Chapter 395 Shi Quan is Gone

5:30 a.m.

The family members dozed off by the fire, but none of them went back to their rooms to sleep.

Lu Yuan lay in his chair, tossing and turning, unable to sleep, and glanced at the time.

Mr. Lu, who was standing nearby, quickly said, "Son, it's 5:30! Shouldn't we be leaving?"

Lu's father didn't sleep all night. Whenever Lu Yuan made any noise, he would immediately turn around and report the time, so he didn't know how many times he had asked.

Upon hearing this time, everyone stood up. They had already packed all their equipment and placed it at their feet, waiting for Lu Yuan's order so they could board the ship with their belongings and set off.

"Alright, since we can't wait any longer, let's set off! Grandpa and Grandma, please make sure you wear warm clothes!"

Grandpa patted his thick, puffy cotton coat on his chest: "Don't worry, you won't get cold. This coat is really warm; I feel like I'm about to get heat rash!"

Lu Yuan looked at the others and found that everyone was already fully prepared. They had checked themselves countless times throughout the night. They had taken almost everything they could from the cave, and left the rest behind.

This time, Lu Yuan was saying goodbye to this island forever, but thinking about how long he had stayed here, he still felt a little reluctant to leave. Looking at the room's furnishings, Lu Yuan couldn't help but sigh.

"Sigh, it's finally time to leave. Let me take one last look!"

One by one, they helped each other out of the cave. Lu Yuan wanted to take everything inside to the dimensional space, but he felt that these things might not be useful after they got to their new place. So this time, Lu Yuan made a decisive decision to declutter and stop storing these things.

He used to be more like a little hamster, hoarding everything he needed to survive the winter before it even arrived, and wanting to take everything he saw with him.

This time, Lu Yuan felt that these things were unnecessary. Rather than taking up his space, he might as well just throw them all away and give the people who would survive here a chance.

I took a picture of the cave entrance with my phone, then put the phone back in my pocket, put the goggles over my eyes, and followed the crowd forward.

It seemed as if even the heavens knew they were going to leave. On this day, the wind subsided, and the moonlight shone even brighter, illuminating the entire earth as if it were daytime.

Lu Yuan helped his grandfather while dragging his own luggage.

When they reached the beach, they saw more than a dozen people shivering from the cold, looking at them with hopeful eyes as they faced the sea breeze.

Sun Zhe was unsure what to say in gratitude. He moved his mouth for a long time but couldn't say anything. When he got closer, his knees buckled and he wanted to kneel down, but he held back after remembering what Lu Yuan had told him earlier.

"Is everyone here?"

Lu Yuan glanced around at everyone: "There are only so many empty seats on the ship right now! We can't bring any more people!"

Sun Zhe quickly said, "Everyone's here, but two people had already frozen to death when we went to find them this morning. Now we have two extra spots."

"Two extra are fine, let's get on board!"

Lu Yuan looked at everyone again, then picked up his luggage to leave. Sun Zhe quickly took the things from Lu Yuan's hands, and the others rushed over to help carry the things, all very eager.

Lu Yuan saved them again this time, and he naturally didn't need to say much about his feelings. Lu Yuan didn't need their gratitude. He just saved these people on the side. As for them repaying him, he didn't think about it. He only hoped that they wouldn't betray him or oppose him in the future, and he would be grateful.

Zhou Tong arrived at the ship early to wait. Upon seeing Lu Yuan and the others, he quickly lowered the suspension ladder. Everyone climbed the tall ladder and boarded the ship. After settling his family in, Lu Yuan asked Sun Zhe and the others, "Is it alright for you to stay below deck?"

Sun Zhe thanked him repeatedly with gratitude, "Of course, no problem. Wherever you tell us to stay, Brother Lu, we'll stay. Even sleeping on the deck is fine!"

"Sleeping on the deck is not necessary, but it might be a bit cold down there. Just bear with it. Come to my place later and get a few sets of cotton-padded clothes, one for each person! Also, you are not allowed to wander around on the ship except to use the toilet and eat!"

"Don't worry, we know the rules, and we promise not to do anything wrong!"

Lu Yuan nodded. At this moment, a girl in the crowd who was extremely thin looked at Lu Yuan. It was Kong Hanting, who had become so thin that she looked unrecognizable.

He sighed, said nothing, and turned to leave.

Soon everyone had finished packing their belongings, and a fire was lit in the cabin. Everyone stayed in the warm cabin and didn't come out. Lu Yuan looked at the weather and then glanced at the time.

"What's wrong with Shi Quan? He's dragging my feet at this crucial moment!"

Lu Yuan is now only waiting for their plane, but Shi Quan hasn't brought it over yet, which is making him a little anxious.

"Brother Zhou, please keep an eye on things here for a while. I'll go back and look for him. Shi Quan hasn't arrived yet. Our journey can't be delayed any longer; we must set off as soon as possible!"

"Don't worry, hurry up and come back. I reckon this guy is saying goodbye to the camp!" Zhou Tong slowly raised the anchor and then prepared to clear the deck.

Now that they have the behemoth, their voyage will basically not need to burn fuel at the beginning. Lu Yuan is not a heartless boss; he does not want the behemoth to keep dragging their ship all the way to Taiping Continent.
