"Let's go back to the team first, there's danger."
Almost instinctively, the two said the same thing at the same time, and then ran towards their respective convoys.
However, just then, a piercing scream suddenly came from afar, shattering the tranquility of the night.
Then, a team member shouted loudly.
"An ape-like creature launched a sneak attack."
No sooner had he finished speaking than the sharp sounds of machine guns and various other firearms came from afar.
Da da da!
rattttt!
The glowing lights of various weapons filled the forest, toes forming a dense net, screams echoed continuously, and more dark figures fell to the ground.
But these shadowy figures seemed fearless, relentlessly lunging towards them.
The captains of Team One and Team Two gave orders while sending messages to headquarters.
When the commander at headquarters heard that an ape attack had occurred at the front, a serious expression immediately appeared on his face.
"Damn it, we've run into this situation. Immediately send reinforcements to bring back Team One and Team Two. Remember, you absolutely must get them back, at all costs."
The person who lost weight immediately arranged for reinforcements to rush over to the rescue. The two sides fought back and forth, and the forest instantly became lively.
Meanwhile, inside the cave, Lu Yuan and his group were awakened by the sounds of gunfire from the police station outside.
"Damn it, the two sides have exchanged fire."
Zhou Zhong rushed over from outside, his face covered in sweat, clearly having just completed a long journey.
Lu Yuan nodded slightly. "How many kinds of apes are there?"
"I made a rough estimate, and there must be at least tens of thousands of them. They are so numerous that it's hard to see how many there are, but it's certain that there are quite a few of these apes."
Hearing this, Lu Yuan felt a chill run down his spine.
"Damn it, just what I feared most has come to pass. These incompetent teammates have completely ruined our plans."
Under no circumstances could Lu Yuan make plans as soon as possible. After all, there were simply too many apes, and they were incredibly powerful. What made them even more formidable than wild beasts was their intelligence. They would use their brains to think and devise strategies to deal with their enemies. Therefore, Lu Yuan really didn't dare to fight them head-on. If things went wrong, he might be overwhelmed by these massive numbers of apes. It had been truly difficult for his family to survive until now.
"Tell everyone to pack their things, and let's get out of here quickly, under the cover of night."
So the family members started packing their things, and after they finished packing quickly, Lu Yuan immediately led them back the way they came.
Everyone kept running at a steady pace. They were worried that if these apes were to retaliate, they might kill all the humans in the entire area.
Lu Yuan had no intention of paying the price for the military's stupid actions.
After running like this for about half an hour, everyone was exhausted and panting.
Lu Yuan looked down at the location on the locator.
"Almost there, speed up! We're less than 5 kilometers from the exit. Everyone, let's push harder and get out of here as soon as possible. Otherwise, if we get trapped at the entrance of this alley, none of us might be able to escape."
Everyone nodded in agreement. After a short rest, they immediately resumed their work. Suddenly, Lu Yuan sensed several dark figures darting about in the woods ahead, and he quickly stopped.
"Wait a minute, something's not right up ahead."
Upon hearing Lu Yuan's words, the family members immediately stopped in their tracks and quickly took out various devices to begin observing.
When they took out their night vision binoculars, they were surprised to see a dense swarm of apes appearing in the forest ahead.
When Lu Yuan first saw these apes, his heart sank.
"Damn it, we're too late. They've already sealed off this place."
Everyone started to panic.
"What should we do? Should we just charge straight in? There are probably only a few hundred apes ahead."
"It's too dangerous to rush straight in. Although those cemeteries aren't as powerful as second-order variable factors, they still use tools."
"That's right. I saw their archery skills before. I don't know how good they were, but they were definitely much better than ours."
"What can we do? We can't escape now, and we can't just stay here."
Hearing the commotion, Lu Yuan frowned. He pondered for a moment and glanced in the distance.
"I'll go and try it out first. If these apes attack us directly, they'll just run away."
The family members nodded in agreement, and Lu Yuan led everyone to run towards the exit.
The exit is actually a beach, and beyond that beach lies a huge lake.
Lu Yuan and his group came from this pot, and the mouth of the valley on this beach is their only way to the exit.
Now that he's trapped here, Lu Yuan can only try to get through by taking his family to see if they can get through from the front.
If these apes don't attack them but instead target the military, then they might be saved.
However, Lu Yuan had already prepared for the worst: that Hunter Yuan would mistake them for military personnel and kill them along with them. Upon arriving at the location, even before they got close, Lu Yuan sensed a threat.
