When the helicopter reached the distance that day, Wang Qin's face immediately lit up with a look of wild joy.
"Great! It's finally coming!"
After speaking, Wang Qin looked down at the dimensional crystal in his hand, as if he was about to discover its secrets.
Wang Qin waved frantically in the direction of the plane when he suddenly felt as if something below was staring intently at him.
"Huh? What's going on? Could it be that the super mutant can break out?"
Wang Qin didn't think much of it and focused all his attention on the plane.
At that moment, Shen Hu and the others had just intercepted the super mutant using lasers, but unexpectedly, the power suddenly weakened considerably.
The laser's brightness dropped instantly, and everyone felt that the super mutant was getting closer and closer to them.
"Oh no! Could it be that Wang Qin lost power?"
Shen Hu dragged his injured body around, looking at his surroundings.
Suddenly, a roar came from afar, emanating from a super mutant.
"Oh no! The super mutants are about to break in! We have to get up there right now!"
So everyone quickly ran upstairs.
Just as everyone reached the upper floor, a large wave of super mutants suddenly appeared in the corridor of the laser.
These super mutants are different from the previous ones because each of them has an unusual red light in their eyes.
"These super mutants don't seem to be from the first phase of experiments?"
A soldier muttered something under his breath, but Shen Hu still heard it.
Shen Hu was quite uncomfortable with their use of mutants as test subjects, and immediately grabbed the other person by the collar.
"What did you say?"
The other person tensed up, looking at Shen Hu and whispering, "I... I said those mutants weren't from the first phase of the experiment..."
Shen Hu's eyes flashed with a fierce light: "I don't want to hear anyone call mutants 'experimental subjects' anymore! Do you hear me?"
The other party quickly nodded, knowing that Shen Hu and the others were all mutants, so they had no choice but to back down for now.
"You just said they weren't in the first cohort? How did you know that?"
The soldier thought for a moment and replied, "Because...because the eyes of the first-generation super mutants are empty black, the eyes of the second-generation super mutants are normal color, and the eyes of the third-generation super mutants are red!"
Another commotion broke out in the crowd.
Several people pointed at the super mutants below and said, "Look! These guys have eyes of all colors! And there's one I recognize! He's a second-stage mutant!"
Shen Hu's heart tightened instantly: "Could it be... that Wang Qin has released all the super mutants? Just how many mutants are there?"

Upon hearing this, Shen Hu was immediately shocked. More than 10,000 people had been turned into mutants. This Wang Qin was simply treating human life like dirt, not as human beings, but as experimental subjects. Shen Hu himself never dared to imagine that he had brought in 10,000 people. After all, 10,000 people was no small number. There were only a few million people in the entire Phase III Fortress.
"Damn it! How could they be so utterly depraved!"
Then Shen Hu looked down and saw that the super mutants below were constantly searching for the group's location. Fortunately, they had taken cover in time and were not in any immediate danger. However, this situation could not continue indefinitely, as the area was a maze of interconnected pathways and there were bound to be several places that led to this location.
After a moment of contemplation, Shen Hu addressed the crowd, "Do you want to live or fight these super mutants to the death?"
Almost everyone chose to live, since fighting to the death with these super mutants is definitely not something a sensible person should do.
"Since we're trapped here and want to live, everyone, search every nook and cranny of this place immediately and destroy all the passageways! Prevent the super mutants from getting in!"
"You lot! Go this road! Destroy the easiest parts to deal with!"
"You lot! There's a metal frame on the way to the lab! I don't care what method you use, you have to destroy the road!"
"And you guys, go to the outer perimeter and block the entrance!"
Shen Hu quickly arranged everything. Fortunately, no one had any opinions of their own, so they could only follow Shen Hu's orders.
Then each group immediately set off with their people to get things done.
As Shen Hu watched everyone busily getting to work, and then looked up at the super mutants wandering around nearby, he felt extremely panicked.
These damn super mutants, I wonder how long they'll keep us trapped!
At that moment, the helicopter in the sky was getting closer and closer to the nuclear power plant's chimney, and the co-pilot was observing the terrain while looking at the crowd gathered below.
"Captain, should we take cover?"
The captain glanced down at the situation below, a hint of disdain on his lips.
"Do these poor folks really think they can even touch our plane? You're kidding! Keep flying!"
After saying that, the captain adjusted the direction and began to slowly descend toward the exit of the chimney.
Han Wen and his group stood below, not knowing where the plane had come from, so they dared not make any rash moves.
"Observer! Can you make out who's up there?"
The observer on the side, holding binoculars, looked utterly helpless.
"I can't see clearly. There's too much smoke up there, and the helicopter's wings are causing a lot of turbulence, so I can't see the people up there!"
