The person then spoke softly.
"That new type of plant is actually a super plant created by several of their camps working together. This super plant has a growth rate of tens of thousands of times, and can grow rapidly!"
When the other person said this, Lu Yuan frowned slightly.
He already knew all of this, and he wanted to know what else was more important.
So he quickly interrupted the other person: "I already know all these things. Tell me something we don't know, like why these people took these plants out?"
After listening, the other person was taken aback for a moment, and then continued to speak.
"Experts from the World Group have predicted that the moon will enter the Earth and tear apart the Earth's atmosphere, causing global oxygen depletion!"
So what they need to do now is to plant a large number of different kinds of green plants and cultivate a new type of atmosphere through these green plants.
This plant is absolutely fantastic! It helps reduce soil moisture and releases large amounts of oxygen, preventing oxygen depletion on Earth after the atmosphere is torn apart!
When the other person got to this point, he glanced at Lu Yuan and noticed that Lu Yuan's expression didn't change at all; he was still waiting for him to continue.
He swallowed hard and continued, "But we have discovered a new phenomenon: once this plant is planted on a large scale, it will produce some oxygen in the early stages."
However, later on, they will consume a large amount of oxygen, and once this plant spreads, it will cause extreme damage to the buildings and ecosystem in the camp, as it will absorb all the nutrients from the soil.
Lu Yuan sighed; what was bound to happen would happen anyway.
This is a disaster caused by humans. He had always thought that the predicted oxygen deficiency was caused by the moon, but he did not expect that the moon was not the killer causing the oxygen deficiency.
These insane humans are one of the killers responsible for this enormous consequence.
Lu Yuan sighed and then gently waved his hand.
"But what does this have to do with me? I'm a victim too!"
The other person sighed, then pointed to a place in the distance and said.
"Jiang Wenguang and the others said that the reason they went to so much trouble to get me out was so that you would do something after you found out about this!"
Lu Yuan frowned as he listened. These people always treated him like a savior, but he had no such ability whatsoever.
He felt a pang of frustration, and seeing the expectant look on the other person's face, Lu Yuan sighed helplessly.
"Forget it, we can only take this one step at a time. Because things happened so suddenly, I wasn't prepared at all. You said the oxygen deficiency would start so rapidly, but when does it begin? And at which stages of plant growth does it occur? Why didn't the people in those labs calculate it?"
The other person shook his head, then took out two seeds packaged in a vacuum-sealed plastic bag from his pocket and handed them to Lu Yuan.
"This is the plant they already have. You said you already know about it, so I think it's necessary to give you another one so you can test it out!"
It would be best to build a protective layer nearby, because this plant grows too fast and could cause large-scale collapse. It would be best to have a closed laboratory inside to conduct the tests!
Because in the early stages, it releases a large amount of oxygen, at a very high concentration. However, later, once it begins to expand and branch outwards, it produces a significant side effect: its outer skin begins to wither, and this withering process absorbs a large amount of oxygen!
After taking the bag, Lu Yuan glanced at it and a serious expression appeared on his face.
He looked around and saw that the military and police forces outside were still deploying various tasks. If he wanted to bypass them and hide this person in his place, it might cause some trouble.
However, if they are not hidden here and sent out, they may be discovered.
Gritting his teeth, Lu Yuan didn't know what to do.
The man seemed to sense Lu Yuan's predicament; a smile appeared on his face, and he pointed outside.
"Don't worry, they'll be changing shifts in half an hour, and I can use that time to escape. You don't need to worry about me; I have the skills. Oh, by the way, I just got some food from your house; I'm so sorry!"
Lu Yuan was no longer willing to argue with the other party. He waved his hand helplessly and then glanced outside.
The military and police forces seemed to still be on alert because of what happened at the building. The whole city had been in chaos for the past two days, and Lu Yuan didn't know what would happen next.
Things were changing every day, making it impossible for Lu Yuan to predict what would happen next.
There was nothing more he could do but hope that things would stop getting chaotic.
Half an hour later, sure enough, the troops outside began their changing of the guard.
Just then, the back door of the villa was gently opened.
Lu Yuan glanced back and saw the person sneaking away from the house.
His hunched body resembled that of a kangaroo.
When the opportunity arose, the person quickly ran off in the distance.
Seeing him leave, Lu Yuan breathed a sigh of relief. He went to the door and gently closed it from the outside.
Just as the door was closed, a gunshot rang out from outside.
A loud gunshot rang out, making Lu Yuan's hand tremble.
Then he quickly pushed open the door and glanced outside.
The man who had been fine just moments before suddenly collapsed to the ground, half of his body submerged in the water, which was now stained red with blood seeping from the wound on his body.
Suddenly, Lu Yuan felt his mind go blank. The whistleblower who had just been talking to him was now shot in the head.
He looked in the direction the car was heading and saw a person on his roof smiling at him.
The other person rushed up to him and gave him an OK sign. The other person was holding a huge sniper rifle.
Lu Yuan finally understood that this person had actually discovered the man long ago, but he had not fired the shot.
Lu Yuan felt as if his heart was being squeezed, and he was in excruciating pain, but he was unable to resist in any way.
Everything here is so eerie.
