the Xuanling Ancient Jade hanging at A Yao's waist.
The Mysterious Spirit Jade? All the children of the Lu family head in Kunshan have it; Xu Fengzhi has seen it on the eldest and second young masters of the Lu family. The Lu family head only has one daughter. Although he hasn't met her, he's heard of the Eighth Miss Lu. This girl clearly can't be the precious jewel that the Lu family cherishes. Who is she?
Could it be that a branch of the Lu family also possesses the Xuanling Ancient Jade?
Xu Fengzhi looked at the terrified little girl. Her robes were very ordinary. A quick scan with his divine sense revealed that she had been severely injured earlier, her foundation damaged, and now she was covered in wounds. She was pale and thin, so small and frail that it seemed as if the wind could blow her away. She was truly pitiful.
Xu Fengzhi helped A Yao up and began treating her.
The bleeding from Ayao's wounds stopped quickly.
Xu Fengzhi then took out a bottle of pills from his storage bag and said with a smile, "This is for you."
Ayao stared blankly at his handsome face; it was the first time a stranger had ever smiled so gently at her.
At that moment, a bolt of lightning appeared in the sky, then exploded, transforming into the totem of the Divine Dream Sect. Xu Fengzhi's expression changed; this was a signal when a Divine Dream Sect disciple was in danger. Xu Fengzhi turned to a female disciple and said, "You stay here and escort her to safety."
After speaking, Xu Fengzhi transformed into a streak of azure light and shot towards the horizon, disappearing without a trace in an instant. The other disciples of the Divine Dream Sect also vanished one by one, leaving only a female disciple dressed in a light green robe.
After the female disciple took A Yao to a safe place, she left. As she left, A Yao learned from her who had saved her: Xu Fengzhi, the young master of the Shenmeng Sect.
"A gentle breeze arrives..."
Ayao murmured the name, holding the bottle of pills Xu Fengzhi had given her. Once the lid was opened, a rich medicinal fragrance wafted out. These pills contained abundant spiritual energy and were specifically designed to heal injuries and repair one's foundation.
