"Okay, okay, sister-in-law, I'll go right now!"
So Wang Mingming quickly ran towards the cafeteria, while Xiao Shan walked as fast as she could towards Qiao Ke's office.
Upon arriving at the office, Xiao Shan didn't knock. Instead, she gently opened the door. When Qiao Ke turned around and saw that it was Xiao Shan who had come in, a look of panic immediately appeared on his face.
"That sister-in-law... Brother Lu is already asleep."
Xiao Shan waved her hand gently: "You can go out now, I'll just take up your office for a bit!"
"It's alright, sister-in-law, you can take as much time as you want!"
After saying that, Jock quickly left the room, looking slightly embarrassed, because his office was really messy, with cigarette butts and other clutter everywhere.
Xiao Shan didn't care about any of that at the moment. She gently squatted down in front of Lu Yuan, then took Lu Yuan's hand and placed it on her already protruding belly.
"Lu Yuan, thank you for your hard work!"
Looking at Lu Yuan, the sweat on his face was still wet, and his body was soaking wet, giving off a foul smell.
My hair looks like it hasn't been washed for days; it still has a bit of oil and dirt on it.
Xiao Shan reached out and carefully removed the debris from Lu Yuan's head, then sat quietly to the side.
Lu Yuan had no idea how long he had been asleep when he suddenly woke up with a start.
"Damn it, Wang Mingming, why the hell didn't you call me? Oh crap, this is bad!"
After saying that, Lu Yuan quickly rubbed his eyes.
Only then did he realize that the person sitting next to him was not Qiao Ke or Wang Mingming, but Xiao Shan.
Xiao Shan's eyes were slightly red, filled with concern and heartache.
"You're so tired, it makes me feel so bad!"
Xiaoshan had been trying her best to stop herself from crying, but tears eventually streamed down her face.
Once she started crying, the tears just wouldn't stop falling.
Lu Yuan felt a pang of heartache when he saw Xiao Shan crying. He was about to reach out and wipe away her tears, but when he raised his hand, he found that his hands were covered in dirt, so he wiped them on his clothes instead.
"Okay, honey, stop crying. If you keep crying, it makes me feel bad too. I'm fine, see? I'm perfectly alright."
"Lu Yuan, after we leave here, how about we live on our own from now on?"
Xiao Shan had already figured it out. In the short few minutes she had been sitting in front of Lu Yuan, she had already made a decision in her heart.
She didn't want Lu Yuan to be a savior; she just wanted him to stay by her side and for the three of them to live a good life together.
She was content with just being a good wife and mother, and Lu Yuan taking care of household chores. As for other things, she felt that Lu Yuan had already done enough, saving millions of people and now helping them build their own cities.
Everything is proceeding smoothly, and Lu Yuan is still busy with the rescue efforts. She feels that Lu Yuan has done far too much.
Lu Yuan sighed, then gently pulled Xiao Shan's hand and said, "Okay, I promise you, once we get back and find a suitable place to settle down, we'll start our own little life."
Xiao Shan nodded frantically, and then, ignoring how dirty Lu Yuan was, she buried her head in her arms.
When Lu Yuan saw that Xiao Shan was already nestled in his arms, he no longer cared how dirty he was and gently stroked Xiao Shan's back.
"I'm so sorry to have kept you waiting for so long!"
"I will definitely stay by your side from now on. As for what happens outside, let them handle it!"
"From now on, you, me, and our child will live our own lives as a family of three. I will be responsible for supporting the family, and you will be responsible for taking care of the child!"
"From now on, the three of us will never be separated again!"

Lu Yuan sat to the side, muttering to himself, while Xiao Shan listened quietly, holding Lu Yuan tightly around the waist, seemingly not intending to let him leave.
Just then, footsteps sounded outside, and Wang Mingming came in carrying a meal she had gotten from the cafeteria.
"Hmm, why does it smell like food?"
Xiao Shan got up from Lu Yuan's arms and gently straightened her clothes.
"You haven't had a proper meal in a long time, have you? I asked Wang Mingming to get you something to eat. Eat first before you go back, it won't take up much time!"
Lu Yuan rubbed his stomach and suddenly felt a surge of hunger. He quickly nodded and shouted outside, "Alright, hurry up and bring the food in, I'm starving!"
After saying "Oh," Wang Mingming immediately carried the tray in.
"Brother Lu, take your time eating. I asked the cafeteria to get you some other food. I'll go get it for you now!"
Lu Yuan shook his head and took the plate. He first took out a chicken leg and took a big bite. He immediately felt refreshed. He mumbled to Wang Mingming, "It's okay, I'll just eat some. By the way, how's the drone preparation going?"
Standing outside, Jock quickly said, "The drone is ready, and the rope is ready too! Brother Lu, I'll go with you this time; the drone is quite difficult to operate!"
"No need, there are still many things to do at the company. Just find someone for me!"
"Okay, I'll arrange it for you right now, Brother Lu, please enjoy your meal!"
Xiao Shan sat to the side and took out a clean handkerchief to help Lu Yuan wipe the dirt off his face. Lu Yuan kept stuffing the food from the plate into his mouth, and soon the mountain of food in his hand was gone.
