The woman nodded: "Yes! I'm telling the truth! I'm not lying to you! This place has been abandoned for a long time now!"
"Hmph! Still lying! This is clearly the company where Qin Zheng's wife used to work! And you still say you don't know Qin Zheng?"
Lu Yuan glared at the other woman. He didn't want to hit her, but the man hadn't woken up for a long time, so Lu Yuan didn't have the patience to wake him up. He could only ask the woman some questions.
However, it's clear that what this woman said seems to be the truth, but she seems to know quite little.
Just then, a noise came from the door behind the shelves.
Lu Yuan immediately became alert, holding the dagger in his hand and slowly moved closer to the inside.
A short while later, a light suddenly came on inside.
Lu Yuan crouched down, like a cheetah poised to pounce.
Suddenly, applause came from inside.
"Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! I didn't expect Mr. Lu to find the clue I gave you so quickly! He's definitely no ordinary person!"
Lu Yuan was startled: "Qin Zheng?"
A man in a suit and tie walked out.
It was Qin Zheng.
Qin Zheng held a key in his hand, gently pushed open the door, pushed aside the shelf blocking the doorway, and then walked out.
"President Lu! We meet again! But what I didn't expect is that we met a little too soon!"
Lu Yuan stared intently at the other party, not daring to relax. Clearly, this was a trap set for him, and he had just walked right into it.
"You set me up?"
Qin Zheng shook his head: "President Lu, you're overthinking it. After all, I really can't tell you about my other identity openly!"
Then the other person walked towards the woman and asked, "How is she?"
Upon hearing Qin Zheng's voice, the woman burst into tears again: "He...he's fainted, I don't know how he is!"
Qin Zheng reached out to check the other person's breath, breathed a sigh of relief, and then took out a card from his pocket and handed it to him: "It's nothing serious, go to the clinic to get checked out! There's some money in here!"
The woman took the card, thanked him profusely, and with great effort helped the man up.
Qin Zheng turned to look at Lu Yuan: "President Lu, why don't we go inside and catch up? I happen to be quite interested in you!"
Lu Yuan frowned: "Don't try any tricks! Otherwise, you'll regret it!"
"Haha! Don't worry, Mr. Lu, I mean you no harm. I just want to know a little bit about something!"
After saying that, the other person gestured for them to enter and then walked straight inside.
Lu Yuan followed behind the other person and walked into the dark stairwell.
After passing through several doors, the other party finally stopped in a dimly lit room, reached out and took out a remote control, and pressed a button.
The lights in the room immediately turned on.
Lu Yuan shielded his eyes with his hands, the glaring light making it difficult for him to adjust.
"Please come in!"
Qin Zheng gestured again, pointing towards a large gate.
Lu Yuan nodded and went inside, but he was immediately stunned by the scene before him.
"Zhou Tong? Xiwen?"
Zhou Tong and Xi Wen were tied to chairs, their hands and feet tightly bound, with a tattered cloth stuffed inside. However, they had no injuries. Each of them wore an angry expression and kept making "woo-woo" sounds.
Lu Yuan was about to turn around and stop Qin Zheng, but the other party was already prepared.
"Mr. Lu, please don't get agitated. I had no choice but to do this! You have to believe me!"
"Damn it! You better release my brother first!" Lu Yuan glared at the other party, his dagger only half a meter away from Qin Zheng.
Not far away, several armed men had already pointed their guns at Lu Yuan. If Lu Yuan dared to move again, they would pull the trigger without hesitation.
Qin Zheng smiled and continued, "President Lu, don't worry, your brothers didn't do anything. They just sneaked in, and I was worried there might be some misunderstandings, so I can only ask them to put up with this for now!"
"What the hell do you want?"
Qin Zheng looked at Lu Yuan with a puzzled expression: "President Lu, that's a very strange question. What do you mean by 'what I want to do'? It's you who wants to do what! You were the one who came to me first!"
As he spoke, the other person walked inside.
This is a reception center inside a hospital. The walls around the room are covered with photos of children, but they have turned yellowish over time.
On one of the walls in front, there were some hospital rules and regulations posted. Next to the wall was a reception table with some medical equipment scattered on it.
"Is this the children's health check-up center?" Lu Yuan asked, looking around.
Qin Zheng nodded: "That's right! This is the children's health check-up center, and I'm the person in charge of this center!"
"Hmm? Why isn't it showing up in your profile?"
Qin Zheng smiled and said, "Because I was going to work at Wanwu Biotechnology Company, this identity was very sensitive, so I used my connections to get it removed! But later my wife took care of this matter."
"Mr. Lu, please speak frankly. My time is really tight!"
After speaking, the other person glanced at the time on their watch.
"Half an hour left! I hope we can finish our conversation as soon as possible!"
Lu Yuan sighed, then pointed at Zhou Tong and Xi Wen: "Can you take the filth out of my brother's mouth first?"
