Half an hour later, the tactical tasks were officially agreed upon. Lu Yuan looked around at everyone and nodded to them.
"I hope everyone can return safely. I'll be waiting for your good news in the dimensional space."
Then Lu Yuan patted Zhou Tong on the shoulder: "Old Zhou, take care of the brothers, I'll go in first."
Zhou Tong nodded, and then began to pack up their equipment with the others.
Lu Yuan gently took off his dimensional crystal necklace from his neck and handed it to Zhou Tong.
The next second, Lu Yuan disappeared from everyone's sight. At this moment, the atmosphere in the entire town became even more tense, and bursts of intense gunfire could be heard from outside from time to time.
Zhou Tong and his group were located on the second floor of this small building, a location that monsters were unlikely to invade, so they had not yet been attacked by monsters.
On the other side, where Morrison and his group were, the houses had already partially collapsed, so they were being attacked by monsters much more frequently than they were here.
Two more team members were scratched by the monster, their bulletproof vests were completely torn apart, revealing their bare bones, and they were carried back to the room screaming in agony.
Morrison's expression was grave. He held an M4 standard American rifle in his hand, loading the bullets while asking his deputy questions.
"What's the situation outside? Are the monsters still keeping their eyes on us?"
The deputy was covered in sweat, having just returned from an investigation outside. He was so shocked by what he saw that he was incoherent.
"Yes, there are a lot of monsters outside. I just saw more than three hundred of them. Our house is completely surrounded. Although we can hold them off for a while with our ammunition and firepower, these monsters keep attacking us. If this continues, we will soon run out of ammunition!"
Morrison frowned, turned to look at the other team members, and then shouted, "Each group, report your ammunition status!"
"Primer, I have three loads of ammunition and two grenades left!"
"Lone Wolf, I have two magazines of heavy sniper ammo left, and two magazines left in my pistol!"
"Tiger Fang, I only have one belt left, no, half left, I'm about to run out!"
"..."
Everyone reported their situations, and Morrison could only feel helpless after listening to them.
"Damn it, we only have enough ammo for ten more minutes. If this keeps up, we'll run out of ammo sooner or later! We'll all die here!"
After a moment of contemplation, Morrison immediately shouted to the crowd, "Everyone, conserve your ammunition! Do not use weapons unless the monster has already entered our room! If you are able, use the daggers you have, but save your last two bullets. Understand?"
Everyone agreed, and Morrison picked up his rifle to check his ammunition.
Just then, another mutated lizard monster charged in through the window. It opened its enormous mouth and kept trying to rush inside. Without thinking, Morrison picked up his rifle and fired several shots into the monster's mouth.
Three bullets fired in quick succession struck the monster's mouth, causing the lizard monster to scream in pain and retreat from the room.
Such incidents continue to occur inside this collapsed building.
Lin Qiang, who was tied up in the center, couldn't help but smile slightly after seeing everyone's situation.
"Major Morrison, I think if you give me a knife, I can help you take down these monsters!"
Morrison turned to look at Lin Qiang, then a hint of displeasure appeared on his lips: "Sorry, we're running low on ammunition and can't supply you with any more, not to mention daggers. Remember, you're our hostage now. We'll be using you to exchange for the president of the country later!"
With his hands tied behind his back, Lin Qiang shrugged slightly: "Alright, since you don't need my help, I'm going back to sleep!"
Upon hearing these words, the soldiers became enraged, and one of them stepped forward and kicked Lin Qiang in the stomach.
"return!"
Morrison's face was grim as he shouted at the soldier who was about to continue attacking Lin Qiang.
The soldier turned around, looking indignant: "This kid is dishonest, Major, why don't we take him out?"
However, Morrison shook his head slightly: "No, Freeman is still in the hands of the Chinese. We must use him to exchange for him!"
"But China has no intention of cooperating with us at all. Are we just going to keep this good-for-nothing around?"
Upon hearing this, Lin Qiang couldn't help but feel indignant: "Bastard, who are you calling trash? I think you're the trash! If you've got the guts, let's come out and fight one-on-one!"
Enraged by Lin Qiang's words, the soldier immediately raised his rifle butt and was about to smash it down on his head.
Morrison immediately roared, "Stop! Do you think I can't control you now? This man can't die! Our most important task now is to kill these monsters!"
Everyone lowered their heads, their faces grim as they glared at Lin Qiang. Lin Qiang, however, was not afraid. Although he was a prisoner tied to the ground, he still met their gazes and glared back.
The monsters outside were becoming increasingly ferocious, and not far from them, several people were moving swiftly through the snow.
