In the magnificent hall of the apes, Sean still did not attend court.
This was his daily routine, but recently, after Lu Yuan eliminated all the strongholds, Sean had not attended court anymore.
His subordinates didn't know what had happened either. They asked the people at the Imperial Hospital, but they were also unaware of the situation.
Everyone looked at each other in bewilderment. When the court session ended and Sean still hadn't arrived, they bowed and left the hall.
Meanwhile, in a grand hall within the inner palace, Sean lay on a comfortable bed, his face flushed. A clean white handkerchief covered his forehead, and several maids surrounded him with concern.
"How is His Highness? Is he alright? Has his fever subsided?"
A female ape-like figure walked in. She was tall and had dignified features. She had shed her ape-like appearance, but her limbs were still slightly long.
When the maids saw the other party arrive, they quickly bowed and greeted him.
"Your Majesty, His Highness has not yet recovered. His fever is still quite high. Perhaps we should summon the Imperial Hospital?"
"Yes, if the Queen continues like this, we are really worried that something might happen to His Highness, which would be a real problem. His health is related to the safety of our entire ape race!"
"Your Majesty, please persuade His Highness. If he continues like this, his health will collapse sooner or later. We are very worried about him. This can't go on!"
The ape-like woman came to Sean, knelt down, gently leaned over him, and pinched his cheek. Two crystal tears slid down her cheek.
"Your Highness, please wake up! We need you, the people need you! You can't keep sleeping like this, you have so much to do!"
The maidservant beside him wisely retreated outside the door.
Sean still showed no signs of recovery, and the woman stayed by his side for the entire afternoon.
As evening approached, a maid brought over some ice, a cool towel, and some simple soup before leaving.
The Empress continued to wait before her.
She didn't know how long she had been waiting, but suddenly she felt the hand she was holding flick twice.
A look of joy appeared on the Queen's face. She hurriedly stepped forward, took Sean's cane, and called out softly.
"Your Highness, how are you? Are you feeling any better? I'll have someone from the Imperial Hospital come over!"
After saying this, the Queen got up to call for help, but Sean on the bed grabbed her and pulled her back.
"No... call the hospital staff. Tell them to stay far away from me. I don't want anyone to believe I can pull through this on my own!"
Upon hearing Sean's words, the Queen turned to look at him, and tears instantly welled up in her eyes.
She buried her face in his chest and began to cry. Sean gently stroked her hair, a look of heartache on his face.
"Your Highness, why are you doing this to yourself? Why are you making things so difficult for yourself? Your health is more important. You should take good care of yourself as soon as possible. There are still many things waiting for you to do."
I know you hate Lu Yuan, but how can you continue to fight him if you don't have a healthy body? Listen to me, go to the hospital for a checkup.
We'll think of a solution after you recover. If you're tired, take a break for a while. I'll stay with you; I'm with you every day. Don't forget we have a child!
Sean retreated weakly, his face still bearing that unquestionable tone as he spoke.
"You know perfectly well what kind of people are down there. These good-for-nothings can't do anything but cause me trouble."
"There's not a single person in the court who can share my burdens. I get so angry just looking at them. How am I supposed to face them? Alright, that's enough. This matter is settled. We'll discuss it again after I've recovered. Oh, and could you please get me a new towel?"
After hearing this, the Queen showed a pained expression. Finally, she nodded, then got up and took a towel out of the ice water, wrung it out, and put it on Sean's head.
Then he found some mild sugar water and fed it to the other person in small sips, telling them about some things that had happened recently.
Sean listened with a blank expression, but his heart was in turmoil.
He hadn't expected Lu Yuan's camp to develop so quickly. It now had several complete industrial zones of its own, and a new batch of robots had even been created.
If things continue like this, he may no longer be able to fight back against the other side.
Lu Yuan had already left them far behind. If he were to encounter Lu Yuan again now, he probably wouldn't even have a chance to fight back.
After listening for a while, Sean couldn't listen anymore.
He turned his head and said to the Empress with some weariness.
"Alright, you can go now. I'll rest for a while. Don't worry about tonight. I'll prepare some breakfast tomorrow morning and let them know. I need to go to Cangqiong Company in a few days and ask them to help me book my itinerary."
The Empress sensed the dissatisfaction in the other party's tone, but said nothing. She simply nodded slightly, stood up, and turned to leave the hall.
Sean sighed softly at this moment, turning to look at the Queen's back, his face filled with frustration.
Three days later, Sean's fever finally broke, and he boarded a plane, exhausted, and arrived at the headquarters of Sky Corporation.
