Chapter 208 A New Identity is Needed

"I refuse to believe there's not a single person here!"

Lu Yuan spat out a mouthful of saliva, found some dried meat, stuffed it into his mouth, and chewed it gently.

The night passed quickly. Lu Yuan looked at the time; he had been waiting for about ten hours, but no one had come out of the camp.

"Could it be that they're not coming out at all? If that's the case, how long will we have to wait?!"

Lu Yuan even had an impulse to rush in, but he remembered Sun Yan's warning to him: he must not act impulsively, the people inside were all devils. So he suppressed the impulse in his heart.

Fortunately, heaven rewards those who persevere. It seemed that heaven was also looking out for Lu Yuan, worried that he had been waiting for so long. A military green truck drove out from under his eyes.

Lu Yuan instantly perked up. He bit his tongue, forcibly trying to rouse himself.

Looking through the binoculars into the car, Lu Yuan noticed one man in particular – the middle-aged man who had gotten out of the car yesterday. The man had a worried look on his face and was looking at something in his hand. The other man was driving the car with a blank expression.

Looking back, Lu Yuan realized there were only the two of them on the truck, and no other vehicles were coming in. He straightened his clothes, then rushed to the side of the road and waved to the other side.

There seemed to be no one on the roads around here all this time. Suddenly, Lu Yuan appeared, startling the driver, who slammed on the brakes.

Suddenly, a violent screech of brakes rang out. The middle-aged man in the driver's seat was slammed hard against the windshield. He clutched his head and cursed under his breath. The driver saw that the car had stopped when it was less than five meters away from Lu Yuan, and his face turned pale with fright.

The driver jumped out of the car, his face contorted with rage. He then strode up to Lu Yuan and yelled, "You little bastard, are you looking for death?!"

Another middle-aged man got out of the car, clutching his forehead and grimacing. His expression was one of pain, but even more so of anger.

"What do you want? Why are you blocking the road? Don't you know this road is under lockdown?"

With an apologetic smile, Lu Yuan said, "I really do have something to ask you, otherwise I wouldn't have resorted to this!"

A look of suspicion crossed the middle-aged man's face. After scrutinizing Lu Yuan from head to toe, he asked, "We don't seem to know each other. What do you want with us?"

So Lu Yuan told the other party in detail about his desire to enter the camp and asked how to get the pass.

The middle-aged man breathed a sigh of relief after hearing this: "Hey, it's such a simple matter! You should have said so earlier. Why did you block the road? If we had actually hit you, we really wouldn't have been able to compensate you!"

After expressing his apologies again, Lu Yuan asked the other party how to obtain the pass.

The other person hesitated for a moment, then stared into Lu Yuan's eyes and said, "Tell me, what do you want to do in this camp? If you're planning to take revenge on this Sun Laosan, I advise you to give up on that idea. He has countless experts around him, and you won't even have a chance to get close to him. You'll be killed!"

Lu Yuan was taken aback by his seemingly nonsensical words. His eyes widened, and he quickly shook his head in denial, saying, "Brother, you've got it wrong. I'm not looking for revenge against Sun Laosan. I just want to get some things and then leave!"

The middle-aged man gave a wry smile and said, "Oh, it seems I was overthinking it. It's good that it's not about revenge. But what are you planning to do? You seem to be in good spirits and physical condition. You don't look like someone who has ever gone hungry. Is there anything you can't get your hands on?"

Seeing that the other party meant no harm, Lu Yuan figured it wouldn't hurt to tell them his thoughts, so he said, "I want to get an airplane!"

The middle-aged man and his driver stared wide-eyed at Lu Yuan and repeated, "Get an airplane? Kid, are you crazy? Airplanes aren't something ordinary people can handle. The planes here are all training aircraft!"

Lu Yuan shook his head and said, "I want to get a plane to fly to the other side of the rift valley and take a look. My family is all over there, so if you have any connections, I can trade with you for food and meat. I can meet any conditions you set!"

The man shook his head with a wry smile and said, "You overestimate me. We don't have the ability to get our hands on a plane. If you want to get a plane, you'll have to go in yourself!"

"But I can help you with the pass. Do you have your ID? I just need to tell them you're one of my workers, and I can get you in!"

Upon hearing this, Lu Yuan was overjoyed and quickly nodded, taking out his ID from his pocket and handing it to the other person.

After taking Lu Yuan's identification, the middle-aged man frowned slightly, then stared at Lu Yuan intently for a moment before saying, "You're Lu Yuan? You wouldn't happen to be the Lu Yuan from the new camp, would you? I've heard about you! Don't you have your own base?"

Lu Yuan did not intend to reveal his true identity. He was worried that it would cause trouble for his side. If his identity were exposed, it would be too easy for these people to get anything from him.
