Chapter 1491 Undercurrents

Zhao Qing was locked up in prison with a blank expression on his face.

Standing in the prison, he couldn't stop thinking about the future of the Zhao family.

Suddenly, a noise came from the next room. He rushed over and peered into the prison cell. There he saw a man who had been beaten black and blue and was thrown into the prison like a dead dog.

"Third Uncle, is that you, Third Uncle?"

Through the dim light, Zhao Qing could make out the general outline of the man next door, and she felt extremely anxious.

He pounded on the cage and shouted desperately, but the man next door never responded.

He convulsed a few times before losing consciousness.

Then several more people were roughly dragged into prison by those Renren videos.

They were thrown to the ground with a thud, one after another.

At this moment, Zhao Shun, Zhao Qing's cousin and the eldest son of his uncle's family, was also summoned to that magnificent hall.

You should know me, right?

Sean sat in the center of the hall, slowly sipping a glass of red wine.

Zhao Shun, who was lying on the ground, was trembling and convulsing. He had just witnessed his family being brutally beaten and was already terrified by the scene.

Zhao Shun nodded vigorously.

"Alright, since you know them, I won't waste my breath on you. I have a request: the Zhao family is still useful to us, so the matter of succeeding Zhao Qing will be entrusted to you. I need you to do some things for me."

Zhao Shun looked up at Sean's expression and saw a hint of indifference and ruthlessness in the other's eyes.

He knew that if he shook his head or said no, the other party would definitely destroy him.

Thinking of this, he nodded without hesitation. In order to survive and save the fraudsters, he chose to compromise.

But deep down he still missed his family and worried that his family and his people might be coerced in the same way.

At that moment, the sound of Zhao Qing roaring in the meeting room suddenly appeared in his mind.

Yes, Zhao Qing is right. These apes are a bunch of thugs. They are even worse than the previous humans. These alien species are about to take over the entire Earth and occupy the planet they depend on for survival.

Zhao Qing is right. Although Lu Yuan didn't give them anything, he was building a future reserve plan for all of humanity.

He wants to overthrow the tyranny of these apes; they want to restore the Earth to its former state, so they must unite.

As the only remaining force resisting the apes in the refuge, the Zhao family had to be preserved. Therefore, burdened by national and personal grievances and the mission of the human race, he gritted his teeth and chose to compromise.

"Very good, that's exactly the kind of honest and obedient person I need. Here's a document; take it back and see what to do. I'll have someone talk to you about it later!"

Then Sean waved his hand, and two apes carried him out of the hall.

Led by two ape soldiers, he arrived at a small, dark room with only a dim light.

He flipped through the notebook in his hand, page by page, which contained various clauses, each of which they were required to abide by.

On the apes' side, there were no rules at all. The apes on the half-blue planet's side still hadn't learned how to trade fairly; they only knew how to take and give orders.

After reading the last page of this thick stack of papers, I realized that it contained records of the apes' plans and attempts to destroy their human world.

Of course, there is no specific implementation plan, only things they need to follow. If they really follow their methods, humans will become tools for apes to expand the world in the future.

Once apes take control of the world, they will be discarded like trash.

A chill ran through Zhao Shun, who trembled all over as he racked his brains for a way to rescue his family and escape this hellish place to join forces with Lu Yuan and the others.

Just then, the door suddenly opened and a beam of strong light shone in, making him feel somewhat uncomfortable.

A man dressed in a black robe walked in from outside. He had a faint smile on his face and seemed aloof. He looked as if he had been thrown out of a grave, and his whole body was devoid of color.

"Hello, you can call me Thor!"

Zhao Shun had no interest in this man named Thor.

He just wanted to leave as soon as possible; as for the cooperation, he really didn't want to accept it.

But there was nothing he could do; he was now the only one in the entire Zhao family who could speak.

All the members of their tribe held their lives in their own hands.

What are you doing here? Is there something you need?

Saul pulled out the chair opposite him, then lay down comfortably, draped one arm over the back of the chair, and with the other hand took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, lit one, took a light puff, and then spoke softly.

"I'm from the Zhao family, sent to work with you in management, so I feel there are some things I need to warn you about first!"

Zhao Shun glanced at the other party and sneered, "Fine, you decide. Anyway, I'm like a puppet now, so it's up to you to say and do what you want!"

Thor chuckled, flicked his cigarette ash, and nodded with great satisfaction: "Your ideological awareness is much higher than your cousin's."
