Chapter 1664 Breaking into the Mansion

Lu Yuan was stunned for a moment after hearing what Lao Zhou said.

"Damn it, what was bound to happen has finally happened! They must have discovered our little schemes, and they're probably going to start building up their own new power before leaving this place!"

Upon hearing Lu Yuan's words, Xiao Shan angrily threw her spoon forward.

"What kind of people are they? They don't even care about Earth anymore, yet they still send someone here to give orders. What the hell are they trying to do?!"

There was a hint of helplessness in Lu Yuan's eyes.

"These people just can't let go of the power they hold. They still have a sliver of hope that if we can really solve the disaster on Earth, they can return and continue their rule!"

Upon hearing Lu Yuan's analysis, Xiao Shan couldn't help but slap the table.

"Why should they? We worked ourselves to the bone to save the world, and they come and snatch away all the hard-won achievements we made. Why should they? We can't let them do that. I won't stand for it!"

Qiqi, who was standing to the side, was initially startled by Xiaoshan, but after she came to her senses, she fully supported her mother's decision.

Waving her little fists, with a trace of soup still on the corner of her mouth.

“I agree with Mom. We can’t let bad people steal our things. We saved this planet ourselves, so why should they do this to us!”

Seeing that the mother and daughter were on the same line, Lu Yuan smiled and gently comforted them.

"Don't worry, we won't just let them steal our achievements. If they want to support a puppet, that's fine, let them support him. In short, we'll slowly digest his power, or... teach him a lesson!"

Then Lu Yuan got up and walked out.

Zhou Tong walked in, panting, and stuffed the car keys in his pocket.

"Damn it, those military guys are scum. They just leave like that, leaving us with this mess. They even went so far as to find a leader for us. What gives them the right? My brothers and I aren't happy about it. What about you guys?"

Lu Yuan shrugged slightly.

"No one would willingly do this. Don't worry, if they're going to do this, we certainly can't just sit and wait to die. It's time to do something!"

Upon hearing Lu Yuan's words, Zhou Tong's face showed a hint of excitement, and he immediately pressed for an answer.

"What should we do? Tell me!"

"It's still early, let's grab something to eat first, then we'll go with him to the Third Fleet later and meet these guys!"

Zhou Tong immediately nodded and followed Lu Yuan into the restaurant.

Xiao Shan served Zhou Tong a bowl of rice, and the group ate and chatted.

At 2 p.m., Lu Yuan drove with Zhou Tong to the military base.

This is the naval base, which covers a large area and has very complete surrounding facilities.

As you walk inside, you can still faintly hear the soldiers shouting slogans and the sounds of their training.

After observing for a few days, Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong followed the main road to the seven-story building at the very front.

The building wasn't very tall, but it was very magnificent, surrounded by tall trees on both sides.

Then Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong submitted their identification documents and entered the building.

Given Lu Yuan's current military rank and status, entering the mainland is naturally not a problem.

Upon arriving at the building, Lu Yuan inquired at the front desk about the newly appointed captain of the Third Fleet, only to learn that the man had missed a press conference that day.

So Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong had no choice but to leave the building and turn back to the hotel.

When I arrived at the hotel, it was already packed with people, and there were many police cars blocking the road.

Fortunately, Lu Yuan had a military affiliation, so attending this meeting was not particularly difficult for him.

However, after going through layers of checks, we finally arrived at the conference hall on the top floor.

The conference hall was now full of people.

Those who arrive late can only stand at the back.

Helpless, Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong could only follow the reporters.

Standing at a distance, the reporters saw Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong dressed in plain clothes and assumed they were also reporters who had come together. They didn't take them seriously and spoke without any restraint.

One of the girls, with her hair in a ponytail, whispered to one of the photographers who was with her.

"I didn't expect the military to be so decisive. They changed people without any room for negotiation!"

The other person curled their lip, a look of disdain on their face.

"I'm afraid something has gone wrong again. We need to find someone to take responsibility. This isn't the first time something like this has happened!"

However, the girl had a different opinion.

"Impossible! They probably have some new plan! We just don't know it yet. These military personnel are actually backed by other powerful forces!"

Just then, a round of applause rang out, and then Lu Yuan felt someone pushing him.

The door next to him opened, and a group of people escorted a tall, burly naval officer to the front desk.

Then everyone applauded, stood up, and smiled. The middle-aged man in the navy uniform waved to the crowd.

Upon reaching the stage, the other party gave a brief self-introduction.

Lu Yuan then learned that the other person's name was Liu Hui, a retired naval officer.

However, he has now been reactivated to serve as the captain of the Third Fleet.

Lu Yuan didn't know the other party's identity, and neither did Zhou Tong.

At that moment, they heard the reporters next to them start whispering among themselves.
