Some people suggested that simply opening a small enough opening in the termite nest to allow a car to pass through would suffice, but the expert team argued that the number of termites was simply too large, and that it would be best to expand the area to prevent the termites from rebuilding the nest in a short period of time.
After some discussion, everyone decided to vote by raising their hands.
The attendees were divided into three factions. One faction, led by Chu Jialin, was a radical group that advocated opening a small opening to enter rather than destroying the entire anthill.
After all, time and fuel are limited, and they can't afford to waste a lot of fuel and time here.
Another group of experts supports destroying all termite nests to reduce the termite population and avoid having to deal with subsequent issues when the next wave of troops arrives.
Finally, there is another faction that is considered a swing vote. Wang Zhen is a member of this faction. They basically have no opinions of their own and vote for whoever they have a good relationship with.
The experts ultimately prevailed in the meeting, which greatly angered Chu Jialin.
However, since the plan was selected at the meeting, everyone began to assign tasks.
Each group is responsible for one location, and each ant nest is about fifty meters long. There are a total of seven groups, plus a logistics group.
Chu Jialin was very reluctant to let Wang Zhen's logistics team come along, since their actions had seriously affected the team's plans.
Unfortunately, Wang Qin insisted on participating in this mission, and almost everyone agreed.
So, Chu Jialin returned with a mission.
"Old Tian, you and your team will take charge of the middle section! The rest of you will take care of the edges!"
Lu Yuan had no objections, nodded slightly, and then led his men to begin preparations.
The seventh group was responsible for the middle part of the ant nest. This area was rugged and uneven, and the ant nest was usually the thickest in the middle, making it the most difficult to dig.
Chu Jialin also drew this place in the lottery, and he was quite helpless when he saw that he had drawn this place.
Everyone got busy with their tools, and the water truck started by spraying water on the surface of the ant nest.
Behind them are the flamethrower team members preparing. Once a large number of soldier ants swarm out, these flamethrower team members will immediately step in to ensure everyone's safety.
To prevent the tanker truck from overheating, Lu Yuan had it driven a hundred meters away, a distance that could be covered in seconds without being affected by the temperature at the scene.
After the water truck moistened the surface of the ant nest, the group took shovels and began to dig it up.
All the work is proceeding in an orderly manner.
The other groups followed suit, since Group 7 was the most experienced in this task, although some of their imitations were a bit off.
In order to complete the mission as quickly as possible, Chu Jialin went to other teams to provide guidance.
After working for about ten minutes, Lu Yuan was a little tired, and Zhou Keke took his shovel and continued working.
Lu Yuan opened the water bottle and took a small sip of water through the straw inside his helmet.
Then he looked around.
The sky above was still a dark black, the explosion had left the tops of the rocks covered in a layer of black ash.
There aren't many termites left on the ground nearby, but there are still a few sporadic termites trying to attack humans.
Lu Yuan looked towards the other groups, when suddenly a puff of smoke came over, and Lu Yuan frowned.
"Damn it! Someone's smoking again! Does this guy have a death wish?! Smoking right in front of a tanker truck!"
After saying that, Lu Yuan gently patted Zhou Keke's shoulder to indicate that he would go over there and tell him to focus on his work.
Zhou Keke nodded and continued working, but she also glanced in the direction Lu Yuan had walked.
Chu Jialin was giving instructions to Group Six, but the group leader was clearly not appreciative and looked impatient.
"Alright, Lao Chu, you should go back now! We know what to do!"
Seeing their reaction, Chu Jialin was also a little angry: "Damn it! I came here to help you! Look at you guys, the tanker truck is so close to you! And the temperature is already so high! Don't you know how to cool it down! What if it explodes!"
"And you lot! Are you out of your minds?! There aren't even any termites yet! What are you doing with those flamethrowers?! Don't you have enough fuel?!"
Chu Jialin was giving orders that were clearly incompetent, and the leader of Group Six was even more annoyed.
"Old Chu, you should go back now! Your teammates are looking for you!"
Chu Jialin didn't believe it at first, but she looked in the direction the other person was pointing.
Lu Yuanfei walked quickly toward him.
"Alright! I'm not going to waste my breath on you anymore!"
After saying that, Chu Jialin ignored the other person and walked towards Lu Yuan.
"Old Tian, what's going on? Is there some problem on our end?"
Lu Yuan shook his head, then pointed towards the supply team: "See that? Someone's smoking again!"
Chu Jialin was stunned for a moment after seeing this, then cursed, "These bastards! They never learn!"
Then Lu Yuan took out a cigarette butt from his pocket: "This cigarette butt was found in the fire just now! It's for the supply team!"
