Chapter 736 The Pain of Being Unable to Communicate

Zhou Tong was about to take out the pistol from his pocket when suddenly, with a "whoosh," an arrow shot out from a distance, landing less than a centimeter away from his hand.

"Holy crap! Old Zhou! Don't make a move yet! Let's see who these people are!"

Zhou Tong also realized the danger, because the arrow he had just been shot with was pitch black and looked like it had been poisoned. If he had been hit, he might be a corpse by now.

Then, these people gathered around, and one of them, a tall man, came up and started mumbling something in a language that Lu Yuan couldn't understand.

The other person looked Lu Yuan up and down, then pointed to the rifle Lu Yuan was carrying on his back and beckoned.

You want this?

Lu Yuan looked at the other person and asked.

The other person nodded: "Huji!"

Lu Yuan saw an unyielding look in the other person's eyes, so he carefully took the rifle off his back. He didn't dare to move too quickly, mainly because there were still more than a dozen archers nearby aiming at him.

Then, Lu Yuan used a clever trick and broke the trigger of the rifle with his hand. Because he was very strong, it wasn't too difficult for him to break something made of steel.

The other person took the rifle from Lu Yuan and carried it on his back with satisfaction, seemingly having no intention of taking it off.

Then the other party waved to the crowd behind him, and immediately several men with spears rushed over and tied the two of them up.

What should we do next?

Zhou Tong shouted anxiously at Lu Yuan.

Lu Yuan smiled slightly: "It's alright, I haven't seen anyone in a long time! It's a good opportunity to see what these savages are all about!"

"What if they kill us?"

"It's alright, don't worry! The fact that they haven't killed us yet means they're not ready! Even cannibal tribes have to perform some kind of ritual or dance before killing their prey!"

"Alright! I hope you're not wrong! Otherwise, it would be a huge loss if these savages really wiped us out! You'd better be careful!"

"Okay! You be careful too!"

So, the two of them chatted as they were escorted away to a distant place.

The road was covered in ice and snow, making it very slippery, so the group did not move very fast.

Lu Yuan followed them slowly forward, secretly wondering about their origins.

"There are many indigenous people in the Americas. Could we have run into some of them?"

Zhou Tong's hands were tied behind his back, and a helpless expression appeared on his face. He had just tried to take out the dagger from his back pocket to cut the ropes, but the dagger had been taken from his waist at some point, and the ropes binding him were so strong that he could not break free at all.

"I guess so! But what I'm really curious about is how these indigenous people have managed to survive?"

Lu Yuan shook his head: "I don't know. If they were to take us to their tribe, we would probably know why they have been able to survive!"

So the two were escorted away into the distance.

After walking for more than ten hours, Lu Yuan was almost tempted to escape with Zhou Tong, but the leader in front suddenly stretched out his arm, signaling everyone to stop.

Lu Yuan looked up and saw a cluster of small wooden houses in the distance.

"Holy crap! No way! They even have a place to stay!"

"What...what's going on? Could it be that they've been living in this wooden house all along and escaped all these years of disaster?"

Zhou Tong was puzzled, because he couldn't see a single sign of injury on these savages.

As they were talking, a shoving came from behind, and then Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong were pushed into one of the small wooden huts.

With a "bang," the door slammed shut. Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong exchanged a glance, feeling both curious and shocked.

"How strange! How could they possibly have survived to this day?"

"Yeah! I'm a little curious! Old Zhou, are you hungry?"

Zhou Tong nodded: "I am a little hungry! But the rope is tied up!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhou Tong felt a lightness on his wrist, and then the rope disappeared without him noticing.

"Hehe! With the ability to manipulate space, these ropes are completely useless to us! Let's eat something first and see what they're up to!"

Next, Lu Yuan retrieved some food from the dimensional space.

After walking for more than ten hours, Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong were starving, so they picked up their food and started eating. What shocked them was that the people outside had been traveling for more than ten hours without eating a single bite, and they had actually managed to survive.

Just then, footsteps sounded outside.

"Damn it, quickly pack your things! Someone's coming!"

Then, the two hurriedly packed up their things, and then leaned against the wall with their hands behind their backs.

With a creak, the door opened, and a man with his face painted with greasepaint placed two wooden bowls in front of the door, then uttered a series of words.

The room was then closed again. Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong exchanged a glance, and then looked into the wooden bowl and saw that there were two palm-sized pieces of meat inside.
