Hei Zi stepped forward and gently knocked on the car window. The window opened a crack, revealing half of the man's face. He then asked somewhat coldly, "What do you want?"
Hei Zi, with a smile on his face, pointed at the girl inside and said, "I'm just here to get her contact information! I think I've seen this girl before; she saved my life once, so I'm going to take a look!"
The man's face showed a hint of impatience: "You've mistaken her for someone else, she's definitely not her!"
He was about to roll down the car window when the girl sitting in the back suddenly shouted, "It's you! I gave you half a bag of rice before! Is it really you?!"
Hei Zi, who was standing outside the window, was stunned for a moment after hearing this, and then nodded repeatedly.
Just as the man in the car was about to say something, a patrol team approached from a distance. The man immediately had a bad feeling, but could only hear the soldiers coldly say, "We're from out of town. How could you possibly have seen her before?"
However, Hei Zi still clung to the car window and peered inside. The girl struggled desperately as if she had found a lifeline. The man was afraid that the girl's shouts would attract the patrol team, so he could only whisper something in her ear. Then the back door opened and the girl got out of the car.
"Great, I've finally met you, my benefactor! Can I have your phone number?" Standing close to the girl, Hei Zi couldn't help but reveal a sly smile.
The girl nodded slightly, took the phone from Hei Zi, and was about to enter a number when the man grabbed it fiercely.
"Don't try anything funny, we still have things to do! Saying thank you is enough, there's no need to be so polite about half a bag of rice!"
