The mining area is about a two-hour drive from the Deep Sea Bar; without a car, it would take almost a whole morning to walk there.
So basically no one from this area crosses such a long distance to work unless there's a shuttle bus, but it seems like the road isn't even finished yet, let alone any shuttle bus.
Luo Cheng was a heavy smoker; he had a cigarette in his mouth the entire way.
The car was filled with a thick, smoky odor, making Lu Yuan feel suffocated. Anna behind him was even more uncomfortable.
However, Luo Cheng completely disregarded the fact that the other party was a girl, and kept wiping away thick cigarettes until he could no longer see the road. Only then did he use the wipers to make sure it wasn't fog outside, and then he realized that there was too much smoke inside the car.

Anna's face flushed slightly, especially when she heard the other person say that she and Lu Yuan were a couple. She wanted to argue, but seeing that Lu Yuan didn't react at all, she chose to acquiesce.

"Forget it, I probably won't be able to stay here for very long! If I can really help you, then I can go and assist you, but you can't restrict my personal freedom!"

So he nodded slightly, and before leaving, he said "be careful" and drove away from the mining area.

Then someone got up and opened the door. When they saw it was Lu Yuan, they greeted him with a smile and welcomed him inside.
Lu Yuan smiled, then took out cigarettes and a bottle of wine from his pocket and handed them over.
"Hey bro, look at you, you're being so polite coming all this way and you're even bringing drinks!"
Lu Yuan chuckled, then exchanged pleasantries with the two men before learning their names.
The older man is named Zhao Ting. He used to be a skilled worker, but he was forced into a concentration camp during the alien invasion. He stayed in the camp for about half a year before being sent to this place. He did hard labor for about half a year before being assigned here.
The other person was named Chen Zhen, who was also Zhao Ting's companion. The two of them came to this place after they came out of the concentration camp.
The man outside is named Hou Qiang. He is a veteran, but after the apocalypse, the military's systems completely collapsed, so he was forced to survive and travel to many different places.
