Chapter 791 Savages in the Desert

So the two of them turned on the two brand-new computers.

Sun Tao skillfully unlocked the password, a technique that left Lu Yuan somewhat stunned.

"Do all private investigators know how to pick locks and crack codes?"

Upon hearing this, Sun Tao burst into laughter.

"Mr. Lu, have you been watching too much TV? How could all private investigators know these things? Absolutely not! I learned these techniques specifically from Jock! I didn't know them before! But I did want to learn them before!"

After saying that, the other person took the USB drive from their hand.

"I specifically asked Joker for this USB drive; only he could make something like this specifically for cracking simple computer passwords!"

Lu Yuan couldn't help but give Jock a thumbs up in his heart, thinking that if he hadn't discovered Jock, he might be in the dimensional space now, but he would never have achieved what he has now.

They might get arrested for petty theft, since the rules in the dimensional space are very strict now, and if caught, they could very likely be sent out of the dimensional space.

However, the crime rate in the dimensional space is very low now; the police force has only caught a few people so far.

After all, they all came from the apocalypse, and they cherish their current lives. Although the resources they have are still not comparable to those before the apocalypse, the environment is much better now.

Having endured hardship, they were already filled with gratitude towards Lu Yuan, and no one would intentionally cause trouble.

The computer screen took a while to light up because it hadn't been used for a long time, so the battery was completely drained.

Fortunately, a solar panel was found inside the car, so after charging for a while, the computer was able to start normally.

After turning on his computer, Sun Tao began searching for potentially useful information.

After looking at it for a while, Sun Tao shook his head: "The computer is new, it seems to be their spare computer!"

So, Lu Yuan looked at the other person and asked, "Shall we go back now?"

After thinking for a moment, Sun Tao suddenly said, "By the way, I haven't checked the dashcam in the car yet. Maybe we can find some clues on it!"

Next, Sun Tao quickly went to the car and spent a lot of effort removing the dashcam. After fiddling with it for a while, he finally downloaded the route map from the dashcam to his computer.

After watching for a while, Sun Tao shouted excitedly as if he had discovered a new continent.

"I understand! I understand! They're fine! The car must have encountered extreme weather, and they were forced to abandon it and flee!"

After saying that, Sun Tao pointed to a curve on the computer screen with a look of surprise.

“Mr. Lu, look, the car suddenly stopped moving at this spot, and then a few hours later, its position changed drastically. This suggests that a sandstorm may have blown the car to this location!”

Upon seeing this, Lu Yuan was immediately delighted: "Do you know where this car came from?"

While checking the computer, Sun Tao said, "I'm looking for it! Give me two minutes!"

So, Lu Yuan watched quietly as the other person searched, and less than two minutes later, Sun Tao finally raised his head.

"Found it! It's here!"

Then, Sun Tao stood still and looked around, then pointed in the direction of a sand dune in the distance.

"That's it! Those sand dunes weren't there before; they were blown over by the wind and sand due to extreme weather!"

Lu Yuan, however, was somewhat curious: "I haven't noticed any extreme weather in this dimensional space since I discovered it! If it really was a strong wind, other places should have sensed it too!"

Sun Tao thought for a moment before saying, "Perhaps it's because the forest here is so dense that it filters out all the sand and dust! If you don't believe me, you can go and see for yourself in the forest over there. If it's really a sandstorm, there will definitely be a lot of sand in the forest over there!"

Lu Yuan nodded: "Alright, but now is not the time to dwell on this. Let's find Han Wen and the others as soon as possible! Let's go! We'll head over now!"

So, Lu Yuan and Sun Tao headed towards the distant sand dunes.

After crossing the sand dune, which was over a hundred meters high, the view in the distance immediately stunned Lu Yuan.

"Wow! The sand over there is red!"

Sun Tao had clearly never seen anything like this before: "Yes, I didn't expect this dimensional space to be such a magical place. The boundary between the yellow sand and the red sand is so clear!"

After saying that, Sun Tao looked around and said, "It seems the car couldn't have come from that red desert over there! It must have come from these sand dunes!"

After observing the area around the sand dunes for a long time, Sun Tao finally made a new discovery.

The other person stared at a patch of somewhat blackened sand on the ground for a long time, then picked up some sand from behind and smelled it.

"The smell of charcoal! It seems there were signs of life here before!"

Then, the other person searched the vicinity again, while Lu Yuan watched quietly from the side. He didn't understand what the other person was looking for or searching for, and since he couldn't help, he could only watch from the side.
