Chapter 605 Xiao Shan regains her memories

The assistant sighed and eventually left the office.

At this moment, in the restricted area at the entrance and exit of the urban area.

Several figures flashed by in the dim light.

The searchlight's bright beam swept across the road, and the guard standing atop the tower yawned, glancing down at the time.

"Ugh! One more hour until the shift change, I'm so damn sleepy!"

Then he turned his back and checked in another direction.

At that moment, several places hidden in an open space, blending into the ground, suddenly moved.

Hei Zi looked up at the trail of the searchlight in the distance, then said to the people beside him, "Did you bring everything?"

The man next to him patted the package on his chest: "Don't worry, Blackie! I've got everything!"

"Yes! The thickness of the concrete inside has been measured; it's about five meters, but we only have one hour! We have to finish it before their shift changes! If we fail, we're really doomed!"

Everyone nodded, their eyes filled with determination.

"Brother Hei! Don't worry! We all came out with you. If you can't even handle this little problem, we won't tell anyone about you anymore and you'll embarrass us!"

"Yeah, Blackie! We've really pulled out all the stops to get this concrete grade! We'll definitely get it!"

Hei Zi looked at everyone: "I don't know if what I did was right or wrong this time, but I just hope we can find Lu Yuan. Three days from now, you all wait here. If I don't come back..."

At this point, Kuroko turned his head and looked in the direction of the middle floor.

Then, with an endless self-mockery on his face, Hei Zi said, "You guys can tell Chen Yan later that I'm not a coward! I died for her sweetheart!"

A wave of sighs swept through the crowd, and they could only express their regret for the relationship between Hei Zi and Chen Yan.

After waiting for a minute, Hei Zi looked at everyone and said, "Give me the stuff! I have to go! You guys need to keep everyone's attention! Give me five minutes!"

Everyone nodded immediately, and the person next to Hei Zi handed him a package.

"Brother Hei, we're waiting for you to come back!"

Hei Zi glanced at the other person and lightly punched him on the shoulder: "I'm lucky to be alive!"

After saying that, Hei Zi seized the opportunity and dashed out like a cheetah in the night.

The others immediately took out some remote controls, keeping a close eye on Hei Zi's movements.

When they saw that Hei Zi had entered the vicinity of the gate, the group exchanged glances, and someone pulled out a gun and fired in the direction of the searchlight.

With a loud "bang," the searchlight's light immediately went out.

Immediately, alarms blared throughout the entire camp.

The observer on the observation platform, who had been looking sleepy, suddenly perked up, like a dog whose tail had been stepped on.

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"

He shouted desperately.

Suddenly, a series of explosions occurred inside a protective wall.

A huge flame shot into the sky, and the people in the camp surged forward like a tide.

"Fire! Fire!"

"Be on alert! The enemy might come from this side of the protective wall! Get all the men here!"

"Backup lighting!"

"..."

Although the camp was in chaos, they still began to carry out protective measures in an orderly manner, which was clearly the result of a long period of coordinated training.

Hei Zi lay on an open space by the gate, his clothes blending in with the surrounding scenery like a chameleon.

He didn't move; he was waiting for the right moment.

Finally, a group of people drove up to the gate and shouted to the people above, "We just found some clues outside! Open the gate immediately!"

Upon hearing their words, the people on the protective wall immediately opened the gate.

Cars drove off one after another, but what they didn't notice was a fleeting shadow that darted in like a ghost.

When the last vehicle drove out of the camp, the gatekeeper closed the gate again.

Kuroko lay down on the ground again, motionless.

After the security guard adjusted the lights, Hei Zi immediately stood up and ran towards the distance.

After passing through the densely packed tent area, Kuroko finally arrived at the place where several checkpoints had once been set up, but now it had long been sealed off with gray-black concrete.

Thirty meters away from these concrete structures, a wire mesh fence was erected, and outside of that, there was a pool of water made of bricks and concrete.

The pool is large, but it's completely empty. They're using it as an alarm system; should the concrete wall collapse and leak, they'll immediately plug it to prevent flooding into the city.

Hei Zi stood outside watching for a long time before finally climbing up quietly.

Upon reaching the barbed wire fence, he double-checked that there were no alarm devices on it before taking out pliers and beginning to carefully cut open the bottom of the fence.

To avoid attracting their attention, Hei Zi chose a very tricky spot to cut the wire mesh; as long as it was fixed underneath, they wouldn't notice it at all.

Hei Zi moved quickly, and in no time he cut a hole about one meter long, then lifted the barbed wire and crawled inside.

Reaching out to touch the somewhat cold wall, Kuroko sighed softly.

Brother, I did this to salvage my pathetic love! Sigh! I hope you're still alive! I hope Yanzi won't see me as a coward anymore! I'm not a coward! I'm a man with a brain!
