Soon, the robot laid out the food, and Chen Ling picked up a bottle of brandy and poured Lu Yuan a glass.
"Congratulations on becoming my first guest and friend!"
Chen Ling picked up her wine glass, a pleasant smile on her face.
Lu Yuan also picked up his glass and clinked it with the other person's: "Then I am honored to be your friend and your first guest!"
When it comes to drinking, Lu Yuan doesn't really know much about the rules of Western dining; he prefers the Chinese way of eating.
The brandy wine has a slight acidity, but the taste is still quite good.
Chen Ling finished her drink in one gulp and put down the glass. She only took a small sip, but then she saw that Lu Yuan had already finished his drink.
"You...how did you finish drinking it all?"
Lu Yuan was taken aback: "Don't we all finish the first drink? Don't we all finish the first three drinks?"
Chen Ling burst into laughter: "Haha! This is probably a habit from drinking baijiu! Alright! I don't have anything else to do today anyway! I'll just treat this as having dinner with you! I'll finish my drink too!"
After saying that, Chen Ling drank the rest of the wine in one gulp, but her face immediately turned bright red from the alcohol.
"Eat the vegetables! Eat the vegetables!"
After saying that, Lu Yuan picked up the steak knife and prepared to eat it. However, he preferred to eat meat in big bites. He said he was not used to the way Western food was eaten.
"Ahem! I still prefer using chopsticks! Do you have any chopsticks here?"
Chen Ling nodded immediately, then said something to the robot butler. The butler thoughtfully took out a pair of clean white chopsticks from its belly and handed them to Lu Yuan.
"Holy crap! This robot... it's really awesome!"
After saying that, Lu Yuan picked up his chopsticks and started taking big bites of the steak.
"This is how you eat meat! Why don't you try it?" Lu Yuan, his mouth full of sauce, encouraged the other person to eat it this way too.
Chen Ling laughed again when she saw Lu Yuan's mouth full of sauce: "Hmm! I'll try it too! Actually, I'd like to learn from those chivalrous heroes in TV dramas who eat meat and drink wine in big gulps, but I always feel like that's a bit silly."
"What's wrong with that! When it comes to eating, just do whatever makes you feel good! Seriously, try it, it's so satisfying! There's really no need to use a knife and fork!"
Chen Ling nodded, then picked up her chopsticks and, imitating Lu Yuan, picked up a steak, opened her mouth and took a bite. Immediately, some sauce got on the corner of her mouth. She was about to wipe it with a tissue, but then thought about it and didn't move.
"Mmm! It really feels different!"
The two ate and chatted.
Soon, the bottle of brandy was empty. Chen Ling, her face flushed and neck red, looked at Lu Yuan, her eyes flashing with a seductive light.
"Lu Yuan, sit with me a little longer?" Chen Ling tilted her head, leaned on the table, and reached out to pull Lu Yuan.
But Lu Yuan withdrew his hand: "Sorry, we're friends! You promised you wouldn't harm your friends!"
Chen Ling smiled, her eyes full of reassurance: "You're different! You're the first man to pique my interest! How about... I become your lover?"
Lu Yuan rolled his eyes at the other person: "Come on! Don't tempt me! You've had too much to drink! Go to sleep! Don't forget to come to your factory for inspection tomorrow morning!"
After saying that, Lu Yuan stood up and shouted at the robot, "Go and take your mistress to bed!"
When Chen Ling saw Lu Yuan about to leave, she tried to stand up by holding onto the table, but the effects of drinking too much white wine were already kicking in, and she slumped back into her seat, feeling dizzy and lightheaded.
"I don't want a robot to take me in, I want you to take me in!"
"Damn it! Stop tempting me, okay? That's enough for today!"
After saying that, Lu Yuan lit a cigarette and went downstairs without looking back.
As Chen Ling watched Lu Yuan's departing figure, a tear glistened in her eyes.
"How I wish I had a man like that to protect me!"
After she finished speaking, Chen Ling's tears flowed like beads from a broken string.
Lu Yuan went straight to Xiao Shan as soon as he got back to his residence.
Xiao Shan was busy picking vegetables when she saw Lu Yuan return, and a smile immediately appeared on her face.
"You're back! Go and rest! Dinner will be ready soon!"
Lu Yuan was slightly embarrassed, after all, he had just eaten at a woman's place. However, in order to prevent Xiao Shan from finding out, he deliberately lingered outside for a long time before returning.
"Hmm! I'm actually a little hungry! By the way, did Sister Hanwen come back with you today?"
Xiao Shan gently wiped the water droplets from her face with her sleeve and nodded: "Yes! Sister Han Wen came back with me today! I'm going to find her to hang out for a while later! I heard she cracked a new channel! There's even music in it!"
