Then the two of them, gesturing wildly, said a series of things to the chief and the old man behind them.
The chief, wearing a huge crown, walked over and opened the slowly closing gate with a gray scepter in his hand.
Lu Yuan sat against the corner of the wall with a puzzled expression on his face. He didn't know what these people wanted to do, but he could guess that Zhou Tong's disappearance seemed to have made them very unhappy.
The chief, his face contorted with anger, walked up to Lu Yuan, pointed his scepter at him, and began to rattle off a string of words. Lu Yuan stared at him, completely bewildered.
Just then, an old man coughed outside, and then the man walked in.
The chief respectfully stood aside, and then the old man went into the room and first exchanged a glance with Lu Yuan.
When Lu Yuan met the other person's gaze, he could see the depth in their eyes, as if it were an endless starry sky.
The eye contact lasted for a few seconds, but it felt like an eternity to Lu Yuan.
Then the old man withdrew his gaze and looked around the room. The other person then sniffed the room.
The other person then walked up to Lu Yuan and said a series of things, but Lu Yuan still couldn't understand them and could only look at the other person with a puzzled expression.
"Ahem, what are you trying to say? I don't understand! Why don't you try using sign language?"
Lu Yuan was quite helpless and could only use his hands and feet to express his thoughts to the other party.
The old man remained silent for a long time, a hint of doubt on his face.
After a long while, the old man took his scepter and drew a "1" on the ground, then drew another "1" next to it.
Then the other person drew a circle on a "one" next to them.
Lu Yuan chuckled. "Oh, you're asking about this person! Sorry, I fell asleep last night! I don't know where he went!"
After saying that, Lu Yuan shrugged helplessly.
A hint of helplessness and anger flashed in the old man's eyes.
Then, as if he were angry, he started shouting and yelling at everyone around him.
Everyone around them lowered their heads and dared not speak.
The chief, standing to the side, seemed to make a very difficult decision after a moment of contemplation.
After speaking to the old man for a while, he waved to the people outside, and immediately more than a dozen people stood up.
A flash of anger crossed the old man's face. He slammed his scepter hard on the ground, seemingly disagreeing with the other party's decision.
The chieftain's face immediately showed a hint of anger. He walked up to Lu Yuan, drew a dagger from his waist, and held it to Lu Yuan's neck.
Lu Yuan was startled and was about to enter the dimensional space when the old man beside him suddenly shouted loudly.
Then the other party took out his scepter and slammed it hard into the chief's hand, causing the dagger in the chief's hand to fall to the ground.
Lu Yuan finally breathed a sigh of relief.
After circling the room twice, the old man nodded to Lu Yuan, then left the room with his hands behind his back.
Lu Yuan was somewhat surprised, wondering what the other party meant by glancing at him, but then the chief grabbed Lu Yuan's shoulder.
Lu Yuan could only obediently follow the old man.
After following the other person for a few minutes, they finally arrived at another wooden house. The old man nodded to the person next to him, who immediately took out a key from his waist and opened the door.
Lu Yuan then noticed that these locks were different from the locks he usually saw. They looked like antiques from a long time ago, and he seemed to have seen these locks on TV before.
Lu Yuan was somewhat surprised. Then, inside the wooden house, he saw half a piece of meat hanging from the roof beam, but he didn't know what kind of animal the meat came from.
The meat looked grayish, unlike the color of meat I've seen before, and it didn't look like pork, beef, or lamb ribs, because the size of these ribs was enormous, about three meters long.
Then, the old man pointed to the rib with his scepter, said something to Lu Yuan, and then pointed to the fire outside.
After thinking for a while, Lu Yuan secretly made a guess.
"Do you think that just because someone ran away, you'll have nothing to eat?"
After saying that, Lu Yuan made a eating gesture.
The old man thought for a moment but then shook his head.
Then Lu Yuan pondered for a moment and said, "Don't you have anything to eat right now? Are you going to pray to God for food?"
After saying that, Lu Yuan pointed to the sky and said, "That's right, GOD! GOD!"
A hint of doubt flashed in the old man's eyes, as if he did not understand the meaning of the English word.
Lu Yuan was helpless. It was really too difficult for two people who didn't understand each other's language to communicate. After talking for a long time, Lu Yuan still didn't understand what the other person meant.
After a moment of contemplation, the old man took out a piece of parchment and nodded to the person beside him.
The other person immediately took out some oil paints from their bag and began to paint on the parchment. Lu Yuan stood aside and quietly watched the other person paint.
It must be said that this person's painting skills are quite good; in no time, a series of images appeared on a piece of parchment.
