Chapter 122 Surrounded

Lu Yuan ignored him. This man was a madman who wanted to drag Lu Yuan into the ranks of villains and link the woman's death to himself. But Lu Yuan didn't care at all. If he had done this at the beginning, Lu Yuan might have felt some pity. But ever since he saw them rushing towards his house, Lu Yuan's compassion had vanished.

"Hmph! Not going to talk, huh! Fine! Then don't blame me for being impolite! Give me the knife!" The man gestured to someone nearby, and a thin boy handed him a dagger. The man then grabbed the woman by the neck and pressed his head against her skin, sniffing her neck repeatedly.

The woman screamed desperately to resist, but she hadn't eaten in so long that she had no strength left to fight back and could only let the man molest her.

At this moment, Xiao Shan, who was standing behind Lu Yuan, punched the wall hard, cursing angrily, "Scumbag! You're utterly scumbag!"

Lu Yuan knew he could suppress his pity, but his family couldn't, especially since the other party was holding an orphan and a widow in their hands to blackmail them.

So Lu Yuan turned around and quietly said to Xiao Shan, "Go and get my rifle!"

After hearing this, Xiao Shan's eyes lit up, and she quickly went to the box, took out the rifle, and handed it to Lu Yuan.

Lu Yuan coldly watched the man below prepare to strip off his clothes, then casually said, "Trash! I'm not playing with you today! Do whatever you want!"

After saying that, Lu Yuan turned and left.

Upon seeing Lu Yuan leave, the other person became so angry that he slapped the woman across the face.

"You wretched woman! You ruined my plans! Cry louder!"

The woman covered her mouth, her eyes filled with tears, but dared not resist. She could only silently place the child, who had just fallen asleep, aside.

A sinister glint flashed in the man's eyes, and he kept glancing at the window out of the corner of his eye. He couldn't believe that Lu Yuan would turn a blind eye and watch him kill the mother and child with his own hands.

The people around seemed quite afraid of this man, but they did not resist at all. Everyone watched his actions indifferently, and no one dared to stand up and say a word of justice.

At that moment, a dark gun muzzle appeared in the gap beneath the solar panels on the third-floor roof; it belonged to Lu Yuan.

Lu Yuan chewed gum, then took a deep breath and adjusted the rifle to single-fire mode, aligning the three points and aiming the crosshair at the man below.

The woman covered her face in pain, seemingly making a final struggle, while the man held a knife to her chin and said menacingly, "Do you want to die?"

In the end, the woman chose to comply, and she opened her mouth and let out a piercing cry.

Her voice was filled with helplessness and pain, and finally she began to wail incessantly, but not a single tear fell from the corner of her eye.

The man, pulling on the woman's hair, seemed to be showing off his spoils to Lu Yuan.

Just then, Lu Yuan pulled the trigger.

With a "bang," a bloody hole appeared between the man's eyebrows. The hand that had been tightly gripping the woman's hair suddenly lost its strength, and then the man collapsed.

The crowd below was in chaos; some started running, some started shouting. Only the woman stood motionless, like a puppet. She looked down at the man lying in front of her, then at the window, but didn't see Lu Yuan.

She collapsed to the ground. The gunshot had woken the child, who was now crying desperately. The woman gently picked up the child and comforted him for a while until the child stopped crying.

Then he bowed to the upstairs, picked up the child and left. More people followed him and left one by one.

Finally, he didn't know when. Lu Yuan felt that no one was moving anymore, as if everyone had left, but he still didn't dare to open the door to check. What if this was another trick they had used?

After waiting all night, people in the group started asking again if anyone had left, but no one was seen at Lu Yuan's house, which was closest to the main road.

Unable to wait any longer, Lu Yuan found a ladder and climbed up his own high wall.

Looking out, I saw that apart from the corpses scattered all over the ground, there was no one left here.

Lu Yuan instructed his family to guard the door and not to open it until he returned, then quietly opened the door.

First, a thin crack appeared. Lu Yuan looked around and saw no one, no living person.

So he mustered his courage and went outside, only to find that the area beneath his house's outer wall was piled high with burned corpses. Several days had passed, and the corpses were emitting a strong stench.

Covering his nose, Lu Yuan ran to the main road and looked around. There was no one there, except for the few people he had shot on the main road earlier. Everything was basically the same as when he came.

Lu Yuan was very excited, so he ran to the supermarket at the main intersection and knocked on the door.

But there was no response, so he sent a message in the group.

"The refugees are all gone! They're all gone! Everyone can come out now. Boss Sun, hurry up and get the water truck here! Explain the situation!"

The group chat immediately became lively. People who had been staying at home for several days came out of their homes, and the family members of those trapped in the supermarket also rushed over.

Liu Tiantian was seen running while crying, carrying her child. She almost fell down on the way, but luckily someone nearby helped her up.
