As soon as Zhou Chenyu stepped into the room, before she could even look around, she saw Qian Rushan and the others starting to rummage through drawers and cabinets, searching for things.
"Damn it! There's nothing here at all!" Qian Rushan kicked over the pot next to him, and the iron lid clattered to the ground.
Zhou Chenyu looked at the thing, quietly clenched her fist, and suppressed the urge to lose her temper.
"Second Master, don't worry. It's early spring now, and there are no hunters here, so we definitely won't find anything to eat. Wait here, I'll go out and catch a few fish right away."
A servant said in a low, subservient voice.
Qian Rushan plopped down and grunted, "Go out and get me some water. I'm thirsty!"
"Okay."
Another servant rushed out as well.
Zhou Chenyu watched them leave, pressed herself tightly against the wall, and vaguely wanted to knock Qian Rushan down immediately and then run away.
However, with her hands tightly bound, if she rashly fought with Qian Rushan, she would not only be unable to break free, but she would also likely anger him again and cause her to suffer.
"Zhou Chenyu, trying to run away?" Qian Rushan glanced at her coldly, seeing through her thoughts in an instant.
Zhou Chenyu plopped down, exhausted. "You're all grown men. I'm just a weak woman. Where can I run to if I fall into your hands?"
Qian Rushan snorted coldly, "Who do you think you are? You're not a decent woman at all. Any man who falls into your hands will have to be careful."
Not a respectable woman?
Zhou Chenyu rolled her eyes. "I'm in your hands, say whatever you want."
As soon as he finished speaking, two servants, one carrying water and the other carrying a fish with its skewer attached, hurried back to their original spot.
Their return was so swift that it exceeded Zhou Chenyu's expectations.
Zhou Chenyu breathed a sigh of relief; thankfully, he hadn't made a move.
"Second Master, look, we've caught so many fish, we'll definitely have a full stomach tonight," the servant said happily, having been hungry all day.
It will definitely fill my stomach, right?
Qian Rushan's lips twitched when he heard this. He never thought that he would fall into such a state one day.
They weren't after delicacies or fine wines; they were simply looking for a hearty meal.
"Go away! Your second uncle is starving, you guys hurry up and cook me a meal!" Qian Rushan shouted in a boisterous manner.
"Alright." The two servants immediately picked up whatever cooking utensils were in the room and started rummaging around in them.
Zhou Chenyu looked at Qian Rushan lying listlessly on the bed, while the two servants were running around like lackeys.
I can't help but laugh.
While they were all busy with their own things, she glanced around the room, and when no one was looking, she secretly grabbed a handful of small wooden mallets and hid them on her person, then looked at them nonchalantly.
After a long while, the servant carefully returned to the room with a piece of fish soup that was barely passable. "Second Master, the dishes are ready. It's time to eat."
"What?" Qian Rushan opened his eyes wide, and smelling the aroma, he immediately snatched the bowl from the servant and started gulping it down.
The servant glanced at it, then secretly drooled, "Second Master, eat slowly."
After Qian Rushan had eaten and drunk his fill, he divided the remaining food between the two of them.
The two looked at Zhou Chenyu, who was sitting empty to the side, and asked, "Second Master, what should we do with her?"
What should I do?
Qian Rushan looked at Zhou Chenyu, who had finished eating and drinking and spat to the side, cursing, "She's very tough; she won't die if she misses a meal."
The servant was delighted to hear this, and said, "I will do whatever you say, Second Master."
