Chapter 1543 Luna's Methods

Lu Yuan didn't go back with Luna, but got out of the car at the bar.

After returning home, Luna drove straight to Beers.

Beers won't be going home at this time, especially after his emotional setbacks. There are still quite a few people pursuing Luna, but his abilities aren't exactly top-notch.

Many people like Luna, even though she is not a very famous singer. She is more likely to use her alluring figure to seduce middle-aged men.

Therefore, most of his fans are middle-aged men, and they hold high positions.

This has resulted in Beers having quite a few competitors, especially since Beers is currently facing a family crisis. The conflict between him and his wife is irreconcilable, and they are currently in the process of filing for divorce.

He didn't want to expose his relationship with Luna, because if he did, he might be forced to leave the house with nothing.

In a more serious scenario, it could even jeopardize his career. Beers is a smart man, and he will be more cautious in choosing the future over women and career.

Beers is currently in his rented apartment. He and his wife are practically living separately now, and he only goes home occasionally to pick up some things.

He doesn't like being with his wife because it always causes all sorts of conflicts. He prefers to live alone in this place, a place his wife knows about.

Luna parked the car downstairs at the rented apartment and glanced up at the lights on the second floor, wondering if he could sense that Beers probably didn't have any ideas right now.

He's probably lying quietly on the sofa or bed, reflecting on his actions tonight, and he'll probably call me soon.

Sure enough, Luna hadn't even gotten out of the car when the phone rang. Beers' voice was hoarse, and it sounded so heartbreaking.

"Luna, I've been pursuing you for so long, don't you know how I feel? What you did today has truly broken my heart!"

Luna smiled slightly. This old man's tricks seemed to be limited to these two methods when dealing with young girls.

If it weren't for his status, Luna probably wouldn't have dated him for so long, but today Luna has come with a mission.

Luna remained silent, listening as Beers poured out his heart, even breaking down in tears at times.

Luna showed no reaction, sitting comfortably in the car, gently touching the steering wheel and various instruments with her hands, her face showing her love for the car.

Beers' voice suddenly rose a few notches again.

"Luna, are you listening? I've been talking for so long and you haven't answered. Are you...?"

Before he could finish speaking, Luna's voice came through.

“Bears, of course I understand your feelings, and you’ve done so much. I’m a normal girl, of course I know that. But you know, there are many incompatibilities between us: our status, our age, our families, everything is incompatible. So why are you still so eager to pursue me?”

If someone else had said that, they probably would have given up immediately, but Luna still had a playful smile on her lips. This was the very skill that allowed her to have Beers completely under her thumb.

She understood this old man too well; she understood his feelings for her too well. This old man was now single-mindedly focused on resolving his family issues and then taking her to live a happy life together. But Luna had no such intentions.

But now she has a new idea. She wants this car. She likes this car. It's a dream of hers, so it has to come true.

But I like you, I really like you!

Beers' voice rose several octaves, becoming almost hysterical.

Luna smiled slightly, picked up her phone, and glanced at the light coming through the window above her.

"Come on, what time is it? Does liking someone mean you have to be together?"

Luna was still keeping him in suspense; she knew he would never give up.

Especially when there's this gradual, ambiguous feeling of closeness and distance, it makes the other person feel a little uncomfortable.

"Are you really this heartless? Don't you consider my feelings at all? Do you know how much I've sacrificed for you all this time?"

Beers' voice grew louder and louder, almost a roar.

The lights in the surrounding tenants' houses were all turned on completely, but when they saw the lights in his house, they all suddenly turned them off.

Standing downstairs, Luna had a cigarette in her mouth. She looked up at the light above her and a slight smile appeared on her lips once again.

She felt that this was about enough; she had pushed the other person to the brink of collapse, and if things continued like this, something bad might happen.

So she threw the cigarette on the ground and gently stomped it out before speaking into the phone.

Are you home right now? Is it convenient for me to come upstairs?

Her voice had barely faded when she heard a frantic thud of footsteps coming from upstairs.

Then, Beals rushed out of the window and flung it open.

He glanced out the window and saw Luna standing outside a black car.

Luna just stood there in front of the car, watching him with a slightly amused smile. It was at this moment that Bills finally felt a sense of collapse.
