Chapter 754 The Insane Concentration Camp

Lu Yuan lay prone in the snow, quietly watching more than a dozen people suddenly appear from the darkness in the distance.

No one took any action, because according to Zhou Tong, their goal was not to kill these people, but to find out where they came from.

More importantly, it is necessary to find out what country these people are from, because they are not even sure if these people are from the United States.

The soldiers in the distance slowly approached the bombed area, but they moved very carefully, with a great distance between the front and rear squads.

At that moment, a deep voice came from the walkie-talkie.

"There's a sniper at nine o'clock! Everyone, don't come out! They won't be able to spot us if we stay hidden in the snow!"

After hearing this, Lu Yuan immediately looked in the direction of nine o'clock, but he couldn't see anything through the night vision binoculars.

Just as Lu Yuan was feeling somewhat surprised, Zhou Tong's voice came through the walkie-talkie.

"Everyone, don't expose yourselves! We're lying in the snow right now, and our body temperature is very low, so they won't be able to spot us! Don't come out until they've finished their inspection!"

A series of responses came from the walkie-talkie, and Lu Yuan responded softly.

There were only a dozen or so of them, and all of them had a look of tension and anticipation in their eyes.

When the soldiers in the distance arrived at the explosion site, they found nothing on the ground except for the snow that had been blown away. Their faces showed surprise.

Then, the leader of the team, holding a communicator hidden in his collar, reported the matter. Shortly after, the action team leader's instructions came through the walkie-talkie.

Lu Yuan and the others were a bit far away, so they had no idea what the others were doing and assumed they were looking for something.

Suddenly, the soldiers began to scatter, forming combat squads of three and searching the surrounding area.

Lu Yuan lay motionless in the snowdrift, his thick cotton-padded clothes offering little protection from the bitter cold.

As he watched three soldiers slowly approaching him from afar, Lu Yuan gripped the dimensional crystal necklace tightly in his hand.

He dared not make any rash moves, because who knew how many snipers were in the distance? If there were several, any sudden movement would surely result in a bullet.

But as the three soldiers drew closer, Lu Yuan's heart pounded faster and faster.

When the three of them were walking on the snow, making a "crunching" sound, they were already less than ten meters away from where they were in the snow. Lu Yuan felt his heart was about to jump into his throat.

He dared not move, because if he did, he might expose that he had other team members, and the operation would come to a complete end.

Then, Lu Yuan secretly reached out and pulled off his dimensional crystal necklace, placing it under the snow to cover it.

If they were to be discovered later, Lu Yuan decided to enter the dimensional space first, as it was the safest place to be. Once inside, they would have no chance of finding him.

Then, the three soldiers stopped abruptly when they reached the snow layer where Lu Yuan was.

Hearing the footsteps suddenly disappear, Lu Yuan's heart began to race. He moved his head slightly, trying to see the situation in the distance more clearly.

However, because his back was against the snow, he couldn't see what was behind him at all.

Have these soldiers discovered me?

Lu Yuan couldn't help but make wild guesses in his mind.

However, to his surprise, a soldier suddenly spoke up.

The authentic American English gave Lu Yuan a headache, because his English level was almost limited to the twenty-six letters of the alphabet and simple words like good morning, good afternoon, and good evening.

As for what they were saying, Lu Yuan could not understand any of them except for one "fuck".

After the three soldiers talked for a while, their footsteps slowly faded away.

Lu Yuan still dared not move, because he couldn't tell how many footsteps there were. He had been too nervous just now, and all he could think about was how to escape their search.

After a few minutes, Lu Yuan heard no more movement, so he mustered up his courage and prepared to go and check the situation.

Suddenly, the walkie-talkie next to his ear rang, startling Lu Yuan so much that he almost dropped it.

"They've already left! Everyone, don't come out yet! I'm going to check the situation!"

Zhou Tong's voice was soft, but very clear, accompanied by the sound of his footsteps.

Lu Yuan secretly glanced in the direction Zhou Tong was, and saw a black figure running swiftly in one direction through the darkness.

Lu Yuan didn't know if it was Zhou Tong, but from the fact that the other person was running quickly with his body low to the ground, Lu Yuan could still tell that it was Zhou Tong.

After a while, Lu Yuan could no longer see Zhou Tong's figure.

Just as Lu Yuan was wondering what to do next, Zhou Tong's voice suddenly came through the walkie-talkie.

"Alright! The person is definitely gone! I'm now at the sniper's location! Everyone is safe now!"

Upon hearing this, Lu Yuan breathed a sigh of relief, only then realizing that his palms were completely sweaty.

After gently wiping the sweat from his hands onto his pants, Lu Yuan walked towards the nine o'clock direction.
