Following Qi Liang out of the chaotic cave, the biting cold wind made Qi Liang shiver. He tightened his cotton coat, while the people behind him didn't have warm clothes and could only hunch over as much as possible, quickening their pace forward.
Due to the strong winds, several people were blown to the ground and rolled around, sustaining injuries.
Qi Liang led two people forward and quickly pulled the person up. In this kind of weather, if a person falls and doesn't get up in time, they might never be able to stand up again. Qi Liang continued to lead the people forward.
Once we reached the back of the mountain, the wind had lessened considerably.
However, the temperature was extremely low, and everyone's lips were turning blue and their bodies were trembling. Lu Yuan heard the commotion outside, opened the cave entrance, and waved to them.
Qi Liang led his men quickly toward the cave.
Upon arriving at the cave, Qi Liang handed the notebook to Lu Yuan, saying expectantly, "Boss Lu, I've brought all the people you wanted. Take a look and check them out!"
Lu Yuan glanced around at everyone, took the notebook and counted them. There were fifteen people in total, no more and no less.
"Alright, you can stay here and go. Zhou Tong will give you the water you wanted in a bit!"
After hearing this, Qi Liang immediately relaxed his brows, bowed and thanked him, and then quickly led his men away from the cave.
The group that arrived at the cave were still in a daze, because they found a huge helicopter inside the cave, and they didn't know when Lu Yuan had brought the helicopter there.
Lu Yuan didn't explain to them, nor did he tell his family about this. The only people who knew were Qi Liang and the people in front of him. Qi Liang always thought that Lu Yuan was brought over from the base in the United States, so he didn't ask any questions.
Inside the cave, Lu Yuan had already lit a fire, making the entire cave warm and cozy. The cold wind outside was blowing at the cave entrance, making a "whooshing" sound that sounded particularly eerie.
Then Lu Yuan looked around at everyone again and said, "I called you all here today mainly for one thing! The Apache helicopter behind me has a problem, so if any of you are capable of fixing it, just let me know. The rest of you will be my assistants, understand?"
Everyone nodded in agreement. Before coming here, they were all prepared to die, because Lu Yuan had given each of them a lot of food. They were full and ready to go. Who knew that when they arrived, they would find that Lu Yuan had actually asked them to repair the plane.
Everyone looked at each other, and a few people, with their necks stiffened, stepped forward and said they could fix it.
Lu Yuan didn't stand on ceremony and directly gave them a notebook, then asked them to start looking for the problem.
However, after walking around the plane several times, these people found nothing other than water and oil leaks, and Lu Yuan immediately shook his head.
"If you don't know, you don't know. Stop pretending to be all high and mighty. You guys can go down now!" Lu Yuan said irritably, looking at the others again.
"Who among you knows how to repair airplanes?"
After a while, seeing that no one was moving forward, Shi Quan quietly pushed his way through the crowd and went to the front: "Boss Lu, I... I'll give it a try!"
Lu Yuan looked up at the other person and realized that it was the same Shi Quan that the man had told him about earlier.
"Okay, you give it a try!"
Shi Quan nodded, took the notebook and pen, walked around the plane, wrote down the problems he had found, opened the engine hood, inspected the engine, and identified a few more issues.
Then he inspected some other parts of the aircraft, and soon a notebook was filled with all sorts of faults and potential problems. Lu Yuan watched from the side and nodded repeatedly.
"Boss Lu, the inspection is complete!"
Shi Quan walked up to Lu Yuan with the small notebook in his hand and gently handed it to him.
After taking the notebook and glancing at it, Lu Yuan immediately realized that the questions on it covered all the problems they had found, as well as some problems that they had not yet investigated. He immediately felt that Shi Quan was really knowledgeable.
"Okay, not bad, it seems you really do have experience!"
Shi Quan scratched his head and smiled sheepishly: "I used to work at an airport for a while. Although I never did maintenance, I do know a little about assembly."
This aircraft is the latest Apache attack helicopter produced by the United States, and it is also their main combat helicopter. Developed by Boeing in the early 1970s, it has undergone decades of upgrades and the addition of many new combat equipment. Its performance indicators have always far surpassed those of other helicopters, making it arguably the most powerful helicopter in the air.
Shi Quan rattled off all the features, production dates, and other relevant information about the Apache as if he knew them by heart, which shocked everyone present. In particular, Lu Yuan felt his confidence soar when he heard that he had never seen some of the things Shi Quan mentioned.
"Can this thing be repaired? I'm thinking of converting it into a transport plane, what do you think?"
Lu Yuan shared his thoughts: "I've looked at it, and the rear ammunition compartment is quite large. Would there be any problems if we converted it into passenger seating? In this extremely cold weather, would we need to take any precautions if we wanted to fly?"
Upon hearing Lu Yuan's words, Shi Quan's eyes widened in surprise.
"This...this is the most advanced helicopter in the United States. It would be very difficult to modify it, and we lack all sorts of materials and tools. If we make any unauthorized modifications, we might destroy the helicopter!"
