Suddenly, a statement in the case file caught Lu Yuan's attention.
The file showed a date, exactly three months ago, not long after the major earthquake, when the fifth survivor base in Anhui Province had just been completed.
"An earthquake struck, and our group scrambled to take cover. Many people fell into the rift valley. A volcano appeared on the other side of the valley, continuously spewing lava and magma.
