Chapter 45: Hanging the Flag

"Mr. Mido, it's really unfair of you to do this. You're going to marry your daughter to me, right? If you kill me, you won't have a son-in-law."

The battle in the port is over, and the remaining resistance is all on the ships, but the Baltic Nobles Alliance Fleet has cut off their retreat, leaving them completely trapped.

At the dock, Wodek confronted Marcus Ster's hundreds of men with only a few veterans of the Silver Deer Legion.

Xia Lan was protected by several people behind him, but facing hundreds of spears, Wodek just hoped that the boat robbers would come back quickly, otherwise they might have to die here today.

"Woldek Fusen, the current head of the Fusen family of the Tudor Kingdom, is the illegitimate son of Luo Ping Fusen. Am I right?"

Ash Mido stepped forward and asked Wodek, who was alert with his sword.

"So what?"

Wodek said with gritted teeth that he had just encountered a wounded silver warrior while catching the mage. Although he and his men killed the warrior together, he was still hit by a sword in the gap of the armor under his ribs.

"Wodek Fusen, you possess the blood of the Black Dog, so you must be a noble. Kill him, and White Wave Island will be yours, as will Blackwater Island. The Fusen surname will take root in the Baltic Sea."

Seeing that Wodek admitted it, Ash Mido didn't say much and made a generous promise directly.

“I disdain the name Fusen. Countless years from now, Wodek will shine brighter than the Black Dog Fusen!

"Ashe Midor, release the man I swore allegiance to, or you will suffer a revenge a hundred times more severe than that of the Black Dog!"

"Revenge? Do you think you can get out alive? You are nothing like the Black Dogs of Tudor. They are sinister, treacherous, greedy and cruel. No wonder they drove you out."

Ash Mido didn't take it seriously. He waved the staff in his hand, and a ball of fire rose above the heads of Xia Lan and others, condensing into a fireball. The temperature became more and more terrifying. Just as he was about to suppress the fireball, Xia Lan walked out from behind Wodek.

"Um... let me be clear, Wardeck, you're bronze, and I'm silver. If you stand in front of me like this, this guy will really think I'm a loser."

Ash Mido knew that villains died because they talked too much, but seeing that Xia Lan looked fearless, he couldn't help but ask a question.

"Xia Lan Auglos, do you have any last words?"

Xia Lan rubbed her nose and said helplessly: "I told you to be careful, but those guys still killed like crazy and even lost their boss.

But I still have to criticize you. You should use your backup plan in the future, otherwise you will only benefit others. Look at this."

When Ash Mido saw the red crystals in Xia Lan's hand, his pupils shrank. "I knew you had a backup plan, but what can a few Explosive Flame Crystals do to me?"

"Don't you think it looks familiar? This is what you buried in the dock and the sea. There's a lot more underneath."

Ash Mido realized that these were indeed planted by him before the enemy arrived, in order to find an opportunity to severely damage the enemy's sixth level.

There was just a small accident. The opponent's sixth-level wizard lost his staff and could only hide on the command ship. The sixth-level warrior was fighting with Taikelo on the sea.

The two men clashed with their swords on the waves, their fighting spirit running wild, and they paid no attention to what was happening on the dock. There were still a large number of remnants of the fleet, and there were only shouts and screams. Varean and others could not see through the darkness that their boss was surrounded.

"This is the place you buried it, right? Should we give it a try?"

After saying that, Xia Lan raised her finger and drew a few runes and hit them into the ground. However, the runes were imprinted on the stone slab and shattered after Xia Lan stepped on it and a puff of white smoke came out. Xia Lan didn't believe it and decided to try again.

"Stop! Xialan Auglos, you win..."

Ash Mido put down his staff and made way. Seeing this, Wodek prepared to escort Xia Lan away.

But after taking two steps, Xia Lan stopped him and said, "Are you stupid? This is the unboxing session."

After saying that, he pushed away Marcus Ster who was in the way and climbed onto an enemy ship that had been occupied but had no one on it.

The people who occupied this ship have already gone to capture the next one. Now everyone wants to rush to the command ship first and occupy this rune ship, completely forgetting the ordinary warships behind.

Xia Lan wrote Xia Lan Augulus on it and went to the next unmanned ship in a leisurely manner. Wodek had to follow him with his men.

"What are you still standing there for? Recover the Explosive Flame Crystal!"

Ash Mido roared in frustration. This was the first time they had seen the Earl like this. They immediately took action, but after searching for a long time, they found that the Explosive Crystals they had buried under the stone were gone, even in the sea.

"Sharan Auglos!"

Hearing Ash Mido's roar, Xia Lan silently prayed for the blessing of the Lord of Truth and continued her carving journey.

Acarius had just climbed over the side of the command ship, holding the Storm Knights' flag in his mouth, when he heard the sound of feathered arrows breaking through the wind.

"bite!"

A long arrow created a spark on the chest armor, and the powerful force made him take a few steps back.

In the moonlight, Acaris saw the man clearly. He was wearing gorgeous golden armor, holding a golden bow and silver arrows, carrying a heavy sword on his back, and the unicorn emblem of the Huimido family was printed on his arm armor.

"Don't do it, we're one people. I'm from White Wave Island."

Acarius spoke quickly, and the other party stopped, but the golden bow in his hand was still pointed at his neck. Both of them were wearing masks and could not see each other's faces clearly.

"What are you doing here alone?"

The young woman's voice came from under the visor, her voice was cold and clear, like the moonlight falling on the deck.

"Hang the flag."

Because the ownership of the spoils was not discussed before the war, whoever occupied it owned it. Hanging one's own military flag would definitely prove that the ship was captured by them.

Aceris felt a little embarrassed. After all, due to the desperate resistance of the surrounding fleets, no one had been able to take down the command ship. His approach of raising the flag first and then occupying the ship always felt a bit unethical.
