A dozen or so children were running around carrying various simple lanterns, while the adults in their families kept calling out reminders like, "Be careful, don't fall."
But the children remained oblivious, as if they had returned to a world before the apocalypse.
No one knows who led the group to Lu Yuan's side, and then saw Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong sitting on a nearby rock, looking timid and hesitant, as if they wanted to do something but didn't dare to.
Finally, an older girl walked up to Lu Yuan and said sweetly, "Uncle Lu Yuan, can we...can we invite Sister Zhou Chen to come out and play together?"
Lu Yuan was taken aback, and immediately understood why Zhou Chen had brought Zhou Tong to his place earlier; it was clear that he wanted to play with the children.
"You'll have to ask Uncle Zhou Tong if he's willing!"
Zhou Tong sighed and then nodded.
"Go ahead! But don't go too far, come home after playing for a while! Got it?"
The children immediately beamed with joy and ran to Lu Yuan's house, shouting Zhou Chen's name loudly.
Before long, Zhou Chen ran out of the cave, carrying several bright hand lanterns in his hands. Xiao Shan stood behind him, looking at him with concern.
"Xiao Chen, don't run too far! Be careful on the road!"
"Okay, Sister Xiaoshan! Thank you for making so many lanterns for me!"
Xiao Shan Minmin smiled and walked over when she saw Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong sitting in the distance.
Why are you all sitting outside?
"Ahem! Well, Lu Yuan, I'll head back now! Little Shan, I'm off!"
With that, Zhou Tong stood up and left.
Lu Yuan and Xiao Shan looked at Zhou Tong's departing figure with a sense of dejection, and immediately understood what had happened.
"Brother Zhou is missing his wife!"
"Yeah! He always avoids me, probably because he's afraid of thinking about his wife! By the way, didn't I hear that Brother Zhou found a girlfriend a while ago? Why haven't I heard anything about him since?"
Lu Yuan shook his head: "I don't know. I've brought this up a few times, but this guy is just stubborn and won't say anything, acting like it's something he can't be proud of."

The two chatted as they looked up at the horizon.
Suddenly, the sky above the valley entrance seemed to brighten considerably.
"Lu Yuan, look! The sky over there..."
Lu Yuan also noticed this situation; the distant horizon was already beginning to lighten, giving the illusion of sunrise.
"No...no way, the sun is really going to come out?"
Xiao Shan murmured.
Lu Yuan quickly stood up, found a huge rock, climbed up, and looked into the distance from the rock.
Something seemed to appear on the distant horizon, and a white mist slowly drifted in from afar.
"That is..."
Xiao Shan climbed up at some point, and, holding Lu Yuan's shoulder, pointed to the distant mist and said...
"I have a bad feeling!" Lu Yuan said after watching for a while.
Suddenly, a gust of wind swept through the valley, carrying dust and debris that lashed against the hillside with a whooshing sound.
Lu Yuan couldn't care less about anything else. With a thought, a telescope appeared in his hand.
After adjusting the magnification of the telescope, Lu Yuan was finally able to see the situation in the distance clearly.
Suddenly, a huge glacier appeared on the sea. The glacier was slowly rising, indicating that it was still some distance from the combined islands.
The glacier leaves behind a trail of fog, which seems to have been brought from hell. When it touches anything, it immediately freezes into a large amount of frost.
Lu Yuan could even hear the ground crackling and sizzling from the cold.
"Damn it! A cold front! It's a cold front!"
"What? A cold front?" Xiao Shan hadn't turned around yet.
Lu Yuan handed her the binoculars and pointed in the distance, saying, "See the glacier? The temperature there is extremely low! It's already frozen! Hurry home and tell your family to start a fire! Quickly!"
After seeing clearly, Xiao Shan turned pale. She put down the binoculars, jumped off the rock, and then grabbed Lu Yuan, trying to head home.
However, Lu Yuan did not move.
Where are you going?
"I'll go tell everyone! There are still many people outside releasing lanterns! I need to get them home now!"

Xiao Shan didn't want to lose Lu Yuan again, but seeing that Lu Yuan had already left, she could only stomp her feet and then run towards home.
Lu Yuan sped towards the main entrance of the cave on the east side.
Zhou Tong was still watching the girls releasing lanterns not far away, lost in thought, when he suddenly felt someone running behind him. He turned around and saw that it was Lu Yuan.
