Upon hearing the high priest's words, Lu Yuan frowned.
"Fang Yuan, tell him that we urgently need to reach our habitat as soon as possible and can't waste any more time! Ask him how long it would take if we waited here!"
Fang Yuan immediately nodded and then translated Lu Yuan's words to the High Priest.
After listening, the high priest's face turned serious, and his voice rose several decibels, clearly indicating his displeasure.
Seeing the other person's expression, Lu Yuan knew that the other person must be a little angry, but what he was thinking about now was to reach the Amazon rainforest as soon as possible, otherwise he might not be able to complete his mission before the moon fell.
Even if they arrive at their destination now, they won't have enough time to deal with the lunar calamity, so every day is extremely precious to Lu Yuan.
He originally planned to fly there, but their current location was uncertain. These ancient Native Americans had no concept of direction; they only knew which way to go when they arrived at a certain place.
Fang Yuan glanced at Lu Yuan and continued translating the high priest's words.
"The high priest said he's calculated this divination several times already, and it's always the same! If you don't listen, how will you take responsibility if problems arise?"
Lu Yuan glanced at the high priest and, sure enough, saw a hint of anger in his eyes.
After sighing, Lu Yuan said to Fang Yuan, "You should first tell the High Priest that I need to discuss this matter with everyone! Right now, he's just saying to wait here, but we can't afford to wait any longer!"
After Fang Yuan translated Lu Yuan's words, the High Priest shook his head helplessly and said something.
"The high priest said that all we can do now is wait! Because he can't predict the ominous signs either, we can only wait."
Hearing this, Lu Yuan felt speechless.
"Alright! I'll go discuss it! You all continue to keep watch and continue to rest!"
After saying that, Lu Yuan turned around and left, then walked to Zhou Tong's car and gently opened the door.
Upon seeing Lu Yuan approach, Zhou Tong turned his head and noticed the helplessness on his face, so he asked, "What's wrong?"
Lu Yuan sighed, took out a cigarette from his seat, and put it in his mouth.
"The high priest just said that our convoy might need to stop for a while!"
Zhou Tong didn't react much after hearing this: "Oh, are we going to continue looking for the way?"
“If we were walking, I wouldn’t have come looking for you. The high priest said that after some divination, he felt that this place was extremely inauspicious, so we must stop and wait for the ominous signs to pass before continuing!”
"What?"
Zhou Tong was stunned for a moment after hearing this. He turned to look at Lu Yuan and said, "If we wait until the fierce appearance has passed before leaving, how long will that take?"
Lu Yuan flicked his cigarette ash helplessly: "We'll leave when this is all over, and besides, he doesn't even know when it will happen!"
"Then how long do we have to wait?"
"Who knows? That's why I wanted to discuss it with you all! Let's see if we should listen to his suggestion!"
Zhou Tong also fell into deep thought. After stubbing out his cigarette, he pondered for a moment and said, "I think we should leave first. If we keep waiting like this, we don't know when we'll reach the Amazon!"
"That's what I meant too, but I just mentioned it, and it seems like things aren't that simple. Besides, they've survived so many disasters over the years. If we don't listen to them, and something dangerous happens ahead that causes casualties, it would be a huge loss!"
"But... if we don't leave, we'll waste too much time, and we'll be finished when the moon falls!"
"Let's go back to the dimensional space and discuss it with everyone to see if we can come up with any solutions!"
Zhou Tong was silent for a moment: "Why don't we ask the High Priest first and see what he means? This ominous sign must mean something is about to happen. Is it about a disaster or a monster? If it's a disaster, then we can only wait. If it's a monster, with so many of us, it shouldn't be a problem to let these monsters down!"
"Hmm, that works too. Let's go ask the High Priest and see what he can divination!"
So the two got out of the car again. Lu Yuan found Fang Yuan and came to the car where the High Priest and the others were. When the High Priest saw Lu Yuan coming, he was obviously still a little angry.
Seeing the other party's reaction, Lu Yuan didn't say much, but simply told the other party his thoughts. Not long after, the high priest took out his tortoise shell again.
Lu Yuan turned to look at Fang Yuan, who shrugged slightly: "The High Priest probably means that you should see his divination with your own eyes!"
"But after seeing his divination, I couldn't understand anything either. Only he himself can understand this stuff!"
Then there was a loud bang, and a fire broke out in the distant pile of firewood.
The high priest muttered incantations, held the tortoise shell, walked around the fire a few times, then squatted down and slowly placed the shell on the fire to set it ablaze.
A short while later, a cracking sound came from inside the tortoise shell.
Then the high priest, disregarding the heat, reached out and picked up the tortoise shell, handing it to Lu Yuan.
"The message displayed on the tortoise shell is extremely ominous!"
Fang Yuan said, following the direction the high priest was pointing.
Lu Yuan looked down and saw several cracks on the bottom of the tortoise shell, while the top was completely black, making it very different from the other tortoise shells.
