Gunfire erupted. Countless apes fell in pools of blood.
Wells, who was in charge of the overall command, had a solemn expression on his face and was hurriedly issuing various orders.
However, his brother still died in the attack. In the sudden attack, he grabbed the phone and screamed into it.
"Under attack! Under attack! Requesting backup!"
The phone kept ringing with a busy signal; the robot had already blocked the signal when it arrived.
When his pleas went unanswered, he finally made a simple decision.
"Evacuation order! Everyone, evacuate! Abandon this camp!"
Wells' decision arguably saved everyone in their entire camp.
Inside the ape palace.
After having a delicious breakfast as usual, Sean prepared to go to his office to review the report that had been sent over the previous night.
As soon as I left the restaurant, I saw officials from the War Department rushing in with anxious expressions on their faces.
"Your Highness! Something terrible has happened!"
Seeing the official's demeanor, Sean's intuition told him something was amiss.
"What's wrong?"
"Something...something terrible has happened!"
"What's wrong? Stop stammering and just tell me!" Sean couldn't help but yell.
"Our camp has been attacked by Lu Yuan's robot army!"
"What? They dare to attack us? Are you sure you're not mistaken? Are you sure it's our team?"
"Yes! Absolutely! This is a message that Wells just sent!"
Sean grabbed the other person's tablet and saw the words "call for help" on the screen.
Bang!
Sean kicked the other man in the chest.
"You're an idiot! We've been under attack for three hours already! Why are you only telling me now? And why haven't you sent any reinforcements yet? What have you all been doing?"
Then, Sean, enraged, kicked the other man several times.
The war department officials looked utterly dejected.
"Your Highness, it's really not that we didn't want to report it, it's just... it's the people in the harem who said that you..."
At this point, Sean sighed in frustration, "Damn it, are all these people idiots? Don't they know what's important and what's urgent?"
After saying that, he turned to leave, but then, as if remembering something, he turned back and yelled at the other person.
"Why the hell aren't you going to send reinforcements right now!"
"Yes, Your Highness! Please give me the signed reinforcement order manual! Otherwise, I won't be able to mobilize the troops!"
Sean went completely mad, letting out a hysterical roar at the other person before immediately returning to his office to issue the orders that needed to be signed.
Sitting in his office, Sean ran his fingers through his meticulously manicured hair, pondering the improvement suggestions that Su Qiang and the military and political personnel had previously put forward.
"Could it be... that centralized power is truly unworkable?"
Thinking of this, Sean recalled the struggles for royal power that occurred in ancient Chinese civilization due to the lack of centralized rule.
Then, Sean became even more determined in his decision.
"No, how can I just watch my empire, which I've built up with so much effort, fall into the hands of others? Yes, I can't give it up! Absolutely not! I'll take a loss if I have to! In short, with Lu Yuan and his gang's abilities, they can't possibly put any pressure on me!"
So Sean continued to look through yesterday's reports.
Although he was known for his formidable mental strength, he had stayed up late last night discussing the matter of the crown prince, resulting in a sleepless night. Now, he felt a dull, foggy feeling in his head.
So he ordered the imperial chef to prepare some invigorating soup for him.
On Lu Yuan's side, because of the surprise attack, the enemy's resistance was quickly dismantled.
Then, Lu Yuan and his team even began cleaning up the battlefield.
Many of the things here are newly developed, and since not many people have had contact with apes, they don't quite understand most of them.
So, in order to understand these things, Lu Yuan specifically found some of the apes that had not been killed and asked them to explain how to use these things.
When Lu Yuan saw that the other person had tied something that looked like leg guards around their lower back, he was taken aback.
"This thing is designed to help us get up quickly when we fall, and also to use our flexibility to escape to safety as quickly as possible!"
After saying that, the other party began to demonstrate how to use the device.
Seeing the other person use this thing skillfully, Lu Yuan exchanged glances with the others and finally understood.
"Wow, no wonder we couldn't understand how these things were used. They were originally for apes!"
Then, looking at the other things, Lu Yuan felt he couldn't waste any more time here.
"Alright! Everyone, hurry up and clean up the battlefield. We still have more tasks to do! By the way! Where did those guys hide the prison? Have you found it?"
The voices of Kuroko and his group came through the walkie-talkie.
"They built an underground prison here, and it's designed to be extremely dangerous. You have to go very deep underground to open it, and you can't just forcibly demolish it, because that would cause water to seep in!"
Hearing Hei Zi's voice, Lu Yuan turned to Da Huang and asked, "Have you finished scanning the prison's system?"
