Chapter 762 Unexpected Changes

Upon seeing the densely packed monstrous figures, Lu Yuan was startled.

He quickly went to the room on the first floor and found Zhou Tong.

"Old Zhou, something bad has happened! A monster is coming! Should we hide?"

Zhou Tong had just fired a bullet when he heard the commotion behind him. He turned to look at Lu Yuan and asked, "What? A monster is coming? Who told you that?"

Lu Yuan pointed out the window: "I don't know what those Delta Force people are talking about, but I just happened to see the scene outside."

After hearing this, Zhou Tong felt a sense of foreboding and quickly lowered his body to walk towards another room next to him.

The room's doors and windows were completely broken, and you could see outside just by standing at the door.

The light from the flares has almost faded, and with the last glimmer of light, one can vaguely see countless monsters rushing downwards in the sky.

"ah!"

Another series of pitiful screams came from afar. Zhou Tong quickly picked up the walkie-talkie, not caring whether the Delta Force was listening in on the channel.

"Brothers, how are you all doing?"

A few seconds later, the team members' voices came through the walkie-talkie intermittently.

Hearing that the team members were alright, Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

"Old Zhou, the cactus brother is still with the enemy. Shouldn't we rescue him?"

Zhou Tong nodded heavily, a hint of seriousness in his eyes: "At first I thought this place was outside the monsters' range, but I didn't expect there to be so many monsters left."

After saying that, Zhou Tong looked outside again: "It seems these monsters are coming in with great force and are not to be trifled with!"

"Yes, should we call all our people back?"

After a moment of contemplation, Zhou Tong immediately nodded: "Okay, we need to bring the people back now, otherwise it would be too much of a loss if there are casualties."

Every member of our special forces is a vital asset to us! Given our current capabilities, training a group of such personnel is extremely difficult!

Then, Zhou Tong immediately picked up the walkie-talkie and called his team back through the channel. He didn't care whether his channel was being tapped by Delta Force personnel.

The situation in the United States is not good right now, and some of their team members have been attacked by these monsters, resulting in casualties.

At that moment, about 500 meters away from them, in a house that had collapsed halfway, several people were standing in a dimly lit room. One of the men was tall with long blond hair casually tied back.

There were several other team members nearby, all dressed in Delta Force special operations uniforms, and in front of them was a portable small table with a map spread out on it.

One of the team members was holding a flashlight and using it for illumination.

Morrison, a cigarette dangling from his lips, quietly studied the map. Then, hurried footsteps sounded outside, and a special forces member rushed in, looking flustered.

"Major Morrison, something terrible has happened! Three of our team members have been attacked by monsters and are missing. Another team member has developed extensive ulceration on his body, and I just helped him take care of himself! In addition, three other team members are injured."

Upon hearing his teammate's words, Morrison's eyes immediately showed a serious expression.

"Damn it, why weren't we notified when these monsters came? Why didn't Charles's people warn us beforehand that there would be a monster attack?"

"Those good-for-nothings are definitely slacking off again. Call Charles right now; I want to ask him myself!"

Their deputy quickly dialed the number, and after a few rings, Charles's voice came through.

"Oh, Major Morrison, I suppose you've already resolved that problem by making this call!"

However, Morrison spoke coldly into the phone, saying, "These people are elite troops from China. Why didn't you tell us their identities back then?"

"And now we're facing a large-scale monster attack, and several special forces members have already been killed. You have to give me an explanation for this!"

Charles, who was sitting at his large and comfortable desk, was taken aback when he heard these words. He gently placed the cigar in his hand into the ashtray and then waved to his deputy beside him.

The deputy quickly came over. Morrison covered the microphone, frowned, and looked at the other person: "The monsters have attacked again. Why weren't I notified about this?"

The deputy paused for a moment, then looked into the distance, somewhat bewildered: "General, we haven't received any news about this either. The reconnaissance teams outside haven't found any trace of monsters attacking!"

Upon hearing his deputy's words, Morrison frowned. He waved his hand at the deputy, who understood and quickly left the office to find someone to inquire about the monster.

Morrison then put down the receiver and said apologetically into the phone, "I'm so sorry, Major Morrison, my men didn't inform me about this. I'll have someone investigate right away and will definitely give you a satisfactory answer. How are things going?"

"According to our scouts' report, a large number of monsters have appeared outside, numbering around two hundred. And this is only the information we have so far; we don't know the exact number. We're currently trapped in this town, and we're running low on ammunition. You'd better send a supply unit to deliver some to us!"
