I hope that the mainland will be divided into five regions: east, south, west, north, and central.
Each of these five regions has its own characteristics. For example, the eastern region can be considered an industrial city, which has more than 90% of the heavy and light industrial areas in the entire continent.
This place is mostly populated by workers, and the air is filled with the smell of oil. Most of the coal, oil, and other materials transported from outside are concentrated here. This place covers a vast area and supports the entire population of the continent.
In the south, the air conditions are suitable, making it the economic granary of the entire region. Various pigs, cattle, sheep, poultry, livestock, and fish are raised here, and large areas of fields are cultivated. There are all kinds of fruits and vegetables here, so it is the granary of the entire continent.
The western region is more suitable for humanistic living. It boasts the most luxurious villa areas and natural green corridors. Here, villas are built one floor after another along the mountainside. This is a residential area for the wealthy.
The landscaping here is the best, with all sorts of magical and fairy-tale-like landscapes. Most of the usual tourist attractions are concentrated here, and you can even see many huge birds of prey. These are all privately bred animals, so it's fair to say that the wealth here is among the best in the entire region.
The remaining western area is the commercial district. Here you can buy everything, whether it's products from the industrial zone or the most advanced handmade items. As long as you have money, you can buy it.
Zhongzhou is an administrative region within them, holding all political, economic, and cultural power over the entire area.
So this continent is very strange, yet very harmonious. When people come here, they can remember the characteristics of every place on the continent just by listening to a tour guide's casual introduction.
Lu Yuan sat by the window, quietly watching the houses along the street. These houses were provided by the government to each survivor, whom they called the New Humans.
He was already thinking that the new starting point for the whole world would probably begin from this place.
Soon their car arrived at the port's dock, where they needed to undergo a check. Once their documents were complete and the check was passed, they would be able to leave and head to the Hope Continent.
This was their second time coming. The first time they were turned away, but this time Lu Yuan was confident that they would be able to get through safely.
So just as they were about to go in, two guards suddenly stopped them.
Lu Yuan frowned slightly and stepped forward to ask softly.
"We're here for an inspection, why can't we come in now? It's working hours!"
The two guards looked Lu Yuan up and down before pointing inside and saying...
"The inspectors are coming in. Please wait a moment before going in!"
Lu Yuan and the others exchanged glances, but did nothing, so they continued to wait at the door.
Time passed by, and after about an hour, the two guards still hadn't received any notification.
Lu Yuan was getting anxious and stepped forward again.
"What's going on? How long will the checkup take? There's still half an hour before you close! Even if you're busy, you have to let us go!"
The guards exchanged a glance and then burst into laughter.
"What's the rush? We're not in a rush, so why are you? Just wait here. If you're off work, wait until tomorrow!"
These words instantly enraged Zhou Tong, who was standing behind Lu Yuan.
Then, the other person stepped forward and grabbed the other person's collar.
"What the hell are you saying we've been waiting for so long? You said we'd wait until tomorrow, so we've just come for nothing!"
His action immediately alerted the two soldiers, and the other soldier drew a pistol from his waist and pointed it at Zhou Tong's head.
"Let go! I'll shoot you right now if you do!"
Zhou Tong couldn't wait to get to the island, but the other party told him that he couldn't go.
Anyone would be furious if this happened to them, but Lu Yuan knew that if he went against them at this time, he would probably lose his right again.
So Lu Yuan gently patted Zhou Tong on the shoulder.
"Alright, let him go first. Let's talk things out and not resort to violence yet. This matter must be resolved today!"
Zhou Tong released the other man's collar, his eyes filled with anger.
"You'd better give us an explanation today!"
One of the other people chuckled but didn't say anything more.
At this moment, Zhou Tong saw Lu Yuan give him a wink, and only then did he suppress his anger and want to see what the two of them were up to.
Lu Yuan stood there, having given up all hope that he would get approval and be able to leave today.
Just as the bell rang to signal the end of the workday, the two soldiers exchanged a smile and turned to leave. However, just as they were about to leave, Lu Yuan reached out and grabbed one of them.
"What do you mean? We haven't finished dealing with our business yet, and you're already leaving?"
The other party seemed displeased, glanced down at Lu Yuan's hand, and said coldly.
"You dare pull my clothes? You want to die? I'll make you let go right now!"
Lu Yuan smiled gently, a slight smile still on his face.
"I just want you to tell me what we should do next!"
"What should we do? Go back and wait!"
Lu Yuan, however, still wouldn't let go. He waved what he was holding and smiled at the other person.
