If we were to actually venture into outer space, Earth would certainly encounter even more trouble.
He didn't know if he would be able to handle things calmly anymore, because they were no longer the Earth of the past, version 2.0.
Once they enter outer space, it means that what they will face next becomes much more complex.
While Lu Yuan was deep in thought, the warship had already flown to the experimental island of the new engine.
Upon arriving on the island, Lu Yuan quickly left the warship and went to the experimental chambers. The chambers were full of people, and expert teams had arrived from all over the country.
"Mr. Lu, you've arrived."
A middle-aged man with graying hair quickly walked over after seeing Lu Yuan.
Lu Yuan knew that he was Ou Yu, the person in charge of this project, and nodded slightly after seeing him.
"Any progress on Ou Yu's case?"
The other person shook their head with a wry smile.
"There's still no progress. We've tested almost all the fuel manufacturers and found no problems."
"No problem. Perhaps we didn't include enough in our screening?"
Ou Yu shook his head.
"Impossible. If there really were such a thing, it would be beyond our technical capabilities. We are currently using all the screening methods we have available, but we still haven't found any problems."
Upon hearing this, Lu Yuan felt a chill run down his spine.
"Should we continue our mining operations?"
Ou Yu looked up at Lu Yuan, pondered for a moment, and made a very difficult decision.
“Mr. Lu, I think if there really is a problem with ore X62, we should stop mining it.”
"But if we stop work, we won't be able to finish our project on time."
Ou Yu nodded slightly, his face showing great distress.
"Of course I know that, but there's nothing we can do. No matter how much they mine over there, if we encounter any problems, we still can't use these X62 ore pieces once they're brought back."
Lu Yuan and Ou Yu both fell into a long silence.
The people around were still chattering and making noise.
Everyone expressed their opinions, proposing their own ideas and solutions, but whenever a new idea came out, it was always overturned.
Lu Yuan was also at a loss, unsure of how to proceed.
Time passed by, and Lu Yuan finally decided to go to the scene to take a look.
Upon arrival at the scene, the engine compartment fuel chamber had already been opened, and the temperature there had already dropped.
The area around the fuel pool is still covered in ashes and has been cordoned off to preserve the scene.
"This is the trace left after the X62 ore was burned. The black stuff here is the product of the slag and XL ore being fused together."
Ou Yu explained the situation to Lu Yuan.
Although Lu Yuan didn't quite understand what he was hearing, he could roughly grasp some of the meaning. After pondering for a moment, he lifted the cordon tape, squatted down, and reached out to pick up some black powder.
"You said there was a red light flashing in this black powder, so can this powder still emit a red flash now?"
Ou Yu gently shook his head.
"Of course it's impossible for it to emit red flashes now. Its structure has been destroyed by us. Even if it could reflect light, there would be too little of it. The light would have been blocked by the color of the fuel long ago."
Lu Yuan pondered for a moment and then spoke.
"What if we burn this fuel again?"
Upon hearing his words, Ou Yu immediately frowned.
"That's what we thought before, but I'm worried that if it really burns like that, and this time we're done, we might not even have the research materials for these experiments left."
Lu Yuan looked at the powder on his fingers and sighed softly.
"But what we're keeping now is a waste of time. We don't have enough time to do this anymore. Pluto is just around the corner. If we continue like this, we'll be destroyed by these things sooner or later."
After hearing Lu Yuan's words, Ou Yu fell silent. At this moment, several scholars next to him whispered.
"I think Mr. Lu is right. Our top priority is to deal with these situations as soon as possible, rather than continuing to hold onto these things."
"Yes, only after burning it can we extract what's left in the X62 ore."
"Yes. If it's a chance encounter, let's do as Mr. Lu says. Doing it this way is just a waste of time."
As I glanced at the crowd, I noticed a hint of excitement in everyone's eyes.
Finally, Ou Yu sighed and looked at Lu Yuan.
"Okay, let's do it your way and burn these things."
A cheer erupted from the crowd, and then everyone took all the powder to the laboratory next door, where they divided it into portions for comparative experiments.
Lu Yuan stood quietly to the side, watching as the laboratory continuously emitted enormous energy from the burning powder.
After each combustion, the test machines next to it would collect the details of what happened during the combustion process.
Because there is so much powder, it would take at least several hours to complete the entire process.
