Han Wen listened carefully into her earpiece for a long time, and only slowly put the earpiece down after the radio station's audio disappeared.
Lu Yuan looked at her quietly, as if trying to see some good news from her face, but Han Wen's face did not seem to have any good news to say.
"It's bad news, and it's even worse news for us."
"What?" Lu Yuan asked quickly.
Not only Lu Yuan, but everyone else also had a look of fear in their eyes. They never expected things to develop to such an unexpected point. They originally had a few entry identity tokens in their hands, but now it seemed that these identity tokens were useless. They had already closed the gate.
Han Wen's voice was tinged with a sob.
"They...they have sealed off all the roads to prevent the people above from getting in."
"What? They've sealed all the doors shut."
Lu Yuan could hardly believe that the people below could be so ruthless. The underground fortress was meant to give all of humanity one last chance, but he never expected that these people would abandon them directly. There were only a few million people in the entire underground fortress.
Most of the people on Earth are outside the underground fortresses, and if this blizzard were to actually hit, countless people would die.
"That's ruthless. These people are practically driving people to their deaths by eating them."
Zhou Tong spat viciously on the ground and cursed under his breath.
Lu Yuan was in a state of confusion. He had no idea what to do. He held his dimensional space in his hands, but he couldn't protect his family and friends, which made him feel powerless.
Are the other entrances closed now? When will they close?
Han Wen looked at Lu Yuan: "It's not clear yet, but I estimate they'll be working on closing the gates soon!"
Looking at the chaotic crowd in the distance, Lu Yuan suddenly had an idea.
"Since they won't let us in from here, let's find another entrance. I refuse to believe they can close all of these entrances!"
Everyone nodded immediately; they had no other ideas at the moment, and this was the only thing they could do.
Ma Bin stood before him, his eyes vacant, and collapsed to the ground.
"No, no, how could the people in the black market not have a chance to get in! They definitely have a chance, I have to find the people in the black market!"
After saying that, he went crazy and stood up and ran forward, but Lu Yuan grabbed him tightly.
"Let go of me, you fucking idiot! You can't delay my entry into the underground fortress any longer!"
"If you want to die, I won't stop you, but do you think you still have a chance to get in now?"
Ma Bin's eyes were bloodshot. Suddenly, all the strength seemed to be drained from his body, and he collapsed to the ground. He then covered his face with his hands and began to cry bitterly.
Lu Yuan didn't say anything, but gently patted him on the shoulder, then took out a pack of cigarettes and scattered them around.
"Sister Hanwen, keep an eye on this radio signal. Let us know as soon as you get any news. I'll see if I can find the shortest route. Let's go there along the shortest route!"
Han Wen nodded immediately, then put the headset back on and began listening to the signal inside.
Lu Yuan took out a map from his backpack and laid it out on the ground. Xi Wen and Zhou Tong each pressed down on the map and then wrote and drew on it.
“We are in this location now, and the nearest intersection is more than 100 kilometers away as the crow flies! If we just walk there like this, we definitely can’t make it!”
Lu Yuan pondered for a moment: "But we still have a helicopter. At the speed of a helicopter, a distance of 100 kilometers might only take ten minutes! That's enough time for us!"
Upon hearing this, everyone's eyes lit up with a glimmer of hope. Lu Yuan had almost overlooked the flight's departure time.
"Xiaoshan, take good care of Grandpa, Grandma, and the family. I'll go and fly the plane over first! Shiquan, you come with me right now!"
Upon hearing Lu Yuan's shout, Shi Quan, who was standing some distance away, immediately put his hat on and nodded firmly.
So the two of them ran all the way to the beach again.
The sea was still turbulent, and because their previous boats were moored a considerable distance away, no one had yet paid attention to their yacht.
"Let's look around and see if we can find a small boat. If we do, let's meet here right away!"
Shi Quan nodded and walked away from one direction, while Lu Yuan ran to the other side, found a secluded spot, and with a thought, pulled a kayak out of his dimensional space.
After lighting a cigarette and taking a few puffs on the shore, Lu Yuan quickly signaled with a light towards the distance.
Shi Quan quickly ran back, panting heavily. He looked at the kayak moored on the beach and a look of surprise appeared in his eyes.
"Stop talking nonsense and get our plane back right now!"
Shi Quan nodded firmly, and the two of them picked up small oars and began to glide towards their yacht.
The dim seawater pushed their kayak toward the shore wave after wave, and they paddled with all their might. Soon, Shiquan's strength was almost exhausted.
But he gritted his teeth and Lu Yuan reached out and took the small paddle from his hand. He then rowed frantically with both arms, and soon the small boat began to move forward.
