About a few hours later, some light appeared in the center of the probe.
Lu Yuan quickly adjusted the camera's position and, sure enough, saw a series of convoys on the ground in the distance, heading towards the banana plantation.
"They're here!"
Those troops in the distance slowly drove in, one by one.
The other camera was positioned to monitor the activity of the apes and the banana plantation.
The apes, who were resting, were startled awake by a rumbling sound coming from the ground in the distance.
These apes yelled and jumped around like monkeys.
One of the larger apes was pounding its chest and gesturing wildly.
After he finished speaking, the apes below all picked up their weapons and rushed toward the source of the sound.
When he saw the apes about to rush forward, Lu Yuan immediately realized an ominous premonition.
"It's over. These apes are probably going to clash with the military. The military isn't very good at dealing with mutations, but they should be able to handle these apes without much trouble."
However, at this point, Lu Yuan and the others were no longer able to help, and rushing over to rescue the apes would be a very unwise choice.
Because they can only keep an eye on the movements observed by the camera.
Meanwhile, in the army, several soldiers on observation duty spotted some heat sources ahead.
"Report to the commander-in-chief, we have discovered a heat source 500 meters ahead, which should indicate the presence of wild animals. Please keep a close watch."
The commander, sitting in the middle vehicle, wore a solemn expression. He only breathed a sigh of relief after receiving the message from the observer.
"Oh, they're just a group of apes. They're not very big, so we should be able to deal with them easily. Notify the people at the front that if they encounter any resistance, they should be shot dead immediately."
The team members in front nodded immediately, then quickened their pace and soon encountered the apes.
The lead ape was very tall and extremely robust. He carried a huge stone axe and stood at the very end of the banana plantation, shouting at the convoy in the distance.
The soldiers in the convoy burst into laughter when they saw the ape-like creatures.
"Oh dear, these must be the most defenseless beasts we've ever encountered. Why don't we take care of them first?"
"Hehe, Team One is ready. Let's see who can take down the most apes."
"No problem, let's compete. They're just some monkeys, aren't they? They're so small, they're no match for us."
Just as things were about to go wrong ahead, he informed the commander behind him about the situation. Upon receiving the report, the commander immediately ordered his troops to open fire.
The apes in the distance, each a martial arts master, tried to disperse the crowd, but to their surprise, these uninvited guests opened fire and launched an attack.
Da da da!
The bullets from the vehicle-mounted machine gun instantly produced a tremendous noise that echoed throughout the entire forest.
Then a barrage of bullets rained down through the forest. The giant banana trees in the distance were riddled with holes by the bullets, and the leading apes were killed before they could even react.
The poor, largest ape leader was killed by a hail of bullets before he could even react.
In less than 10 minutes, all the apes in the distance had been killed, and the corpses scattered all over the ground looked terrible.
The military personnel wore smug expressions as they reported their achievements before receiving orders to continue advancing.
Lu Yuan and the others wore solemn expressions.
"These people are too ruthless. It's definitely not a good idea to act so ruthlessly in this place. If we go any further, we might attract more wild animals. This area is originally a habitat for apes. It must be a huge group that was able to plant these rubber plantations. They've gotten themselves into trouble."
Lu Yuan nodded slightly, looking at the cruel scenes on the screen, and sighed with emotion.
"Keep watching. Let me know if there's any news. If the military can pull this off, we might have to benefit from their efforts and follow them."
After saying that, Lu Yuan stood up, walked to a corner, spread out a blanket, and lay down on the ground to rest.
Meanwhile, the military personnel continued marching forward with joyful expressions; they had never encountered such a situation before.
"This is amazing! We came right through without any obstacles. It seems like our chance to find dinosaur eggs has finally arrived."
"After fighting our way here, I reckon we should be able to clear the entire road and build a military passage, so our military vehicles can go directly there."
"What are you thinking? This road is in the forest, there are bound to be large wild beasts that will block the way for Tang Huai. Let alone building a road, we can only say that we are lucky to have come here safely every time."
The soldiers walked and talked, oblivious to the dangers that were slowly creeping up on them.
The injured apes were dragged by their companions to a large camp in the distance.
This camp covers an area of several square kilometers and is home to a large number of apes. If Lu Yuan were to come here, he would definitely be shocked by what he sees.
