As the bell rang, Lu Yuan stretched.
"Damn! It's finally over! This day is over!"
After saying that, Lu Yuan went to his grandparents and helped them up to return to the camp.
The notebook in Xiaoshan's hand, filled with numbers, caught Lu Yuan's attention.
"What? Still trying to make this food last a month?"
Xiao Shan nodded: "Yes! One hundred pounds of food, and one hundred people have to survive for a month, that means each person only gets one pound of food per month. No matter how I calculate it, I can't imagine how they could make it!"
Lu Yuan laughed and gently patted her head: "Don't think about it! I'll have Brother Zhou go to other camps to inquire if there are any other ways to leave here! Maybe the food problem will be solved when we're in a new place!"
"Ah? Changing locations? That's great!" Xiao Shan looked at Lu Yuan with wide eyes, excitedly.
Shh! Keep your voice down, don't let anyone hear!
"Oh! Hehe! If only we could go somewhere else! I'm so bored here! I want to read a novel again!"
"Okay! I'll ask Brother Zhou to see if he can get you a power bank and a phone!"
"Um!"
The group returned to the camp, and the other groups also returned one after another. The group leaders gathered together to share their day's work, and their faces showed either happiness or envy. Lu Yuan stood at a distance and looked around, and found Liu Dafa's figure among them.
The other person seemed to have noticed that Lu Yuan was looking at him, and nodded from a distance as a greeting. Lu Yuan also nodded slightly, and then turned his head to look at Zhou Tong.
"Brother Zhou, why don't you come over for dinner later?"
Zhou Tong hummed in agreement, then watched as Liu Dafa found their camp before returning to his own tent.
Xiwen was somewhat eager to try, but in the end he sighed and followed them back.
Xiao Shan was in the tent where she kept odds and ends, preparing to take out her food for tonight. Of course, before she even opened the tent door, a strong smell of urine mixed with feces and urine wafted out, making her feel so nauseous that she almost vomited.
"What's wrong, Xiaoshan?" Deng Yuanyuan asked as she saw Xiaoshan covering her mouth and nose and leaving, carrying a basin.
Xiao Shan frowned and pointed at the tent: "Someone is peeing in there!"
"What?" Deng Yuanyuan's eyes widened in surprise, and when she got closer, she smelled a strong stench, just like the stench emanating from an old-fashioned toilet.
"Who did this?"
Xiao Shan shook her head: "I don't know, but they're definitely not from our camp! Let me check if the food inside is still there!"
After saying that, Xiaoshan directly lifted the other side of the tent, and saw that the place where the food was originally piled up had been splashed with a large puddle of excrement and urine mixed with rotten toilet paper. Several holes were cut in the food bags, and murky yellow liquid was dripping down from time to time.
"Go find Lu Yuan!" Deng Yuanyuan stood behind Xiao Shan with a furrowed brow.
"Um!"
Xiao Shan's face flushed red. She always did this when she was angry. She had the kind of gentle, demure personality who wouldn't resort to cursing when something happened, but would try to find a solution. However, she knew without a doubt that this was someone targeting them, so they had to find Lu Yuan for help.
So the two of them quickly arrived at the work tent. Lu Yuan, Du Heng, and Xi Wen were repairing some damaged items inside the tent. After all, many of their things were unusable, and some old chairs and tables were missing parts and completely unusable, so they would come and fix them in their spare time.
When Lu Yuan saw Xiao Shan come in angrily, he was taken aback and then put down what he was holding.
When Du Heng saw that his wife had followed him, he looked up at her. Deng Yuanyuan sighed and didn't say anything, but stood in front of Xiao Shan and tugged at her arm.
The moment Xiaoshan saw Lu Yuan, tears of grievance immediately streamed down her face.
"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" Lu Yuan quickly stepped forward to wipe away her tears.
Then he turned to look at Deng Yuanyuan beside him: "What's going on?"
Deng Yuanyuan's face showed a hint of anger: "Xiaoshan and I were just getting ready to prepare dinner when we found that the food in our tent had been splattered with excrement and urine!"
"What?"
Everyone in the tent put down what they were holding and stood up angrily.
"Who did this?" Xiwen's face flashed with a cold light.
Xiao Shan shook her head, tears welling in her eyes: "I don't know."
Lu Yuan gently patted her back, then gently pulled Xiao Shan into his arms: "It's alright! It's just some food! I'll go think of something!"
After saying that, Lu Yuan looked at Deng Yuanyuan again: "You take Xiaoshan back first! I'll figure something out!"
Deng Yuanyuan nodded, and before leaving, she glanced at Du Heng, who gave her a meaningful look. Then, she took Xiao Shan's arm and left the tent.
As the two left the tent, Lu Yuan's face immediately darkened.
"Damn it! He used dirty tricks! That bastard!"
Xiwen was about to leave when Lu Yuan pulled him back.
Where are you going?
"I'm going to settle accounts with him! That son of a bitch not only cut off our food supply, but he also destroyed our grain reserves! I'm going to fight him to the death! I'll beat that bastard to death!"
"You fucking calm down! What good do you think it would do you to kill him?"
Du Heng, who was standing to the side, nodded calmly and stepped forward to help Xiwen sit down.
