However, to his surprise, this "giant rock" turned out to be a moving one.
"Damn it! What the hell is that?! Someone come quick! There's something right in front of the ship! Organize a counterattack immediately!" the bald man shouted loudly outside.
Several deputies quickly chased after them and checked the location of the object on the instrument panel.
"So fast! Less than three kilometers left!"
Everyone was somewhat surprised, but the object displayed on the instrument panel was even larger than their ship.
"What are you all standing there for! Fire the ammunition now and stop this monstrosity!"
Baldy panicked for a moment. Today was his last shift. It would be such a loss if he died like this. He wanted to live to lead his wives to the underground fortress to survive.
"Damn it! I knew I shouldn't have come! What the hell!"
A glint appeared on the bald man's head; it was sweat from his extreme nervousness. If it hadn't been for the time before he received his identity token, he would never have been intimidated by it. But after the token arrived, he became exceptionally protective of his life, to the point that he couldn't even explain it himself.
As the crew members got busy, the bald man's heart started pounding faster and faster for some reason.
"No! I can't die! I still have to get to the underground fortress! Otherwise, all this time I've fought so hard will have been for nothing!"
Thinking of this, a sinister glint flashed in the bald man's eyes.
"Don't blame me! Everyone better be well! I'm not playing along!"
So the bald man secretly slipped out of the cockpit and ran to the back of the ship.
Almost everyone on the ship went up to the deck to observe the situation ahead. Although the sea breeze was biting, they remained steadfast. Every time they sank a ship, they were essentially eliminating a ship full of competitors, which was definitely good news for them. Moreover, the higher-ups in the black market had promised them that as long as they stayed at their posts, they would receive identity tokens.
They were all on high alert, but their eyes were filled with ruthlessness. They didn't know how many competitors they had eliminated, but they felt that the identity token was getting closer and closer to them, and they couldn't let go of this hard-won opportunity.
So, some people on deck started firing blindly, even though they didn't know where the enemy was. After all, in the pitch-black night, the light was dim, and their vision was very limited. They could only shoot based on their instincts.
Several henchmen saw that the crowd was starting to waste bullets, so they stepped forward to stop them.
"Damn it! We're not there yet! Save your bullets!"
Everyone then realized that they had been nervous, and they put their guns away and stood guard on the ship's side.
After the lieutenants stopped everyone's foolish behavior, they prepared to ask the captain where the strange thing was.
However, after all the ammunition in the ship's hold had been loaded, they discovered that the captain was gone.
"Have you seen Boss Wang?"
The deputy casually grabbed someone and asked.
"Boss Wang? Oh, I just saw him go to the back!"
"Huh? They went to the back?" The second-in-command paused for a moment, then glanced at the back of the ship.
With a "plop," something seemed to fall into the water from the stern. The co-pilot shone his flashlight and saw a small motorboat that had been lowered into the water at some point. A person on board was preparing to drive the boat away. As the light flashed, a glimmer of light appeared on the person's bald head.
"Damn it! He escaped!" the deputy was furious, but there was nothing he could do.
So he had no choice but to crawl into the cockpit.
...
Lu Yuan continued to steer the boat forward. Through his binoculars, he could even see several ships approaching him in the distance.
The prisoner sat on the ground, silently praying. He didn't want to die, but Lu Yuan was now going to drag him down with him, which terrified him. He tried to move his wrist slightly, but found that he couldn't move it at all. The iron chain was tightly binding his wrist, and it was impossible to break free.
Meanwhile, Lu Yuan was humming a little tune as he slowly sailed forward, completely ignoring the ships in the distance.
The prisoner finally made up his mind. He didn't want to die, he didn't want to be a casualty. He was well aware of how great the threat from the pirates was. Although he didn't know what kind of powerful weapon Lu Yuan had, it seemed that Lu Yuan really intended to charge straight in without even bothering to be on guard.
"No! I can't die!"
Finally, the prisoner steeled himself, then slowly squatted down, pressing his arms as hard as possible on the ground while his heels slowly moved backward.
Hearing the commotion, Lu Yuan glanced at the prisoner, who quickly stopped what he was doing, but was inwardly panicked.
"Heh! Let me tell you, you'd better not have any unwise ideas. Just stay here obediently! Once we get ashore, I'll have you lead us to the black market!"
After saying that, Lu Yuan took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, lit one, and put it in the other person's mouth.
"Don't worry, the real show is about to begin!"
The prisoner, a cigarette dangling from his lips, had no expression on his face. Sweat dripped incessantly from his forehead as he tried to stop it, but he couldn't control the turmoil within him.
