The City of Allure Building was originally just an ordinary office building. I don't know who gave it that name, it sounds very high-end, but it's really just like that.
As soon as we entered the building, several people surrounded us.
"What are you doing?" a young man asked Lu Yuan and his companion with some suspicion.
Lu Yuan didn't know why the other party was so wary. They should be the ones being wary now. The expression on the other party's face showed that they were quite scared, especially since the iron rod in their hand was trembling.
Shen Tian quickly raised his hands and said, "Brother, don't misunderstand, I'm Shen Tian. This is a friend of mine who came to see Boss Kong about something. Um... Lu... Lu Yuan, by the way, I've never seen you before?"
The other person glanced at Chen Tian and then asked, "Do you know Boss Kong?"
"Of course, I'm one of his wholesalers! By the way, is Boss Kong here? Take us in!"
Seeing Shen Tian's relaxed expression, the other party immediately lowered their guard.
"Master Kong is upstairs, I'll go ask him! You all wait here!"
After saying that, he glanced at Lu Yuan again before turning around and rushing up the stairs.
Lu Yuan noticed that the other party had scrutinized him several times, and he immediately felt a little worried. He was carrying two things on him: a crossbow and a pistol. If they found these two items, it would be troublesome. So Lu Yuan went to the lobby on the first floor and found a former security guard room to hide his things. But when he opened the door of the security guard room, a stench hit him, and there were also some gnawing sounds coming from the dark room.
Lu Yuan immediately closed the door because he saw a corpse being devoured by a bunch of large rats inside; the scene was utterly disgusting.
After calming himself down, Lu Yuan opened the other doors again and finally found a slightly quieter room. After confirming that no one was watching and there were no cameras, Lu Yuan quietly took out the dimensional crystal.
After quickly putting the items into the dimensional space, Lu Yuan left the stinking room, which had obviously been used as a toilet by everyone.
Seeing Lu Yuan emerge with a frown, Shen Tian smiled and said, "How about it? Why not just find somewhere to settle this?"
"Yeah! That's right! But I still don't feel comfortable with someone suddenly appearing and watching me when I'm in the bathroom."
Not long after, footsteps came from the stairs. Lu Yuan wondered if the walkie-talkie the other person was holding was just for show, since they actually went up there themselves.
"Alright! Boss Kong said you two can go up! But you can't bring anything on you, I need to check first!"
Shen Tian was clearly familiar with the process, and he took out a dagger from his pocket and placed it on the table.
Lu Yuan had nothing left on him. Of course, he had prepared a pack of cigarettes. Although cigarettes couldn't be eaten or drunk, they were still a form of hard currency, and sometimes even more important than food for some long-time smokers.
Seeing the cigarettes Lu Yuan pulled out, Shen Tian swallowed hard and said, "Brother, didn't you say you didn't have any cigarettes?"
He took this pack of cigarettes out of the dimensional space; he had already distributed all the cigarettes he had brought with him.
"Hey! I was keeping these for myself! I'll give them to Boss Kong as a gift when I see him later. I'll bring you a pack next time I come!"
After he said that, Shen Tian's expression immediately improved.
So they followed the security guard upstairs. By the time they reached the seventh floor, both the security guard and Shen Tian were panting heavily. Climbing stairs was obviously a very strenuous activity, but Lu Yuan was completely unfazed. He did a lot of exercise every day to improve his physical fitness. Anyway, there was plenty of food at home, so it would be a waste not to use it for training.
"Knock knock knock," the security guard knocked on the door.
The iron gate opened, and two tall, muscular men came out, using metal detectors to check the three of them.
Then he led Lu Yuan and Shen Tian inside.
As soon as I entered the room, a cool breeze hit me, along with a fruity aroma.
After passing a narrow corner, Lu Yuan saw that the entire interior of the building had been transformed into a hydroponic green belt. Various kinds of vegetables were planted on both sides of the road. The plants were supported by a plastic box at the bottom, but all the plants were covered with glass domes, and each dome had some labels on it.
The labels read "Cucumber No. 102, twelve in total, XX in charge," and several women in gray short-sleeved shirts were picking the ripe cucumbers one by one and changing the numbers on them.
Boxes of finished vegetables were relabeled and transported to another room, which was clearly full of stockpiled vegetables and fruits.
Lu Yuan was completely stunned. This was only the seventh floor, while the entire building had more than thirty floors. Obviously, the upper floors had been converted into a vegetable and fruit cultivation base.
Shen Tian licked his lips when he saw the fruit, but was glared at by the security guard next to him. Then the two of them were taken to another room to wait. There were already quite a few people sitting in this room, obviously all looking for Boss Kong.
The room had two rows of chairs, and upon entering, a woman wearing glasses was registering newcomers with a notebook.
"Here's your number plate. What are your names? What brings you here to see Boss Kong?" the woman asked, adjusting her glasses and getting straight to the point.
Shen Tian nudged Lu Yuandao with his shoulder: "You tell me yourself, I've already brought it. Are you still coming back with me later?"
"Oh! Thank you so much!"
Nodding, Shen Tian winked at the woman, but she was clearly not interested in him. She immediately turned to Lu Yuan and asked again.
"My name is Lu Yuan, and I'd like to buy some of this culture medium from Boss Kong."
The other person had just written Lu Yuan's name down with a pen, but stopped abruptly when she heard that Lu Yuan wanted to buy culture medium.
