Lu Yuan felt a surge of excitement.
After seeing Lu Yuan hit his target so easily, the others also had a question in their minds.
"How could such a small, thin section of rope possibly support the weight of such a large section of rope? Are you crazy?"
"Yeah, you're not going to fall, are you? How could you possibly fall with such a thin rope?"
"My God, do you have a death wish? You think you can slide across such a small rope? There are so many bugs below. Even if there weren't bugs, you would still fall to your death."
Everyone began to distrust the thin rope in Lu Yuan's hand.
They didn't know how to describe their feelings; they were worried about Lu Yuan's success as well as his failure.
Lu Yuan, however, was completely unconcerned about the rope's strength; only he himself knew the truth.
This thing is much stronger than the same steel wire.
"Don't worry, I'll go take a look inside the building across the street. You can come with me if you'd like."
Upon hearing this, everyone shook their heads: "Go with you? Forget it, we're still alive and well, and if we don't want to die, we can hold on. You go first, and if there's a chance, take us with you."
Lu Yuan nodded slightly, then found a suitable iron rod. After confirming its hardness, he tied a safety rope to it and secured it to his waist.
Then he kicked the window open, stood on the window, held the rope in his hand, took a deep breath, and looked down at the building more than 100 meters below.
"Then I'll be going now."
Before anyone could even say goodbye, Lu Yuan leaped into the air.
His body slid straight toward the other building.
Swish swish swish!
The wind was blowing fiercely on my face.
Lu Yuan felt a surge of tension. Every time he reached a knot, he would use the momentum of his body to give a sharp jerk, then slide past the knot and continue down the road.
Lu Yuan quickly stopped in front of the building across the street. He carefully secured his body to the smooth surface and then used the portable suction cups he carried on his hands and feet to stick to the surface.
As he slowly climbed up to the window, he pulled the rope back and secured it to the window of the building opposite.
The soldiers next door all looked at Chen Luo with shocked expressions.
They couldn't believe that such a thin rope could actually support the body of an adult weighing nearly 200 pounds. How did he manage to reach such a height? How did he manage to do that with that rope? Wasn't he afraid of dying?
Everyone was filled with doubt. They watched as Lu Yuan waved to them from afar, and could only wave back blankly.
Lu Yuan entered the room and began searching it. It was still an office building.
Both buildings are office buildings, with a total height of about thirty stories.
It looks towering above his building, much taller than a normal residential building, with a height of nearly 200 meters for just over 30 meters.
Lu Yuan didn't go upstairs but went straight downstairs, as going downstairs was much more comfortable than going upstairs.
He practically leaped over the entire flight of stairs and continued running down.
After running for nearly ten minutes, he finally arrived at the first floor.
He didn't encounter a single insect along the way. Lu Yuan waited quietly, and after a while, he arrived at the first floor and, after confirming that there was no danger, finally ran out.
A swarm of insects appeared in the building opposite this one; the insects were densely packed together.
Lu Yuan dared not open the door, as the sound of opening it might attract the other party's insects.
He was just there to make sure there were no bugs, and he felt much more at ease after confirming there weren't.
I searched through the building for many things, such as a map of the entire park and some data stored on computers.
These are all things he needs to take with him. Although the military has already copied the data from their headquarters, he still needs to take the data of some ordinary employees in these military regions.
Lu Yuan was entirely within his own dimensional space. In order to save time, he tried to go to other places as much as possible. Finally, he arrived at what looked like a general manager's office, pushed open the door and went in. He found that the mainframe computer in the office had disappeared.
Lu Yuan searched the room for a while but found nothing.
At that moment, Captain Liu's voice came through the walkie-talkie on his shoulder.
"Brother, you didn't run away, did you?"
Captain Liu's voice carried a hint of worry and anger.
Upon hearing this, Lu Yuan chuckled softly: "Don't worry, I didn't leave. I'm just looking for something. I plan to secure the rope to that even farther place, and we'll use this rope to get here little by little!"
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this; it turned out that Lu Yuan was looking for materials, and they had misunderstood him.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, we thought you were really going to abandon us when we heard you ran away. It's good that you're alright. We won't go over there now. When can you get it ready?"
"It should be ready soon. Please wait a moment. I've found some materials. Let's see if they can withstand our weight. Please wait for me!"
After hanging up the call, Lu Yuan quickly began searching the room.
To prevent insect infestations, Lu Yuan used a biological detection device to inspect the entire room.
Anything appears inside the house.
To his surprise, when he took out the instrument, a series of beeping sounds suddenly came from it.
Lu Yuan immediately became alert. When he leaned the object against the wall, he realized that the wall was actually hollow, and the sound was coming from there.
He didn't even notice where the wall switch was.
After searching for a long time, he finally found a power strip in the wall, which was actually a hidden button.
Lu Yuan pried open the switchboard, revealing the buttons inside, then placed his unlocking device on top. After some adjustments, he successfully cracked the door lock.
Once the puzzle was solved, the door in front of us opened.
Inside, there was a small space containing a laboratory.
Inside the laboratory, there was something that looked like an operating table, covered with a glass dome.
The glass dome wasn't the sticky, gooey kind you find in labs; it seemed like the place hadn't been destroyed yet.
Lu Yuan's heart stirred, and he carefully examined the object inside the glass case. It resembled a giant worm, approximately one meter long, thirty centimeters wide, and about thirty centimeters high.
After observing carefully, Lu Yuan's son discovered that although the creature inside was alive, it seemed to be in a dormant period.
