Chapter 322 Land in Sight

The wind and waves were huge, the sky was gloomy, and everyone felt dizzy.

"Is everyone alright?" Lu Yuan asked, going from cabin to cabin.

Han Wen's face turned deathly pale. Although she was not prone to seasickness, the month-long voyage had left her without a ray of sunlight, and all she saw outside the cabin was the vast expanse of dark blue seawater.

Almost everyone was suffering from eye strain anxiety. They desperately wanted to disembark and leave the luxury yacht, but they couldn't see a single patch of land. Everyone had vomited so much that there was nothing left to vomit.

"Thank goodness! I won't die!" Han Wen tried his best to look good, but as soon as he opened his mouth, he felt a strong urge to vomit.

Lu Yuan could only step forward and gently pat her back.

"It might feel better if you vomit and drink some water!"

Han Wen weakly took the water glass, took a small sip, and then stopped drinking.

After closing the hatch, Lu Yuan walked to the next room.

They were all in the same situation, their conditions were quite bad, and their fates seemed to be just a hair's breadth apart.

Approaching the last hatch, Lu Yuan gently patted the door.

"Liu Shu, are you inside? It's me, Lu Yuan! How are you doing?"

But there was no sound inside.

So Lu Yuan knocked on the door again, but there was still no response from inside.

"Damn it! When will this ever end?!"

Lu Yuan then pounded on the door again, but there was still no response.

"Oh no! Will something go wrong?"

Lu Yuan's heart tightened, so he kicked the door open.

A foul stench immediately filled the air, and the cabin was pitch black, so Lu Yuan had to turn on the lights.

The moment the light came on, Lu Yuan felt a chill run down his spine at the scene inside. He saw a gaunt man lying on the bed, his face contorted in pain, his eyes filled with resentment and agony, his eyeballs seemingly about to bulge out.

What was most terrifying was that there was a long gash on his wrist, the blood had long since dried, and the ground was sticky with blood. Liu Shu's clothes were very neat, and he was holding a letter in his left hand. The blade on the ground was soaked in blood.

Lu Yuan quickly stepped forward and helped the other person up.

"Liu Shu! Liu Shu! What's wrong?"

Lu Yuan called out the other person's name desperately, but after calling several times, the other person still did not respond and was ice cold all over.

He squeezed the other person's wrist; there was no pulse, and the person was completely dead.

Lu Yuan's hand trembled slightly as he took out the letter from the other person's hand.

"Lu Yuan, I'm so sorry I can't go with you to find your family. I really can't take it anymore. Falling asleep every night is so difficult. I just can't go on. I have no family, no ties, I'm just a loner. I'm sorry, I have to go now. Anxiety is just too unbearable. Oh, and consider this my commission back! Consider it a gift for my brother and sister-in-law, uncles and aunts, and grandparents. Remember to pick out some nice gifts for me! That's all! Farewell! Liu Shu! Last words!"

After reading the letter, Lu Yuan felt dizzy. He opened his mouth but didn't know what to say. After spending so much time together, he had come to regard each crew member as family. Liu Shu's death really pierced Lu Yuan's heart.

Hearing Lu Yuan's shout, the other people in the cabin rushed over. When they saw Lu Yuan squatting on the ground, holding Liu Shu's suicide note, everyone fell silent.

Han Wen leaned against the wall and gently patted Lu Yuan's back: "Lu Yuan, don't be sad. Death might be a relief for him!"

Lu Yuan nodded slightly, let out a long sigh, and then picked up Liu Shu's body.

"Let's bury Liu Shu first! We can't do a sea burial. I guess he wants to see what the land looks like before he dies. We have to grant his wish!"

Everyone nodded and said nothing more.

Lu Yuan found some planks in the cabin, then sat on the deck with a dagger, smoking a cigarette, and slowly shaved the planks, leaving a pile of sawdust on the deck.

The wind was howling, and Lu Yuan was covered in cigarette ash. There were cigarette butts everywhere on the deck, but Lu Yuan didn't care at all.

Han Wen and his friends were having dinner together, and they all looked at Lu Yuan with some emotion.

"Let's all be strong! Let's not let Lu Yuan be sad anymore!"

"Yeah! I've been at sea for too long, I'm completely out of my mind! Once I get to land, I don't plan to come out again! Damn it! I'd rather eat dirt than stay here!"

"If I die, please get me a wooden coffin! Don't burn me, and definitely don't throw me into the sea!"

"You scoundrel! If you dare to die, I'll be the first to throw you into the sea!"

...

Another week has passed, and a white sailboat floats on the sea, its tall sails quite eye-catching.

Lu Yuan hadn't shaved in a long time; his hair had grown long enough to cover his face, and his beard was long enough to be grasped with his hands.

His daily task was to climb up the mast and squat for a while. Every time he got up on the mast, Lu Yuan always felt that he could reach out and touch the sky.

"Lu Yuan, come down for lunch! Don't stay still! It's so cold up there! Be careful not to get blown down by the wind!" Xi Wen shouted loudly to Lu Yuan from under the mast.

Lu Yuan looked down at Xiwen and smiled, "It's alright! I'll stay a little longer, you guys eat first!"
