Then, he used the water-based magic from the Lesser Five Elements spells to draw water from the Huilong River in front of the courtyard gate, cleaning the bluestone floors of several rooms and the courtyard thoroughly.
Then another fire spell dried the damp room in an instant.
After all this was done, all traces of the courtyard having ever been inhabited disappeared.
The entire space felt brand new.
Xu Lu thought for a moment and then asked the AI butler 'Zhenweis' to place an order for some furniture and other items online.
Once all the orders were delivered to an empty warehouse, Xu Lu flew away again.
He used his personal space to pack all the items back, and then put all the furniture and belongings into the room in the small courtyard.
This place is habitable.
Although Mr. Xu doesn't stay here often, since we've bought it, we should make sure it's well-maintained so that people feel comfortable.
I can stay here for a couple of days now and then without feeling uncomfortable.
Just as Xu Lu saw that everything was ready and was about to enter the room...
Suddenly a weak voice came:
"Uncle... these are eggs my mother asked me to bring to you. My mother and I live next door to you."
Xu Lu looked back.
Sometime later, a little girl of about seven or eight years old stood timidly at the gate of the courtyard, holding a bowl with six eggs in it.
Presumably because the bluestone ground in the courtyard was too clean, the little girl didn't dare to come in. After she finished speaking, she just stood at the door and looked at Xu Lu.
