As he spoke, Niu Wen pulled a document from under his arm and handed it to Lu Yuan.
Lu Yuan nodded slightly, then said to Niu Ping, "Alright, Niu Ping, you go ahead and get busy. Let Niu Wen stay here!"
Niu Ping immediately saluted, then gently tapped Niu Wen's shoulder, muttered a couple of words, and left.
After opening the file and looking at the medical examination report, Lu Yuan was speechless. Every single condition listed on the report was barely met by Niu Wen, except for his height. His eyesight was also something that left Lu Yuan speechless.
How nearsighted are you?
"Uh... more than five hundred!"
"Holy crap! Over 500 degrees? Why does your medical report say your vision is normal?"
"Um... I passed because I memorized the eye chart!"
Lu Yuan was speechless for a moment, and even wanted to give the other person a thumbs up. This was just unbelievable!
"Okay! Your eyesight might affect your work! I hope you won't let it cause problems! Although you've passed the medical exam, I still think there are some other issues!"
Niu Wen quickly said, "Captain, don't worry, my eyesight will definitely not affect my work!"
Lu Yuan sighed and could only remain speechless at the other party's appraiser's gaze.
However, Lu Yuan then noticed a line of small print on the other person's work experience page.
"You used to be a doctor?"
The other person nodded, hesitated for a moment, and said, "I should be considered an intern doctor, but I already have the ability to treat patients independently! You can rest assured about that, Captain. If anyone in the team gets injured, I'll be fine!"
Lu Yuan nodded silently. He didn't want to refuse the other party now. After all, his team was still short two spots. It didn't matter who got them, as long as they didn't cause trouble for his team.
So Lu Yuan chatted with the other party about work-related issues, and Niu Wen was very cooperative.
After glancing at the time, Lu Yuan stood up and said, "Alright! You'll start working officially tomorrow! Your salary and benefits will be the same as regular team members. Don't be late, don't leave early, and absolutely no forming cliques, understand?"
Niu Wen saluted Lu Yuan again, saying, "Yes, Captain Lu!"
Lu Yuan shook his head and smiled wryly, then stepped forward to correct the other person's mistake in saluting.
As Lu Yuan opened the door, preparing to see Niu Wen off, Hou Qiang stormed in, his face contorted with rage: "Captain Lu! This Yan Bing is utterly arrogant! He's so presumptuous! We have to teach him a lesson! He completely disregards us!"
Lu Yuan frowned as he stared at Hou Qiang and said, "What's wrong! This guy still doesn't intend to cooperate? There's no need to get so angry!"
"No, Captain, this guy actually cursed everyone in our Seventh Team and even threatened to fire all of us! We can't fight him, but if it weren't for breaking the rules, I would have really attacked him!"
Lu Yuan sighed helplessly, "Sigh! We'll just have to keep at it with this kind of person! Whatever he says! Let's just keep him up all night and see how long he can hold out!"
Hou Qiang angrily picked up the tea on the table and drank it all in one gulp. Lu Yuan then said to Hou Qiang, "By the way, this is our new team member, Niu Wen!"
"Oh! I've seen him. Old Niu told us all that his cousin was coming. Wait... how did you pass the medical exam? What's with those flat-soled glasses? Captain, are you planning to put this guy in an administrative position? There aren't any administrative positions in our team!"
Lu Yuan shook his head with a wry smile and then recounted the story. Hou Qiang immediately gave him a thumbs up: "Awesome! You really are a genius!"
"Alright, you can take a break! I'll go back to interrogate this tough nut later! Niu Wen, you can go now! Just be on time for work tomorrow!"
Lu Yuan picked up his things and prepared to leave, but Niu Wen suddenly spoke up: "Captain, I have a way to get this guy to talk!"
Hou Qiang and Lu Yuan immediately perked up when Niu Wen said he had a way to get the other party to talk.
"What? You mean you have a way to get these two to talk? Really? Are you kidding me?" Hou Qiang looked at the other person in disbelief.
Lu Yuan was also somewhat incredulous, after all, the Niu Wen in front of him looked thin and weak, with a scholarly appearance, and would probably faint at the sight of blood.
"You're kidding me! These two aren't your average thugs. Our team has been interrogating them for over twenty hours, and they still haven't told the truth!"
Niu Wen adjusted his glasses and said, "Yes, I'm not joking, I'm serious. I have my own ways of dealing with these kinds of people! They don't need to ask me to!"
Lu Yuan became interested upon hearing this: "They don't need to say anything? How do you know whether they'll say anything or not!"
Niu Wen smiled and said, "My method requires some tools, so I'll go back and get them first. If you allow me, Captain, I can come back later!"
Upon hearing this, Lu Yuan became somewhat interested and immediately raised his hand, saying, "Alright! Since you have a plan, then go ahead and do it!"
Niu Wen nodded and jogged away from the office building.
Hou Qiang lit a cigarette and looked at Niu Wen's retreating figure, asking, "Captain, what's this kid's background? He seems kind of obedient!"
"I don't know, maybe they have their own trump card!"
