To ensure his safety during the mission, Lu Yuan found a rocky beach behind him and hid there.
Looking down at the time, five minutes had passed. The snoring inside the tent seemed to have gotten louder. Lu Yuan waited quietly, when the sound of an explosion came.
He looked towards the termite tent with his night vision binoculars, but there seemed to be no movement inside. Lu Yuan frowned. According to the laboratory environment, a tire blowout would take about ten minutes, and fifteen minutes had passed, yet there was still no sign of it.
"Could it be that the low temperature slows down the expansion of the termite queen's body?"
Lu Yuan secretly guessed when suddenly a sound came from afar, as if someone had smelled something. They began to leave their tents to check.
Seeing these people begin to move, Lu Yuan immediately felt worried.
"Please, whatever you do, don't find the termite queen! Otherwise, if they react in time, the damage won't be so great!"
However, these people only smelled a strange odor coming from the camp. At first, they thought that someone had secretly dragged the corpse in to make it stink, but later they found that the smell seemed unusual and was right in their camp.
Then the assembly bell rang, and the lights all around suddenly came on, allowing Lu Yuan to see the true situation in the tent area.
People filed out of the tents, rubbing their sleepy eyes, seemingly very unhappy about being woken up from their dreams. Several groups even started making a ruckus, creating a noisy atmosphere in the camp.
Five more minutes passed. Lu Yuan thought something had gone wrong and was just about to get up when suddenly a loud explosion was heard in the distance.
With a loud "boom," a strong acidic smell filled the air, followed by screams from the crowd as everyone scattered and fled in all directions.
Lu Yuan could see that all the tents in the camp were blown away in an instant, and people were fleeing in all directions. Some people were covered in green liquid and collapsed on the ground after running only a few steps.
In an instant, as if boiling water, the acid from these termites would release large amounts of steam when it landed on people's bodies and other objects.
Smoke filled the entire camp, and alarms immediately went off. The emergency response team members armed themselves and came to the camp to assess the situation.
Lu Yuan smiled slightly, knowing that the situation was about right. So, taking advantage of the chaos, he once again placed three mutated termites from the dimensional space in several other corners of the camp.
After receiving the injection, Lu Yuan quickly fled the dangerous camp. Whether they could find the termite queen in time was no longer Lu Yuan's concern, because the emergency team was no longer able to attend to anything else.
The chaos within the emergency response team caused chaos throughout the camp, with everyone rushing to see what was happening. Meanwhile, General Charles, sitting in his spacious office, stood up immediately after listening to his subordinates' report, his expression grave.
"You're saying someone fired acidic biological projectiles into our camp?"
"That's right, based on our current investigation, it should be so. The camp is currently on guard in the vicinity. General, would you like us to search the area?"
Charles waved his hand slightly, and after pacing back and forth on his desk in the office a few times, he said: "Okay, immediately allocate manpower to assist the emergency team, and make sure nothing goes wrong."
Also, check the camp to see if any suspicious people have infiltrated. And remember, security at the concentration camp cannot be relaxed; under no circumstances should the prisoners be allowed to escape!
After a series of orders were issued, his adjutant immediately saluted him and then quickly left the office.
General Charles stood by the window and looked into the distance. He saw that the camp was brightly lit and filled with screams. Charles couldn't help but frown.
"Could it be that new monsters have attacked our camp again?"
However, just as he was about to turn his gaze away, another violent explosion suddenly came from the emergency team's camp.
Upon hearing the explosions, Charles immediately realized that something was definitely wrong, so he quickly put on his coat and ran towards the emergency response team.
At that moment, Lu Yuan happened to pass by Charles's command post, and the two met by chance.
Lu Yuan didn't recognize Charles, but when he saw Charles waving at him, he stopped, lowered his hat brim, and saluted him.
Charles, in a standard superior tone, ordered Lu Yuan: "Immediately notify the people at the ammunition depot to distribute weapons and put the entire camp on guard!"
Lu Yuan didn't know what the other person was saying, but he immediately straightened up and saluted like a soldier from the United States.
He was extremely nervous at that moment, and General Charles happened to see Lu Yuan's face through the light. However, when he saw Lu Yuan's face, General Charles suddenly froze for a moment.
"Which squad are you from? I've never seen you before."
Since the other party was speaking English, Lu Yuan had no idea what they were saying. He could only straighten his body slightly, salute the other party again, and shout loudly.
