The entire camp was now in complete chaos. When Charles and his men arrived at the emergency response team's camp and saw the devastation inside, they felt an urge to immediately go berserk.
"Damn it, go check what's going on!"
As wounded soldiers continued to be carried out, Charles's brow furrowed deeper and deeper.
He immediately thought of the situation with Major Morrison.
"Could it be that a new species has appeared?"
Charles then tried to go inside, but was stopped by the team members.
"General Charles, it's very dangerous in there, and there may be some dangerous creatures. It's best not to go in."
Charles frowned slightly, but ultimately did not go in, because the danger inside had exceeded his expectations.
However, some arrangements still needed to be made, so he said to his assistant, "Okay, you guys quickly send someone to our warehouse to see if there are any protective suits. Put them on and let me see what kind of creature or biological/chemical weapon it is."
"We've already sent someone to do it."
The adjutant pointed to a few people not far away who were installing protective valves: "General, we should hurry back to our quarters. It's too dangerous here. We can't be sure if there will be any other attacks."
Charles nodded heavily, then led the group back to his office.
At this moment, Lu Yuan had successfully thrown the entire camp into chaos, and now everyone had no time to pay attention to him.
The armory at the villa remains inactive. The closer it gets to this point, the greater the pressure on them, so almost everyone who enters undergoes a rigorous search.
After observing for a moment, Lu Yuan decided to launch an attack on the concentration camp first. The camp's personnel had already begun to be dispatched outwards, which was a good opportunity for him to take action.
Seeing the troops gathering, Lu Yuan, who was hiding in a dark corner, stepped forward and killed a soldier who was about to assemble. He then quickly changed into the soldier's clothes, carried an M4 rifle, and came to the front of the concentration camp.
Upon reaching the concentration camp, he gently lowered the brim of his hat, nodded to the guards who were chatting, and walked straight in.
The gatekeeper didn't seem to notice anything unusual about Lu Yuan. He simply nodded slightly to him, gave him a greeting, and then let Lu Yuan walk in.
Upon arriving at the concentration camp, Lu Yuan sensed a stench emanating from within. He prepared to go in, but found that there seemed to be more people inside than outside.
He abandoned the idea of rushing in directly, as that would be too dangerous. He glanced at the time; more than ten minutes had passed since he came out from General Charles's place, and it should be about time for the explosion.
As they were secretly making plans, a sudden, sharp alarm sounded, followed by all the lights in the entire camp turning on, and the air raid siren above the searchlight in the center also went off.
Lu Yuan couldn't distinguish what the different alarm sounds meant, but he felt that the chaos in the camp was greater than before after the alarm sounded this time.
"Toot toot toot," a sergeant outside the concentration camp suddenly blew the assembly whistle, and the nearby soldiers immediately came out from their posts, grabbed their weapons, and ran to the front of the concentration camp to assemble.
Lu Yuan was somewhat at a loss. He glanced at the people who were about to assemble, then slipped away and hid inside the concentration camp gate. The camp was pitch black inside, and Lu Yuan would not be discovered at all.
Then came a burst of fierce reprimands from outside, followed by the sound of assembling. Lu Yuan peeked out through the crack and saw the people running out of the concentration camp.
"Great, we finally managed to lure them away!"
Lu Yuan couldn't help but clench his fist, then he quietly took out a flashlight and released the safety on his rifle.
Hold the flashlight in your left hand with it facing forward and towards your right hand, with your fingers pressing against the trigger and the butt of the gun against your shoulder blade.
This combat method allows for the immediate detection of the enemy, successful aiming, and firing of bullets. This is a combat method that Lu Yuan has seen in many movies and TV series, and it is mainly used in situations where the light is not very bright or in enclosed rooms without lighting.
Lu Yuan walked down the long corridor but didn't find anyone. The nearby cells were full of people, but Lu Yuan didn't initially care to see what kind of people were inside.
After inspecting the entire concentration camp and finding no soldiers from the United States, Lu Yuan finally felt relieved.
Suddenly, a hand reached out from behind a railing next to him and grabbed Lu Yuan's ankle.
The next second, Lu Yuan felt cold sweat pour down his back. He quickly pulled his leg out and immediately pointed the gun at the inside of the fence.
Inside the fence, a person was lying on the ground, weakly extending his hand out from behind the fence. He was covered in dirt and was making weak sounds, as if in a dream.
"Help, help me!"
Upon hearing this sound, Lu Yuan shone a light on the man's face. Due to not having bathed for a long time, the man's face was covered in filth, making it impossible to discern his skin color.
So Lu Yuan shone the light on him again and finally saw a patch of skin on the front of his neck.
