Chapter 1381 The Discovery of Korean

Han Wen stared at the content on the computer screen, lost in thought.

She pondered for a moment, assuming that these were large numbers of soldiers dispatched from other regions. Sure enough, when she checked on the computer, she discovered that these people were codenamed as being from the survivor base.

She quickly grabbed her things and found Lu Yuan, then pointed to what she was holding: "Lu Yuan, I just discovered something very strange, these people have arrived!"

"What? The military has already arrived." Lu Yuan was immediately taken aback: "When did the Northern Border military become so efficient? Have they realized something?"

Han Wen shook his head: "I'm not too sure about that either. I don't know much about the situation in the North. Although I'm willing to investigate, they're keeping it very secret."

In my opinion, they've probably been brought to power by people from another region, so when new officials take office, they always choose to do something, and I reckon their best location is probably the Earthlings' base!

Lu Yuan nodded slightly. Of course he knew that once a regime stepped down, the people of the new regime would have to make all sorts of promises to the public before taking office.

He ensures that everyone will receive certain benefits under his control, and everyone votes to elect their preferred ruler.

"Check if they've arrived yet. If possible, it would be best to contact them and ask for their help. If not, we'll figure something out ourselves!"

Han Wen nodded slightly, then began to decipher the communication information.

The insects outside were still swarming around the area in dense numbers.

Lu Yuan intended to open the door and then escape with everyone.

However, there were quite a few of them, and if these insects targeted them, they might not be able to find a safer place again. Therefore, he dared not make any rash moves and could only continue to guard this place.

The best course of action right now is to stay here and wait for an opportunity.

After waiting for about half an hour, we finally received some news from the Korean side.

However, it wasn't good news. A look of surprise appeared on her face as she put on her headphones and listened carefully to the sound coming through the headset.

The voice wasn't particularly clear, but it was still discernible that it belonged to a very rough-voiced man.

"It seems that some people from our territory have come to search for the secrets inside. Everyone be careful. If you spot them, kill them on sight. Leave no survivors. The secrets inside must not be known to anyone, otherwise it will cause a huge riot in the city. Do you all understand?"

Then came a few scattered responses from the crowd.

Han Wen's expression changed drastically after hearing this. She did not tell Lu Yuan the news immediately, but continued to listen.

She wanted to see what else the other person would say.

The other party then reported their address and the purpose of their trip.

Finally, Han Wen overheard a very important piece of information.

These people actually planned to bring out the largest female insect, which was currently located in an underground parking lot in the central district.

Upon receiving this news, Han Wen immediately contacted Lu Yuan and told him the information.

Family members gathered around, and upon hearing the news, everyone's face showed a look of shock.

"What? These people are planning to take the queen insect away? What are they trying to do? Do they intend to control the queen insect themselves? Don't they know they're playing with fire?"

Han Wen shook his head slightly: "I can't guess that, but I'm sure of one thing: these people definitely don't have good intentions. They intend to hold onto this regime and don't plan to hand it over!"

Lu Yuan nodded gently, pinched his chin, and pondered for a long time.

He held the binoculars and kept looking outside.

The insects are still swarming around the area, piled up in dense swarms. If there is any movement, these insects will swarm and attack immediately, regardless of whether you are a good person or a bad person.

"What should we do? Should we run away now or continue to hide?"

Xiao Shan was a little worried. She gently pinched Lu Yuan's shoulder and asked in a low voice.

"Let's assess the situation first. Our only advantage right now is that these people haven't discovered our whereabouts yet, so we seem to be safe for now!"

Everyone nodded, and after waiting for a long time, a burst of intense gunfire suddenly rang out in the distance.

All attention was focused on that spot when Wang Mingming, standing at the very top of an observation post, exclaimed, "Here! You can see the firing positions are held by the military! They've already engaged the insects in combat!"

Upon hearing his words, everyone's faces showed a look of shock.

So everyone looked towards the top and gazed into the distance.

Through the gaps between the buildings, dozens of soldiers in various camouflage uniforms could be seen, manually firing their guns at a dense swarm of insects in the distance.

The surrounding area was engulfed in flames, resembling a hellish scene. Insects nearby, drawn by the commotion, were drawn to the area.

With a whoosh, the insects scurried away, and Lu Yuan seized this golden opportunity.

"Let's go. With them covering for us, we'll head to the underground parking lot now. We must get there before them and destroy that giant bug!"

Everyone nodded in agreement. If they could destroy this giant worm, the number of subsequent worms would decrease dramatically. Disaster was imminent, and they could no longer wait.

So everyone carried their things, which they had packed in advance, and then ran off the moment Lu Yuan opened the door.

On the way here, Lu Yuan had already scouted out the route, and everyone knew which way to get to the central underground parking lot.

So they ran as fast as they could, familiar with the route. They didn't dare use any vehicles; those things were too noisy. They relied on their own two legs to run, so they could always be aware of the movement on either side.

The noise is so small that it won't attract the attention of insects; it just takes a lot of energy.

But there was nothing they could do; they couldn't bring their vehicles in. And it was fortunate that they didn't bring any vehicles, which is why the military personnel couldn't discover their secret.
