Upon hearing this news, everyone realized that they had almost forgotten they still had to get through the disaster.
It's not as casual as it used to be here.
What they will face next is the real disaster; the monsters and housing problems they are facing now are child's play.
The truly dangerous things are those extreme heat waves.
Lu Yuan frowned as he heard footsteps coming from downstairs.
He turned his head and saw Sophia standing in front of the stairs looking at him.
He knew the other person probably wanted to know what had happened.
Unfortunately, the other person didn't have a computer, so they could only look at themselves.
"Come up here."
Lu Yuan's voice remained calm as he spoke to the other person before turning and entering his room.
Sophia's voice of gratitude came from downstairs, and after receiving the message, she hurriedly came to the computer.
The other person first glanced at Lu Yuan, and seeing that he didn't stop them, they boldly put their hands on the keyboard and started checking what was happening in the group.
The messages flashing in the chat box are very fast, but after a casual glance, you can pick out a few keywords.
Disaster, high temperatures, water, food, and all kinds of plunder.
These terms all refer to the end times.
Sofia's skin began to slowly change color, turning into a cold, pale white.
It seems the other person is extremely frightened at this moment.
Lu Yuan leaned against the wall, his mind racing with thoughts of what might happen next and how to deal with it.
He wasn't actually that worried about these disasters.
He was even more eager to know what kind of reward humanity would receive after surviving this disaster.
"Could you ask me inside what kind of reward I'll receive on my planet if I survive this disaster, using my own account?"
Sofia nodded immediately, logged into her account, and then sent a message in the public chat.
Sure enough, as soon as she posted her message, her comments section was flooded with messages tagging her.
"Girl, you're overthinking it. Let's get through this disaster first. What are you thinking about for the rewards after the disaster?"
"Yeah, whether we can get through this is still unknown. Are you some kind of expert?"
"Where do you work, young lady? Do you need to team up?"
"I reckon there will be quite a few rewards after this disaster, probably based on how you get through it."
They were just talking nonsense. Sophia glanced at it and, finding nothing she wanted to know, gently shook her head at Lu Yuan.
Lu Yuan let out a long sigh.
As expected, nobody knows. It seems we can only wait for it to end.
However, just when Lu Yuan thought he was about to give up, Sophia, who was sitting in the chair, suddenly exclaimed in surprise.
Lu Yuan turned his head and glanced at him.
"What happened?"
Sofia pointed in surprise toward the computer.
"Someone messaged me privately saying they were willing to sell some information for a high price."
Upon hearing Sophia's words, Lu Yuan couldn't help but sneer.
"Do you still find this kind of question credible? What do you think he'll tell you when he asks you out?"
After hearing Lu Yuan's words, Sophia fell silent.
She knew that her appearance was probably his advantage, but many people were attracted to her body rather than her abilities.
Seeing Sophia's dejected look, Lu Yuan shook his head helplessly.
"Alright, it's getting late. Go back and get some rest. I'm going out tonight, so make sure your door is closed when I leave."
Sophia nodded gently and left the room, while Lu Yuan leaned against the bed.
He didn't know how long he had been in a daze, but he vaguely felt that it was already completely dark outside, and he suddenly opened his eyes.
By this time, he had fully recovered his strength and moved around a bit to get his body back to its peak condition.
He then picked up something and put it in his mouth, at which point he heard a rustling sound coming from below.
So Lu Yuan walked barefoot to the top of the stairs and looked down.
Downstairs, in the pitch black, Sophia was squatting against the wall, chewing on something.
Lu Yuan frowned slightly. By the moonlight outside, he saw that the other person was gnawing on the things left in the trash can.
Seeing her like this, Lu Yuan shook his head helplessly.
He then dressed himself, carefully tucked the dagger into his belt, and walked straight downstairs.
"The food in there is quite dirty, don't eat it. You can save these things for yourself."
After saying that, Lu Yuan tossed a bag to the other person. The bag contained some dried meat, rice balls, and some medicine.
Sophia wiped her mouth awkwardly, nodded slightly, but didn't dare to look up at Su Cheng.
Lu Yuan had no intention of continuing the conversation with the other party, so he simply got dressed and walked outside.
It was already late outside.
The experts have started to emerge again, and now the daytime is almost entirely the time for the novices to be active, while the nighttime is truly the most dangerous time.
There are actually quite a few lone wolves like Lu Yuan; there are many like him throughout the region.
They have no connection whatsoever. And lone wolves like them are the most dangerous.
Therefore, Lu Yuan had to pay attention to his surroundings and whether anyone in the nearby houses was going to ambush him.
In order to obtain more water resources, Lu Yuan had to make plans for the future.
