Lu Yuan suddenly realized what was going on, and at that moment, one of the other party had already run back to the building and told their leader everything he had seen.
However, after hearing his words, the leader was not happy at all. Instead, he raised his hand and slapped the other man hard across the face.
"Damn it, are you out of your minds? How could this possibly be our army?"
The subordinate who had been hit was somewhat bewildered. He covered his face and looked at his leader, asking in astonishment, "But what I clearly saw were our country's tanks. From the muzzle to the track armor, they were all completely American main battle tanks."
"Quickly notify people to come back. This is not the time to talk about this. They may be preparing for a full-scale attack."
As he said this, a look of panic appeared on the middle-aged man's face. He hadn't expected that Lu Yuan and his group would be so powerful that they even had tanks.
However, he still didn't know where their tanks came from.
What puzzled him even more was where the tanks and armored vehicles came from, considering that the roads in this area were not very good. How did they get here so quickly?
Just then, the roar of tank and armored vehicle engines could be heard approaching, and the ground began to tremble. The building they were in was not very sturdy to begin with.
The earthquake had caused cracks in the houses, and as the tanks rolled over them, dust kept falling from the roof beams overhead.
The hundreds of people imprisoned in the room are now terrified. They don't know what has happened. Now, a dark cloud hangs over their hearts: what will their future be like? Will these people use them as cannon fodder?
Everyone couldn't help but squeeze towards the center. Upon seeing this, the people from the United States immediately pulled out a few people and beat them up. Only then did the crowd quiet down a lot, but everyone's eyes were filled with anger and fear.
When the tank was about 100 meters away from the building, it stopped. The armored vehicles behind it immediately surrounded the building, with machine guns pointed at every exit to prevent them from escaping.
The people inside were now in complete chaos; they hadn't expected Lu Yuan to use this method to surround them.
"You're all a bunch of liars! What exactly do you want?"
He had initially thought he could put up a fight against them, but when he saw the armored vehicles and tanks, the leader felt a sudden sense of powerlessness rise in his heart.
Tanks are the kings of the land. No other land-based combat vehicle can rival them.
Moreover, tanks are also killers of infantry, whether in group attacks or single-unit attacks.
A smile appeared on Lu Yuan's face. He glanced at Zhou Tong and said, "Give me the walkie-talkie. I'll say a few words to them!"
Zhou Tong also breathed a sigh of relief, because they hadn't killed any of the hostages yet, so these people were still relatively rational, probably because they were frightened by the tanks and armored vehicles.
Then Zhou Tong handed the walkie-talkie to Lu Yuan.
After taking the walkie-talkie, Lu Yuan adjusted his tone slightly and said coldly, "I already gave you a chance, but you didn't seize it. Since you know we are from China, why do you still dare to act wildly on our territory? Now I'm giving you two choices!"
"The first option is for everyone to lay down their weapons, release the hostages, stand at the door and surrender, and I can give you a chance to live."
"The second option is for us to fight head-on. Of course, you are no match for us. You should be familiar with the equipment on these tanks. If one shell hits, there probably won't be any survivors in the entire building!"
After a long silence in the building, someone finally spoke up: "Aren't you worried that we'll kill these hostages?"
"Hahaha, what a joke! Kill the hostages? Sorry, these hostages are of no use to us. Besides, no one has it easy in this apocalypse. It's better to be alive, and if they die, it's just bad luck!"
The leader, sitting in the dark corner, suddenly felt as if all the strength had been drained from his body. He slumped to the side, constantly grabbing his hair. Now, their only way to survive was to release the hostages and surrender their weapons.
If they surrendered just like that, they might still face certain death. Who knows if the other side would spare their lives?
After all, they knew what they had done. They had used this club to attract and kill countless people. They had survived for so many years, and the number of people killed inside was innumerable.
They were all going to die anyway, and now all the team members started to panic. Some of them grabbed their weapons and shouted that they wanted to rush out and fight them.
Some people were so frightened that they sat down to the side. They were not regular soldiers, but just a rabble. Only the leader and a few of his men were official members of the army.
The two sides are now locked in a standoff, with countless machine guns and cannons pointed at them from outside. If they dare to fire indiscriminately, they will likely face a barrage of fire.
Then the leader, supporting himself against the wall, stood up and straightened his clothes slightly: "Gentlemen, what are your thoughts? To live or to die?"
