Ten minutes later, the two met again. The village was not very large, and there were only about twenty or thirty households living there.
"There aren't many people here, and I don't know if there are any cars. Let's go in and take a look!" Lu Yuan said, expressing his idea.
Xiwen nodded: "Yes, that's fine!"
Then, the two of them walked into the village along the path.
Since all animals have become food for humans after the apocalypse, the practice of keeping dogs in rural areas has ceased. This made Lu Yuan feel somewhat melancholic. Almost every place in the village where people lived had lights on, but after the two of them went through several houses, they didn't find anyone. It was a rather strange place. However, changing or repairing a tire would make a lot of noise, and Xiwen frowned as he looked at the car's condition.
"It's beyond repair. We don't have the necessary tools, and the car is badly damaged. Even if we could fix the tires, we wouldn't know if there are any other good parts inside!"

Suddenly, Lu Yuan heard a noise in the distance, so he quickly reached out to stop Xiwen's rant.
"Shh, wait a minute, I think I heard something!"
Xiwen quickly shut his mouth and held his breath, afraid of disturbing Lu Yuan.
Lu Yuan squatted down and started listening intently, but the sound only lasted for a moment and then stopped. It seemed to be a person's voice, but Lu Yuan couldn't hear it very clearly and couldn't be sure if it was a human voice.
