Chapter 1513 Infiltrating the Incubation Center

Because of the upcoming attack on Lu Yuan's camp, the laboratory's incubator is now operating 24/7 in three shifts.

As it was nearing the end of the workday, Tan Ke glanced down at the time on his wrist, then turned to look at his assistant standing beside him. Their eyes met briefly, and they nodded slightly in acknowledgment.

Then, Tan Ke addressed the other party as usual.

"Keep an eye on the incubator in the lab for a while. There can't be any breaks there. Prepare a handover report, and I'll pass it on to the next shift later! Remember, make sure to mark everything carefully!"

The other person nodded slightly, then took the notebook and the two parted ways, walking in opposite directions at the fork in the corridor.

The deputy was assigned to the shift handover duties. His role was to cover Tan Ke and delay the handover process for the others.

Tan Ke, on the other hand, headed to another very important location, because the next question was whether Guan Luyuan and his group could enter safely and whether it would trigger an alarm.

Therefore, this mission is extremely crucial. If anything goes wrong, Tan Ke could be exposed instantly. He would then face endless torture, and Lu Yuan and his team's plan would fail, possibly even triggering an earlier-than-expected war.

Tan Ke was extremely nervous at the moment. He tried his best to remain calm and showed his signature smile as he passed by each colleague. They nodded to each other but did not interact much.

Tan Ke tried to make his steps as light and fast as possible so that he could reach the control room ahead of time. He was now the highest-ranking person in the entire laboratory besides the experimenters, so he had control over the power supply.

Of course, his control was only limited to the power control department. Because many laboratory departments sometimes needed to be restarted due to current overload or other faults, and it was during the restart process that Lu Yuan and his team were able to enter.

He walked into the control room, where he saw several people chatting and laughing. After all, it was almost time for shift change, and this was their happiest time, a chance to relax and have a smoke.

There was a knock on the door. An employee sitting in a chair turned his head and looked out the window. When he saw Tan Ke standing there, his expression instantly turned somewhat displeased.

"Damn, why is he here!"

Several colleagues nearby glanced at the door after hearing his words, and their faces immediately showed displeasure.

What they hate most is when people from the lab come to cause trouble during their break time, though not for the purpose of causing trouble.

However, it does add a little more work for them, not really cause them trouble, since they have to obey the lab's requirements.

When Tan Ke came in, one of the workers looked at him casually and asked.

"Is there anything I can help you with, Manager Tan?"

After glancing around the room, Tan Ke gently handed over the notebook he was holding.

"I have a lot of time these next couple of days, so I'd appreciate it if you could turn off all the power supplies on these parts. I'll let you know when to restart them later!"

The other party nodded slightly without thinking much of it. After taking the notebook, he discovered that there were more than a dozen places that needed to be de-energized. The other party immediately became furious.

He threw the notebook on the table and looked at Tan Ke with a hint of displeasure on his face.

"Manager Tan, do you know what you mean? Are you deliberately picking a fight? We just had a short rest, and you've already assigned us so many tasks. Are you targeting us specifically?"

Upon hearing this, the people nearby immediately became angry and walked over. Looking at the many tasks on the table, they all showed unhappy expressions.

Although it's just moving and opening a switch, the maintenance process is extremely complicated, requiring at least two people to complete each step.

Tan Ke has more than a dozen points to complete this time, which means that none of them will be able to have fun for the next hour or two.

Seeing their unhappy expressions, Tan Ke did indeed show his professional fake smile and said softly.

"I'm sorry, this isn't something I can decide. I'm just following orders from my superiors. If you don't want to do it, you can call him!"

The lead electrician shook his head in displeasure.

"Alright, alright, that's enough. Let's go, brothers, let's get to work. Who told us to be slaves to them, we have no power at all!"

After saying that, the group ignored Tan Kefenfen, went to the tool room, picked up their tools, and began their work for the night.

After watching the group leave, Tan Ke's eyes darted around as he secretly glanced at the surveillance camera above his head.

He pretended to go to the front to retrieve his booklet, but his eyes were secretly glancing at another booklet on the table.

The booklet lists the locations of some control circuits, so what he needs to find is the access control system at the entrance and exit. As long as he turns off the power to that access control system, Lu Yuan and the others can easily enter.

He is a biologist, but this time he has gone beyond his own work scope. He is not an electrician, so he doesn't know much about this area.
